She never noticed when Mimoko left, but Mimoko’s return surprised her a bit. She looked at the black feather and couldn’t help but feel a gushing warm feeling fill her up. She also felt ashamed. Here she was embarrassed and feeling such things for Mimoko and all the other vixen was doing was taking care of her. She looked at Mimoko solemnly. “Thank you. Even if I tucked that feather in amongst my own it wouldn’t take any effect. Once a feather is gone it is gone… besides that I am not in pain.”

She stopped, eyes widening. "It's gone forever?" Her tail didn't wiggle, ears going back softly. "Even if it didn't hurt, I took a feather and I can't replace it. Does that mean it will never grow back? Did I break you?" She whispered, whimpering softly.
She didn't want to break Kimil, she adored her. Mimoko adored her?! She... she... she did. She did. She adored her. She liked her a whole lot, maybe even more than as a servant.

“Yes it is gone forever. I can grow a new feather in that spot, but it will take time. I’m not broken see I have a multitude more feathers.” Kimil lifted her wing and flapped it once to show that she was ok. Poor Mimoko seemed to feel so down and depressed.
Kimil took the black feather Mimoko had “Still if it eases your mind I will take this from you.” Kimil looked down and was blushing greatly. She didn’t want to tell Mimoko what such an action meant, she only wanted her dear servant to be happy.

When she said she was broken forever she whimpered, until Kimil fixed her sentence. "Ohh." Well, even if it took awhile she'd heal! Wiggling when her mistress took her feather, she moved to sit beside Kimil, pawing at the ground.
Was it wrong to adore your master more than a servant? Possibly.... yes. Kimil would never become hers, she was of higher class! She deserved someone better, and prettier! Besides, did Kimil even like girls? Oh, she was going to make herself sick with these thoughts....

Without looking at Mimoko Kimil raised a paw and ruffled her servant’s hair. She still couldn’t look the other vixen in the face, but she still wanted to touch the other fox. What was Mimoko thinking right now? Kimil was sorely tempted to ask and find out, but she controlled herself. Her own thoughts were of more... intimate things and if anything were brought up then she might misunderstand it. The phim still wasn’t sure how she was going to explain to Mimoko why allowing her to take the feather was such a touchy subject and caused such a reaction. Without thinking Kimil stopped petting Mimoko and let her paw rest slung across the dog-fox’s shoulders.

Mimoko was not one to break the basic rules of being a servant, but when Kimil ruffled and rested her paw on her Mimoko leaned into Kimil, head on her paws as a soft sigh escaped her. She liked it here. If Kimil got a mate she wouldn't be able to care for her as much. Kimil would be distracted. The thought of Kimil having a mate made her twitch, ears flicking backwards.
No, she really didn't want Kimil to leave her, but she wanted her to be happy. She wanted her to have a family and fall in love with someone of equal status. Well, she could still dream of Kimil loving her but, lets be realistic. Dreams were dreams.

Feeling and hearing Mimoko sigh against her nearly made Kimil stop breathing. It was unsettling and yet incredibly pleasant. Kimil tried to come up with something to talk about to distract herself from the situation. By accident she started talking about the one thing she was trying to avoid. “You know in Tzara we would be a pair? That’s what happens when foxes of the lower houses exchange feathers. Of course the highborn nobles have the councils to pick out their mates so they don’t need the tradition, but for foxes like me who have ‘noble’ blood but weren’t born into the Greater Houses we have the feather exchange to declare love for one another.”
(ah ha ha! she rambles when she doesn't want to.. *feels bad for Kimil at times*)

When Kimil spoke Mimoko jerked her head to look up, a small blush on her face? W-What? Why was she saying that? Looking over to the side her little tail wiggled once, a nervous wiggle, and she poked at the ground. So.... so they could be? Her eyes flicked upwards to look at Kimil, ears back.
"Could we really?" She asked softly, now questioning Kimil's feelings and not the rituals of her home. "B-Be a pair?"

Seeing Mimoko face covered with such a cute blush made Kimil stop breathing for a moment. The dog-fox was so incredibly cute. Kimil had to force herself to remain still; she could feel Mimoko’s tail wag once. It was soft and wondrous feeling. Why was her servant asking such things with that innocent and irresistible face? Kimil tried but couldn’t wipe away her thoughts. She was such a horrible master.
Swallowing hard she answered. “Yes. We would be. It’s a common enough thing in Tzara.” Her blonde hair fell in front of her eyes. “I don’t know how such things are handled here in the outerworld. ”
(Yes she does at times, but she tries.)

Gulping, Mimoko wasn't sure she had the answer she wanted.... She... she... She was being improper. She was being bad. So bad. She deserved to be told no, she was here to make Kimil happy. But but... She... she liked Kimil a lot, and this emotion made foxes do things they promised they never would.
Looking away, her nails dug into the earth again, ears back as she trembled lightly, nervous. "I-I mean..." The submissive fox was close to running. "W-Would you w-want to be pair w-with me?!" This is when she stood, her mind reeling. What had she done?! What had she said!?
"I'm sorry! That was foolish of me!" She yelped, a nervous blush and fright appearing on her. "I-I shouldn't h-have asked! I... you... you need new bandages, yes!" With this she began to back away, the sledfox wished she had kept her mouth shut. What would Kimil think?!

‘Would you w-want to be pair w-with me?’ Kimil couldn’t believe Mimoko had said such a thing! A rush of static ran through Kimil’s body as she heard the question. Her mind screamed YES! But her body remained motionless. Suddenly Mimoko was gone and Kimil blinked before looking up to stare at Mimoko.
The outworlder had just asked her if they could be a mated pair? Did Mimoko care for her that much? How could Kimil have missed it? She was too busy having fantasies to notice the emotions of the fox she had taken under her protection? I really am a bad master..
Why is she backing away and why shouldn’t she have asked? My injuries aren’t so severe as to need attention again so soon.I certainly don’t mind being her mate either so why…! The realization that Mimoko was afraid of Kimil’s response suddenly dawned on the phim. “It is not necessary Mimoko why not come back and lie beside me once more, but this time as my m-mate.” Kimil blushed at the word.

Mimoko was going crazy, wasn't she? She hadn't heard that....right? Her eyes widened, turning to look at Kimil. W-Was this possible? Was she accepting? Had she died? If she was dead then this life was..... death was all she wanted. The little vixen nearly collapsed right now. She stared at Kimil, dumbly, and walked over, nearly falling since her legs were shaking.
"R-Really?" She asked, staring at Kimil. "I-I'm not dead? You really mean it?" Her entire body was still. Was someone as amazing, kind, beautiful, and sweet as Kimil really....really accepting her as a mate?

Very much confused Kimil looked at Mimoko, her servent, no her mate. “Why would you be dead?” She suddenly felt a stab of concern. “The bear didn’t hurt you more than I am aware of did it?!?” She stood up and looked Mimoko over worriedly. The other vixen was incredibly still, and didn’t show any additional injures than what Kimil was already aware of.
Flopping back down Kimil looked at Mimoko still worried. “Of course I mean it. I would not have spoken thusly had I not.” Where all outworlder’s so skeptical or was it just Mimoko. Kimil didn’t understand it. How did outworlders ask to be mates if both feather exchange and directly saying it didn’t work?

The little sledfox couldn't believe it. She wasn't as amazing as Kimil, she was small and a clutz and stuttered and and....
But she had accepted her. She had told her she wanted her as a mate. Her eyes were wide, and then she inched closer. It was okay? This wasn't a dream? Even so... she could indulge in a dream.
"I-I..." She didn't speak again, blushing bright red as she ran up to Kimil, snuggled up into her, and hide her face.

Kimil froze for half a moment surprised by the sudden contact of the other vixen. Still she had to chuckle a bit.
“You outworlders are quite forward aren’t you?” She petted Mimoko softly still not really sure what to now that she had a mate. She only hoped that she wasn’t as bad a mate as she had been a master. Lowering her head so that it was just above Mimoko’s she whispered to the other fox.
“I care for you Mimoko, I don’t really know what to do to be a good mate, but I swear by my pride and honor as a Tzaran that I will learn and do right by you.”
