"Oki doki." She mewled, watching as Erik flapped her wings. She padded off to the elk, watching as they stopped to look at her. She grinned at the elk, wagging her tail.
"Yo." She mused, laughing when the elk tilted their heads. Then, she let her glitter fly, causing them to shift where they were. Oooo, were they going to stampede, or where they distracted?

Erick nodded, then flapped his wings and took to the sky. Chrome had better listen to him this time, or he was going to be very upset if she disobeyed him and winded up hurt again. She had barely healed from the last time when she had fallen down the hole. And if she was going to make endangering herself a regulate occurance, then he planned to lock her up in a cave and keep her safe that way.
After the vixen attracted the attention of the elk, he swung his body around and started to descend. It looked like one of the bucks was getting ready to start a stampede and Erik didn't want to watch Chrome get stamped to death.
In slow motion, many things started to happen at once. The elk all sensed danger, not from Chrome, but from the predator above, the female ran off back into the forest with the young, and the biggest males stayed behind and started to stampede toward the sparkly vixen. Forgetting about capturing dinner, Erik crash protectively in front of the small vixen and whipped his tail around, knocking two of the elk coming from one direction, then roared in anger and slashed his claws through the throat of the nearest male in front of him.

When the elk began to rush towards her Chrome froze, eyes widening in shock and fear. What? Why? She had hunted before and this never happened! However her instincts kicked in, about to dart away when Erik landed in-front of her before she could do so. "Erik!" She cried out, frightened he'd get hurt by the elk. However, the male had attacked the elk, knocking two over and slashing at another. The roar made her flinch, sparkles halting for a second.
Was he protecting her?
She was going to run away, going to obey. So why was he so worried? Because he....cared. She glanced to the side, lip twitching when a elk made a move to charge Erick. The small vixen darted forward, running under the elk and wrapping her tail around the hoof, using the elks momentum to jerk her tail and cause it to fall. Swiftly, she ripped its throat out, hoping she had helped Erik enough.

Too distracted by the attacks of the elk, Erik didn't notice Chrome was gone until she was already under one of the males. Growling, the Daeva was ready to charge and rip the elk to shreds but stopped when he noticed that Chrome didn't need his help.
"Tch..." Erik whirled around at the last elk, but instead found that the rest of the living males decided to flee rather then stay and fight. Fine with him, it was a waste of time anyway. Looking down at the three dead carcasses, Erik stopped then looked at Chrome and assessed her damage, if there was any. Which it appeared there wasn't.
"That was a risky move you pulled..." He growled harshly, but bit back his temper, "But you did well...I'm...proud of you Chrome. You are a fine hunter."

When he came over she prepared herself to be yelled at. She knew what she had done was risky, but it had protected Erik. He always was the one being protective, even when she was younger, so now she wanted to help, too.
Then he praised her. Her smile rose and she brightened, blushing slightly. She truly was happy knowing he was pleased with her, even if slightly annoyed as well. She just nuzzled his cheek happily, tail wagging, glancing at the dead bodies.
"So... we have a lot of meat to pick from. What will we do with the left-overs?"

Erik smiled at her gently, nuzzling her back. He couldn't remember the last time that he felt like this, if he ever did. Chrome had awakened something inside of him that he never knew existed. And now he knew he could never live without her. "They will be left for the scavengers...nothing gets wasted I promise." He smiled at her again, then nudged her over to one of the bodies. "Eat before they start to flock here."
Erik walked over to his own elk body, and started to rip the meat off the body and gulped it down hungrily.

Her smile rose to her face he smiled and nuzzled her, nudging him back before he went off to eat. The sparkly vixen ripped flesh off her carcass, tail wagging. When she was done she sat on her haunches, wondering if she should bother Jack and Aiken soon~ Those two had been around a little when she was a kit until she met Erik and Hiyoko, she should go see them sometime.
Though, she knew Jack had a mate now, and Aiken was wandering. Oh, it didn't matter anymore, she had Erik~ She didn't need to travel to see other people, she was happy where she was. Well, she'd be happier when Erik went to sleep, she could see if he liked snuggling~

After stripping nearly the whole carcass he looked back over to Chrome and wondered why she was staring at him with that look on her face. It wasn't a bad look, but it was one of those looks that he didn't understand. Some foreign emotion that he hadn't tapped and therefore couldn't possibly understand.
"Hm...what?" He shifted under her gaze. He needed something to do, he was itching to get out of her laser sight. Looking around, Erik quickly ducked under a low branch. "We need to move further away from this place before dark. It won't be safe to camp here for the night.

"Nothing!" She mewed, grinning at him as he moved and mentioned leaving. nodding as she moved behind him to follow. Hmmm... maybe he should break the news to him...
"Erik?" She mewed, glitter lighting the area around them. "I have a sister." She said, tail wagging side to side before she looked to the side. "Sorta... I barely know her... but she's the only family I have, so one day could we... introduce her to you? Since you're both special to me?"

Erik looked at her surprised, "You have never mentioned a sister before now." He shrugged his shoulders, "but i don't see how meeting her would hurt." He looked at her slightly confused. What did it matter if he met this sister? He didn't understand how it would have an impact on either way, but it made Chrome happy then he supposed he would do it for her sake.
"Special?" He looked back at the sparkling female.

"Yes." She mewed back. "Special." She wasn't afraid to admit it, even though Erik had given her a look. She looked to the side, scanning the dark forest before flicking a speck of glitter into the darkness.
"Because I like being near you, and I care very much about you." She added, nodding. "And my sister, too. So you two are special." She moved her head, flicking her hair over her shoulder. She didn't need him saying it back, she had heard him say it once, so she was happy. Though she herself would say how she felt whenever he asked, or look at her in confusion.

"Special....I like being special." Eric looked at her, then slowly leaned down and nuzzled her neck as he wrapped a paw around her. "Well....you are special to me as well." He whispered in her ear, like he was afraid of the forest hearing his confessions.
"Come on..." He pulled away from her, then reached back and grabbed her by the scruff of the neck and placed her on his back. "I'm taking you back to my den." He spread his wings wide and flapped them experimentally. "Hang on tight Chrome. I don't want you falling over the side."

At his nuzzle and confession Chrome wagged her tail, blushing slightly. Blushing? Erik was making her blush? She smiled at the 'Daeva, allowing him to lift her despite the fact that she was full grown now and didn't really need it. Though, she wasn't going to fight. Why fight?
Oh? She was given permission to his den? Snuggling to the spot between his wings she rested her head on his back, curling her tail around herself. Who knew? Who knew she'd end the day with Erik like this? With him even going further than she had expected, even calling her special even though she didn't require it. To say she was happy was not enough, and to say she hoped that this never ended was also not enough. If Erik never left her, she'd never leave him.

He smiled to himself as he felt her snuggling into his back. Apparently she liked it back there. He would have to make a note of that. Perhaps he could convince the little vixen to come flying with him everyday, because he would surely miss it if he was restricted to the ground.
"Hold on Chrome." Erik flapped his wings as he took a small running start then was in the air within moments. The weight on his back was strange to him, but not overbearing. He was going to have to get used to having Chrome there since she didn't have wings of her own. His den was high in the mountains, and the only way of getting there was by flight.
Maybe he should think about finding another that was more accessible from the ground, for her sake. Thinking of someone else's comfort was going to take him awhile.

"Okay." She was content where she was, and slowly falling asleep. Erik's wings flapping made her just wrap her paws around his neck gently, and nuzzle further up to be able to hold onto him comfortably. As he flew she fell asleep, though still held onto the male.
She'd never forget today, the day he finally became all hers. The day he managed to show how he felt, and even change a little for her. If only she could tell Hiyoko, one of her best friends, but she knew how poorly that'd go. Even still... she was just happy being with Erik~
