The woman nodded and pulled on the pants Heinrich had left for her, tugging her dress over the pants and laying down again. So much warmer. Kaya curled up and yawned, nodding off slightly. Right, another early morning tomorrow would be needed since she hadn't gotten tons done today. As nice as a deer was, it wasn't water and medicine and it sure as hell wasn't going to last forever.

Heinrich picked her up gently and brought her into the room with his bed and slipped her under the covers. He went back to the 'living room' and curled up on the couch. He fell asleep smiling, knowing that there was something still living that he could talk to.

A white head peeked out the window, stretching his arms and yawning. Tired green and blue eyes practically resembling an island on a lake traced over the decimated area. Lovely morning, ugly area. Really did he miss San Fran before it became so atrocious. Nathanial held an arm out, allowing a dove to land on it before pulling it back. The bird cuddled up to him, rubbing its small head across his chest and beating its wings.
"Hungry Lenore?"
Kaya groaned and pressed a hand to her aching head. s**t, she could feel her pulse in it! Her eyes cracked open, irritating her headache further, and hissed at the sunlight that flashed in her eyes. That hurt like a mother.

Heinrich was sprawled out on his couch. Sometime during the night he had lost everything he was wearing save for his boxers. He had a dopey look on his face and one of his hands was fisted in his hair. He was mumbling something about, 'Please?' and 'I want this.'

The Editor walked into the kitchen and held his hand close to the counter so Lenore could hop onto it. A small dish had been set for her containing bird food, and he watched her eat in silence before he smiled and attempted to scrape some food together for himself.
"Another day in paradise my love. Have you found any survivors?" Nathanial glanced at the bird who bobbed its head, eliciting a small 'Oh?' from the man.
Lenore had found someone.
Kaya got up and instantly choked back to urge to vomit. For God's sake, she'd only had one little sip of the beer....Did Heinrich make it by European standards or was she just a wimp when it came to ******** my liiiife." she groaned, stumbling out of the bedroom and looking around the main room for something to shoot herself with.

A fairly big busted woman walked through the streets with a swag only big shots in the army had. Heat sensor goggles were on her face as well as an earphone that could hear a fly fart a mile away. A unnecessarily big gun in one hand and a Molotov cocktail in the other. An AK-47, one of the best Russian guns ever, and a sniper rifle both strapped to her back. Throwing knives were attached to her thighs. She was clad in a very tight fitting leather suit that just barely contained her large breasts, and high heels. She looked so improbable...but she was real, she was there, and she kicked a**. No one messed with a Russian solider and got away with it. Lets see how these flesh eaters liked the taste of her metal and steel.

Nathanial finished off his last poptart, something he had been ridiculously lucky to find, and rubbed his hands on his pants to get the crumbs off. Pajamas were the best makeshift napkins in this crisis. The man sighed and stroked Lenore's head and chuckled. What a beautiful creature, he'd been so lucky to have raised her before the end. The Morning Dove truly was a wonderful help, the best scout in the world.
"Ready to explore? I expect you to find me this....Woman?" he asked, nodding when the bird chirped to verify. "Right, find this woman and hopefully help her out somehow."

Something rustled behind the well endowed woman. She snapped around to see a living dead rushing at her. Her body relaxed instead of cowering in fear. She didn't have that ability. To cower. It was only one. And a shot would alert others. And she didn't want to waste. The second it got close enough...
SHE KICKED IT IN THE FACE.
The sound of bone cracking and breaking was soft and was like music to her ears. Once it was on the floor she finished it off by stepping on it's neck. When it had been effectively silenced she fell quiet herself and steadied her breathing that had been brought up by just a tad. She closed her eyes and listened for anything unusual. Nope. Nothing yet...YET. There was that key word. She hated being out in the open like this...but in this city it was more dangerous to be in a car. With all this debris laying around. It was clearly ineffective and rather dangerous. She would rather take her chances with snapping necks. He eyes scanned the area. No heat was being picked up. Good.

Nathanial pulled on some clean-ish clothes and tucked a lighter into his pocket, fastened a few bottles of his lovely bleach-ammonia mix and a can of hairspray onto a belt. Lenore took her spot on his shoulder, ruffling her feathers a little before the white haired man grabbed his glasses, slid them on and snagged his spear.
"Ready?" he mumbled. The bird bobbed its head and he opened the door, holding the spear ready for anything. The bird took off and Nathanial sprinted after her.

Rose suddenly heard footsteps. Rapid ******** footsteps. To fast to be anything dead...unless they were mutating. Which at this point could be a possibility. She snapped her head around and had a knife in her hand. She was poised to fling it once she saw the whites of the attackers eyes. Her body was still relaxed. The systema commands that it be so at all times.

The bird faltered for a moment before circling back to Nathanial, taking to his shoulder and flapping its wings to stop him. He didn't need to bird to tell him, though. Once he caught sight of the figure, his own legs slowed to a halt and let him rest there. A person, and actual person. He straightened up and cleared his throat, trying to look as peaceful as possible since she was packing heat. He could see the weapons from here.

Her eyes trailed over the new comer. He looked human enough. His body wasn't over heating like the walking dead. It was at normal body temp. She kept the knife in her hand but turned off the heat vision goggles and went closer to him. Not raggedy like the dead. He was in fact, human, and thats all she cared about. She approached him, mind you with knife still in hand, and nodded slightly. "I am Roza." She said simply. You could tell she had a prominent accent. "How did you find me? Your not hunting me down, Da? I will have to kill you if you are." She turned back on her heat vision goggles. If he was lying she would be able to tell...and kill him.

"Not hunting, but searching, yes." Nathanial took his glasses off and exhaled on each lens before wiping them with his shirt. Truly was this woman lethal, he could tell just from the way she spoke, from the way she stood, the way she stared at him. Those goggles were rather terrifying as well. The man slipped his glasses back on, a nonchalant expression bordering uncaring look was ever present on his features. Lenore shuffled back, attempting to hide in his hair, but he would have none of that.
'Lenore here," his hand reached back and grabbed the bird, holding her with gentle hands,"Has been helping me scout the area. She alerts me of hordes approaching, stragglers, potential threats and....A survivor or two."

She nodded and slipped her knife back in it's holder. It seemed he was telling the truth. "I see. I came here to find a vessel to take me back to Russia. I am a Russian black ops. I got caught up in this mess and now i do not know how to get back to the motherland." She said in a deadly tone. "Do you have a place of rest?"

"Indeed." The man pulled Lenore back onto his shoulder and started walking back in the direction of his little condominium. He didn't have much food left, only some dried fruit and cereal, and maybe a bottle of water....Nathanial glanced to Lenore who took off, unable to be in such proximity to someone so dangerous and sighed. Maybe he could offer her juice with the meager food?
"You must thrive in this kind of situation...Being so used to danger and fighting, right?"
