Feeling slightly better about the topic now that Clairissa was outside, and certainly incapable of hearing them, the girl turned her full attention to Andrew. A faint smile appeared on her features, and she might have laughed if not for the heavy drugs in her system. "It would have been an awkward thing to ask." she points out, not liking the way her voice faltered slightly as she spoke. The pills were stronger than she had originally guessed, and silently she cursed Icarus for tricking her; obviously the older boy had known and used Andrew to get what he wanted. Noting the smile appearing on his face, she was about to smile in return when he spoke of sleeping. Instantly, her expression darkened and she quickly shook her head. "I'm not sleeping." her voice was more firm than it had been, as if she had forced herself to keep it steady. "You came to see me, so it would be rude of me to sleep." she wasn't going to be rude if she could help it. She didn't want him to leave, so she wasn't going to sleep. A thought crossed her mind, slowly snaking it's way through her foggy mind at a much slower pace than if she was fully conscious. "Unless you just want to leave....?" she spoke slowly, keeping all but a tinge of hurt from entering her tone. Maybe he really was mad at her for not saying something earlier?

Andrew Caliu. Necromancer.

Unlike his current companion, Andrew had no influence fogging his mind, and was therefore able to chuckle in response to the sylph's first statement. It would have indeed been a strange thing to ask, and he would have easily joked back was he not still full of surprise. Her next words caused a brow to raise, and a small sigh to sound. Even with heavy drugs in her system the princess was still as stubborn as ever. Honestly, the necromancer couldn't see how the idea of her sleeping, and healing as a result, was rude. Before he could answer, however, she'd spoken up again with a statement that sounded much more like a question to him, and it was one that he would deny. "No, no. I'm just concerned about your health." Andrew shooke his head as he spoke, if only to enforce his point. However, added to his point of health, he wanted to be able to present his gift before much longer, a task that shouldn't be done when the hopeful reciever was in her current state. Keeping himself from speaking again immediately, he took a moment to choose his next words more carefully. "Of course, I wouldn't mind staying, but I would insist that you get some sleep."

Feeling slightly better when he reassured her that he didn't just want to leave, she relaxed ever so slightly. It seemed he wasn't attempting to simply slip away. He didn't speak a moment, and without the words to latch onto she drifted slightly. She really was quite sleepy, but there would be none of that now; she didn't need to sleep, it was just the medicine being a pain. She could burn through it quickly if she redirected the flow of magic in her body, a simple task she was more than capable of, but that would defeat the purpose of the pain killers. "I'm fine." she started, taking note of the careful manner in which he spoke. "I really don't need to sleep." she insisted, completely rejecting the idea. Their last meeting had been awkward, and she wanted to rectify such. "You'd be bored if I slept." the princess pointed out, adjusting her seating position on the couch; she turned so that she was still facing him, her right leg bent at an angle as the back of the couch was in the way of it hanging normally while the other dangled off the edge of the couch.

Andrew Caliu. Necromancer.

Shaking his head again, he decided to press the issue with the very clear indications that Rina was sleepy, and therefore would benefit from an afternoon nap. "I wouldn't be bored if I slept as well." he mentioned, finding the idea of sleep to be rather contagious, plus the fact that the sun filtering into the room was really very cozy. He wouldn't mind the prospect of staying in the dorm while she slept, with the realization that Icarus probably wouldn't be the happiest of people should his sister take any time longer than nessaccary to heal just so she could listen to Andrew talk.

Oh.

Having concentrated most of his thoughts on the subject Rina's royalty and her mother, the necromancer hadn't honestly thought of the male sylph's lineage. Hm, no pressure, he'd already given an impression to the prince, and therefore didn't need to worry so much about that...Witholding any more sighs, he made the deliberate choice of setting aside anymore of these kinds of thoughts until later, when he could voice aloud any concerns to the princess.

User Image This Is For Real,

Frowning as her companion shook his head, she was quite bothered that he wouldn't drop it; she didn't need to sleep. The princess might have argued did he not come up with a fairly reasonable answer. "Nap time?" she questioned, raising a brow in question. She was edging further into grogginess, and she knew she wouldn't be able to hold out much longer. "Maybe... for a little bit." she teetered on the edge of making a decision, considering her options. If Andrew wanted a nap, she wasn't about to tell him that he couldn't take one. And if he was going to take a nap too, then he certainly couldn't slip away. "Only if you wake me up when you do." she decides, her tone very firm. It seemed the Sylph was serious, despite her foggy mind. Rina had wanted to set a time limit, ten minutes maybe, but that might be too short a time for her companion to get a decent rest. Maybe if she slept, the meds would work through his system faster? Then she'd actually be able to process what he said without taking five minutes to respond.

Andrew Caliu. Necromancer.

Watching Rina's brow raise as she seemingly gave in to his idea, he smiled faintly, nodding his head in response to her questioning tone. It was clear how tired she was, and he was honestly glad for her agreement to his suggestion. "I will." he promised to her demand, although he was still unsure if he would fall asleep; well, that was certaintly a loop-hole. Nontheless, he slouched comfortably into his corner of the sofa, briefly wondering if he should move from the furniture for the sylph. He let the idea slide, figuring that she would comment if she wanted him to move somewhere else, such as the floor.

User Image This Is For Real,

Watching him with the most skeptical expression possible, she waited for him to settle into his side of the couch before adjusting herself as well. Making a split decision in her groggy state, she sprawled across the couch as comfortably as she could manage. With Andrew occupying one corner of the couch, her head ended up resting comfortably on his chest; paying the position little mind, she readjusted herself a moment more before her eyes eventually closed. Her booted foot was propped up on the opposite arm of the couch, her arms crossed comfortably on her midsection; her upper body was successfully holding Andrew down, and it would be very much impossible for him to slip away without waking her. Almost instantly, her breathing began to slow as she let the pain medication do it's job. The princess didn't know if she'd be out an hour or a full day, but it seemed she was determined to keep her companion from running away until then.

Andrew Caliu. Necromancer.

Paying very little attention to her movement, he was genuinely surprised when his chest became her pillow. He didn't make mention of it, being quietly pleased to offer Rina help in some way, and chose to let her sleep as she pleased. Keeping still, he spent several moments with closed eyes, simply enjoying the quiet atmoshpere of the room until sleep won it's war of persistence.
~~~Sleep~~~
It couldn't have been much longer than an hour and a half since he'd fallen asleep, but Andrew felt his mind drag back into it's fully concious state. Automatically, he tried to return to sleep, always hating the tired feeling of first waking up, but it seemed that wasn't a choice. Raising one hand to stifle an impending yawn, he let his gaze wander over to the still sleeping Rina, trying to decide if he should wake up the sylph, or let her have more rest. Honestly, he had agreed to wake her up when he did, and it would be rude to do otherwise, prompting a slight push on her shoulder. After all, if she woke up naturally and found him already awake, she wouldn't be happy.
User Image This Is For Real,
Having fallen comfortably asleep, the princess was none to pleased to feel the push on her shoulder. Making a small and and inaudible noise, the princess turned slightly onto her side. In the process, she banged her leg and flinched automatically. More awake now, the girl reaches up to rub her eyes when her hand brushed what was definitely another person. She jumped, landing in an offensive stance while seated on the opposite side of the couch. Taking a moment to allow herself to awaken further, she carefully tucks away the knife that had almost seemed to appear in her hand; she was never without one, it seemed. Yawning, the Sylph pulls her good leg to her chest and wraps her arms around it to watch Andrew carefully from the other side of the couch. Looking sheepish, she rested her cheek on her knee. "I'm sorry I fell asleep on you. I was just so out of it that I hardly knew what I was doing." she explained, wondering if maybe she had gone too far. Rina was glad that he had actually done as promised, awoken her, as she certainly would have stirred if he'd been awake for long.
Andrew Caliu. Necromancer.
Quietly letting her grumble at being awoken, Andrew was thinking of a suiatble thing to say when she suddenly hit her leg, causing worry to stir in the necromancer's mind. However, he was surprised to see the sylph move away so quickly, but made no move to reassure her immediately. His brow to rose from the flash of metal, and he was grateful not to be on the other end of whatever choice weapon she'd held. Allowing her to awaken further, he listened to her words with a light smile, glad that she was seemingly aware that he was no enemy of some sort. "It's fine, I'm just glad you slept." Considering her responses to his urges of sleeping, it seemed that Rina had slept quite heavily. "How are you feeling?" His question was mainly meant for the overall health of her ankle, but he was concerned for the bump that had just occured to her leg as well, enough so that he would refrain from returning to thier previous conversation until he was sure that she was feeling better.
User Image This Is For Real,
Relieved that he didn't seem upset about her choice of sleeping position, the princess visibly relaxes. At the mention of how she was feeling, she immediately glanced at her leg. "I'm alright. Nothing I can't handle." she reassured him, brushing it off smoothly. In all truth, her leg really did feel fine; banging it had hurt, but it was a dull pain that had quickly faded. While the stronger effects of the pain medication had faded. she still felt only a dull pain. She would be fine, of course, so long as she was a little more careful not to hit it against something again. "I'll just move slower next time." she hadn't hit it hard; the flinch was more out of surprise than anything, and she had already written it off as unimportant and easily ignored. Raising a hand, she combed it swiftly through her hair to settle any knots or tangles that may have formed while she had slept. The princess didn't want to look like a sleepy mess when she was supposed to be entertaining her guest, so long as said guest was permitting.
Andrew Caliu. Necromancer.
Being fully awake himself, Andrew nodded to her words, glad that she didn't seem to be worse off, and that the medication had done its job in reducing her pain. "That's good, but I'm hoping that there won't be another time where you think I'm going to attack you." He gave a small chuckle at the end of his sentence, making it clear that he was merely joking. Letting the sylph mess her hair, he let his thoughts wander on what he wished to speak about. Unsure if her royal lineage was something he wanted to continue with immediately, he chose the topic that been a strong factor in bringing him here earlier.
Knowing from experience that he wouldn't have many, if any, issues with knots, as his hair would just fall into its original place without much urging, he ran a hand through his hair quickly. Pleased that he didn't look terrible, the necromancer spoke lightly, hoping that his addition to his statement didn't appear as completely random.. "Otherwise we won't be able to get that strawberry cake someday."
User Image This Is For Real,
Frowning the princess glanced at her walking boot, where the concealed knife was hidden at the moment. "I was just startled. I'm not exactly used to waking up on top of people." she explained, adjusting her cheek on her knee. Her position wasn't exactly comfortable, but she hoped it made her appear nonthreatening; the princess hoped she hadn't frightened him, as she did know how explosive her movements could be at times. Still attempting to instill some order on her hair with her fingers, she eventually gives up and reaches back to braid it carefully down her back, tying it off at the end with an elastic that had been around her wrist. The girl's expression brightens at the mention of her favorite treat, and she nods in agreement.
"Then for the sake of the precious cake, I shall be most careful in my evaluations." she announces, her tone containing only a trace of seriousness; it was very good cake, after all. Her mind wandered briefly, attempting to remember what their conversation had been before she had inevitably passed out. Her expression changed slowly, as if the whole thing was slowly coming back to her. Rina's expression became cautious, as if unsure of what to make of the situation. She didn't speak on it, however, and would avoid the topic altogether should he not flat out ask. "But cake hardly requires a special occasion."
Andrew Caliu. Necromancer.
Her comment recieved a nod, and he was content at the moment to watch a braid form from her hair. As she tied it off, her expression changed, and it was clear that he'd chosen a good topic to start with. However, it seemed that she was growing cautious, as if certain thoughts were just appearing to the sylph, causing him to wonder if Rina regretted going further into detail of her family; assuming that was the very thing she was thinking about. "Well, that is true." he began, shifting slightly so that he could retireve something from his pocket. Remaining as calm as he could manage, he held up the item, which was a feather, dangling on a leather string. With a bright smile he continued, studying the princess' reaction to his gift. "But I wanted to tell you how much I care about you."
{ooc: oh.my.gosh. It was actually rather difficult to find a picture of an oriole feather...a baseball team kept popping up xD}
User Image This Is For Real,
Silently pleased that he didn't bring up the subject, the princess relaxed slightly. He began to shift, however, and a flicker of curiosity appeared on her features. What was he doing? It looked like he was trying to pull something from his pocket, only causing her curiosity to grow. What could he possibly have of interest in such a small place? Her eyes widened slightly in surprise at the object he presented, and she sat straight to inspect it further. It was very simple, but she had never been a fan of fancy jewelry; one grew tired of it after long periods of time. The feather was beautiful, and it was obvious he'd spent a good amount of time trying to find one suitable. Rina remembered their conversation, about dating and which birds she liked, but she was surprised that he had actually gone through with it. Resisting the strong urge to smile, her cautious expression turned slightly serious. "I did tell you what this means, right?" she asked, just wanting to be sure. "It means you can't pursue any other girls." were they to break up, she would return the feather, and he would do as he wished with it; but until then, it would be taboo to see other women so long as she wore the necklace.
