Hayes revised his plans to read the mission report when he had a chance. He was getting it now, albeit in a rather unorthodox fashion. Two guys having it out over a girl, okay. Sometimes guys just needed to yell at each other and then they were all good. Two guys having it out over a girl pretty much right over his head.. questionable, especially since it was escalating into something more than just stress release.

The agent looked back and forth between the two, a doubtful expression on his face. "Uh, guys-" he started.

Aulus' outburst jarred her from her thoughts, and she stared over at him once again in complete surprise. The argument was escalating, something that wasn't very uncommon... but she had had a very very unpleasant evening.
Zero-Point Energy!

"Gentlemen!" She said loud enough to get their attentions, but in a tone that was even, though she looked slightly more frazzled "We have had, an... invigorating day, I am positive of this, and we are all tired, and worried and upset. But if we could please, now that we are home, take a breath and try not to create hostilities among our own team at this very moment and location?"
They had Galactic to worry about, that DAMN Deimos and his... Zero-Point Energy!

Lucas was every bit ready to carry their screaming contest into the realms of profanity, but the story Aulus told - or shouted, rather - drained him of all anger, and his face of all color. The words of the agents fell on deaf ears as he stared, vaguely wide-eyed, and his veins filled with ice. Crashed into the mountains, into a mine apparently, and made to work with Galactic. Made to work with Deimos, Tethys, and Orion in order to escape. Trapped in a mine with Tethys. "I need to know about Galactic. And none of this dancing-around-the-question bullshit. I need to know." His voice was far quieter than before, quieter even than a normal speaking volume, but his tone was cold, as if dreading the response. The fact that Galactic was there - that Tethys was there - in an enclosed space with Claire for however long was more than mildly concerning.

Aila breathed a tired sigh at least one of the men finally stopped shouting, falling into the nearest seat out of sheer exhaustion. Thank goodness Faleen had taken the reigns; if it had gone on much longer, she would have done so herself, and it wouldn't have been nearly as politely worded.

Even Spook had turned her attention away from the food by this time, and it wasn't for the sake of more food. When the yelling had started, Twitch had jumped and taken on an almost stricken look, but was mostly still hidden by his trainer's head. Now the Pidgey had climbed down enough to cling feebly to the front of Alba's shirt, his head buried and mostly hidden in the trainee's collar. Food as good as forgotten, Spook hovered around the two, looking worried as Alba had to practically hug the bird with both hands to support its poor gripping abilities. As much as Alba could appreciate being told he wouldn't have to clean up any mess made in that room, and would normally let two angry guys work out their own issues, this was going to far. Did they completely forget that others-- especially their superiors!-- were even here?

"Lucas," he finally said, quietly but firmly, and stepped away from the couch and toward the older Rocket. He stopped when they were standing next to each other, but faced away from the obvious AGENTS in the room. "Whatever's going on, I know it must be important," he emphasized "know," hoping it would get across that he was trying to not jump to conclusions or take sides, "but there's a time and a place and a tone. And this isn't any of those." He gave the man he considered a friend a meaningful look from the side, silently pleading with him to think things through before he got himself into serious trouble, or worse. If brought to question before any higher ups, Alba knew Aulus would likely be able to justify his part of the argument with leftover adrenaline from the mission, and whatever roll he played on the mission could prove favorable in his defense. Lucas wouldn't have that cover, or at least no where near that level. A muffled "pop-pohhh" came from the trembling mass of feathers just under the lone trainee's chin.

He had been expecting Lucas to shout back. The fact that he didn't was jarring. "Hu?" Aulus' brows knotted, his fists unclenching but the rest of his body remaining tense. "Why do you need to?... Fine. Galactic... It was just the three of them. Deimos was shivering in his stupid little boots - claustrophobic - until Nyx sedated him. Orion's a little perv, come onto just about everything present with breasts... Tethys," Aulus's scowl deepened, a hint of growl returning to his voice as he spoke the name. "Creepy b***h," he went on, "while she wasn't hovering over Diemos, fixing a juice box for him, getting him his sandwich, she was giving Claire creepy looks, just staring at her or... smiling." It had not been a nice smile, not in the least. "What made her pick Claire out for special attention?" That question was mostly rhetorical... yet what did Lucas know? Why had it been so important to hear about Galactic right away rather than to hear more about Claire?

The shouting made Frost purse his lips. He did not approve. Not in the least. He did not like this brash young man. At least the brute was civilized enough to answer a polite question though, he supposed. Raising his eyebrows, the small man glanced between the other occupants of the room. "When we are finished discussing whether or not the Galactics were or were not looking at Claire, could somebody tell me about any interesting technology they had?" That seemed far more interesting to him, but perhaps that was just him.

"I appreciate it, Alba, and I'm sorry, but you don't know," he negated quietly. No one could know, except maybe the Rockets with a high enough degree of security clearance to view sensitive information in personnel files.

Aulus responded in a rational manner, thankfully - he had half been expecting him to keep on screaming insults and accusations - and Lucas listened intently to the explanation. He tensed, perhaps even shuddered, at mention of Tethy's behavior toward Cliare, and raised a hand to his face to take a moment to process the information. "s**t," he said at length. "Okay... Where's Claire now? No, stupid question. She's in her room. Wait, she changed rooms recently. Where is-- Never mind, I'll find it."

Tethys recognized Claire - that was the only explanation for that sort of selective regard. And if that was the case, then that entire mission could probably be likened to a near-death experience for the agent. Lucas wasted no time listening to any comments that would follow, departing the lounge at a swift pace marred with a posture of distinct worry.

Aila stared as one of the men left and offered a small shrug when he was gone, "Aren't we energetic this evening?" Hopefully it would be a bit more quiet now that one of the two noisy parties had removed himself. She reached for a drink on the table and promptly retracted that reach - why was everything alcohol? Disgusting. "The most interesting tech they came with was the jet they were using to pursue us," she said, answering Frost's request. "More interesting than that was the fact that Deimos rewired our 'dexes to function as a laser." She narrowed her eyes slightly, "Less interesting than that was that he wired them as explosives before returning them to us. Well, except Nyx's."

It appeared what she had said had not been heard or ignored by either party, she didn't care, they had stopped yelling so it wasn't a problem anymore.
Faleen did look over at Frost though when he mentioned the technology, a little more of her color seemed to drain out of her face.

She needed to look at the Dex, she needed to finish running the tests she started on the G-ball, she needed to know that Deimos was lying, he had to be lying.
She looked back over to Nyx, waiting to see if she was serious or not.
Her brow furrowed in a very troubled expression when they said the dex were wired to explode. She had been watching him the whole time, how could she have missed something as obvious as him messing with the wiring "No" She replied a little firmly "It was something that little trigger device emitted. I was watching what he was doing that entire time, I would have been able to -see- if something wasn't right about what he was doing to the wiring. That why I want to your dex Nyx, so I can determine what it was."

She couldn't believe that he would be able to sneak something like that past her, she refused to accept it.

"Okay, I hear you." Nyx looked up at Faleen and sighed, "But it is late, you're tired, have you even eaten anything?" She picked up a cracker packet and held out out to the other agent. "Sit down, play a round of poker, yes I'm serious, relax, and start working on it in the morning." Very much a thing a friend should say to a friend, not only motivated by her strong desire to play Poker- Arceus someone needed to start the game.

He wasn't sure what to do. A large part of him wanted to go after Lucas and punch him a few times but... No. Whatever the man had said, he did care about Claire as more than a teammate. He must, surely, or he wouldn't have been so concerned. Much as he wanted to turn the old man upside-down and or hurl him into a wall, he wouldn't. Let him go see Claire. Let them talk. If Lucas upset her again he could deal with it later.

Sighing heavily and visibly relaxing, Aulus drained what he could out of the crushed beer can before flopping back onto the sofa to get a fresh one and a piece of pizza. "Char, go get a cloth or whatever and clean the floor would you?" he asked of the Charmeleon. As the ever diligent fire type bowed slightly and headed for a supply cupboard, the scarred man turned his attention back to the conversation. "Was a damn cool jet," he admitted with a nod, "really tough, our attacks didn't even scratch it. It only went down because a Wingull got sucked into one of the engines. Poor little sod... Anyway, I'm pretty sure Diemos is certifiable, but he's pretty good at what he does. Oh, and eat some of the pizza Faleen, you earned it getting us out of that room."

*****

"Pretty good?" Frost echoed with a frown. "From what I'm hearing and what I've seen myself he's amazing, although admittedly completely out of his tree... Pity he isn't on our side. Mmh. I wonder if kidnap and brainwashing would be an option? Whatever he did to rig your pokedexes... Made them into a laser and made them ready to explode at his whim. Mmh. If he thought of that he can't be completely out of it. There's something more than just excellence with technology in there, even if such foresight doesn't show itself all that often." What he would give for an afternoon alone with that man, and not in a kinky or torturous way.

Faleen blinked at Nyx a couple of times, but she didn't press the subject any further... every part of Faleen was desperate to just get back to the Lab and work until she figured everything out, prove that this Deimos was not as good at everyone thought he was...
She didn't stop to consider that this might actually prove just how much of a genius with mechanics Deimos actually is.
But the other part knew nyx was probably right about getting something to eat. Faleen didn't need to go working herself sick.

The suggest for her to sit down and relax didn't just come from her friend Nyx, but it came from Aulus as well,
she blushed a little at what he said, and reached up to rub at her forehead a couple of times.
"... Alright," she said, figuring she didn't have to much of a choice.

Gosh... maybe she should have thought about changing before she tried to run around and get work done...
Making her way over to the small sink in the rec-room, she pulled her gloves off, at least going to splash her face off.

The cool water felt pretty nice, she concentrated on that, until her ears started to pick up just what Frost was saying on the other side of the room.
She froze, face buried in a cloth as she dried it off.

Alba's shoulders visibly sagged after Lucas left. So much for that. With his back still to the rest of the room, he silently unclipped a Pokeball from the left side of his belt, and muttered something to his Pidgey before it disappeared into the device. "You, too, Spook," he said a little more audibly, before the Chingling disappeared with a surprised squeak as well. It had been a long enough day already, and Alba was ready for a break.

Turning around with the intent of taking a seat, he realized one problem with that: he only knew one person in the entire room, and he was outranked by every single person present. Joy. He muttered a quiet, "Excuse me," to Faleen as he retrieved a length of paper towel from the sink area. From there, he moved back to where the pizzas had been set, picked a slice for himself, and used the towel to support the bottom as he stood beside the end of the couch. "Thanks, Aulus." Okay, now he was starting to feel really awkward. Higher ranks, and talking about things he had no idea about. Maybe it was time to take his leave...

Alba wasn't the only Trainee in the room for to much longer.
Another figure walked by, only to pause and step back to look in. A man, standing about 5'9" wearing the dark red Trainee uniform glanced around the room for a moment with a casual.
"Anyone got a light on em?"

Most of his body was covered by the uniform, but this didn't hide the, art of this individual. half shaved head, with neatly matted dreadlocks draped to one side. Tattooed Tribal markings not only over the side of his face and down his chin. But the white of this man's eyes were completely blacked out, giving him an unsettling gaze.

He didn't seem to care though, He seemed very mellow, just asking for a lighter.

...Damn. Did he have a tattoo on his eyes? Aulus looked the trainee up and down in an approving manner; clearly this was where the rest of the testosterone in HQ had gone to. Most of the men around him were fops, geeks, pansies, or some combination of the above. "Char," Aulus nodded to the Charmeleon who was cleaning up the beer, "give the man a light would you?"

"Char char." Getting to his feet and giving a small bow to his trainer the fire type turned to face the newcomer. "Charrrr!" Wooah! This human had eyes rather like his. How had that come to be?... Well it wasn't really any of his business. "Char." Bowing to the stranger with the strange eyes Char proffered the end of his tail, forming the flame into a neat cone so that whatever needed lighting wouldn't just be lit at random.

What on Earth was that? Other than a very brief flick of one eyebrow, Frost regarded the strange man with polite neutrality. "Good evening," he said with a polite nod, "have you come to join the party?" He supposed Team Rocket really did take all types. Who would get something like that done to their eyes? Did the man know that he could have blinded himself in this bid to look 'cool', or for whatever other reason he'd done it? No doubt he thought with his testicles rather than with his brain... well that wasn't actually possible but what he meant was that the tattoo man allowed hormones and emotions to rule him.

Jerome did a quick scan of the room, at the new faces... damn, he wouldn't have expected Rocket be filled with such... normal people. All the rumors they get on the streets made this place out to be much more intimidating.

Well, except that one guy over there...
The black eyes settled on the man who spoke to his Pokemon, and a Charmeleon came over.
Man, Jerome didn't know it was okay to go walking around without your shirt on, had he known that this stuffy tall necked shirt would have been left behind days ago.
"Thanks man." He grunted, jerking his chin out a little in a sharp nod of approval to this guy.

A smooth grin spread over his lips when he looked down at the Charmeleon, This beast had some good lookin' eyes, thats for sure, kinship already, awesome.

One of the stuffy looking guys at the take spoke to him. While Jerome leaned down to get his cigarette lit he glanced over to the chubby blond haired man.
Staring at him quietly before he straightened back up, breathing out a jet of smoke while he pulled the cigarette out from between his lips.
"Sup" He greeted in return. "...Just here for a light." Came another simple reply, though his eyes once again glanced around at the table and the others around it.

Putting the smoke back into his mouth he held a hand out to Aulus "Thanks again dude" He added with a casual gesture, then turned to leave.

A Gangar glided into view by Aulus and the box of beer,
"Gar! Gaaangar" It called in clear delight, snatching up a beer can and glancing over at Aulus, as if expecting the human to stop him.

"Any time," Aulus responded with a dismissive gesture, wondering internally at his laid back approach to dealing with the other 'alpha male' type. There had been a time not so long ago when he would have picked a fight just to show him who was boss, in fact he'd done that to his roommates when he'd moved into the trainee dorms... Maybe it was because he felt secure in his position. He didn't have to prove anything to the ink-eyed man.

"Hu? Oh. Well you're handsome," Aulus nodded to the Gengar who had suddenly appeared, "go ahead, nobody else seems to be drinking anything."

*****

A polite beeping from his pocket alerted Frost to a reminder on his 'dex. Fetching it out he saw; 'You have to be on duty in five hours. Either you are still awake (in which case go to bed you fool, unless you’re doing something really really interesting of course), or you forgot to turn off your notifications (in which case you just woke yourself up and are an idiot).' Thus thoroughly chastened by himself, Frost shuffled his cards back into the deck and got to his feet. "Apologies," he nodded to all present, "I must be going now. Enjoy the rest of your night."

Stepping past the tattooed man, Frost slipped out of the door and set off briskly down the hall. Deimos. He was going to have to find out more about that man. Much more. He hoped that next time they planned a move against Galactic he was fit enough to go along.

*****

As the door shut behind Frost Aulus gave a snort of amusement and muttered; "What a weirdo."
