Red rubbed his eyes as he sat up, bonking his forehead against a branch above his head. He yelped, holding his head, tipped to the side, then tumbled out of the oak tree. Landing with an oof the young boy sat up, groaning. He shook his red hair roughly, trying to clear his head, then huffed in frustration. "Stupid tree," he muttered, scowling back at the trunk of the great tree. He stood and dusted his shabby clothes off, walking down a faint path in the forest towards the kingdom of Fentrol.
Threnody, known as Story to most for her famous tales, skipped merrily through the marketplace, her sea-green eyes bright with curiousity at what there was and wasn't to buy. She stopped in front of a food booth, her mouth watering, then jingled her small amount of coins gently. "Best not," she mumbled, chewing her bottom lip. "Not until we head out on a journey."
Alexander James William Stewart sat patiently in his study, a book held firmly in his grip. He'd never been so bored before. The young prince glanced up from the tassled pages of the read and snorted softly, hearing no one around or about. He shrugged it off with ease and lounged back on the couch, swinging his feet up and resting them on the opposite armrest. Life as a prince was good.

Two of the palace guards helped Nelanora up off the place were she had fallen. She was still faint. One looked at her with a puzzled look, while the other with worry."My Queen, is there anywhere you need to go?" Nelanora nodded. "The Royal Library. Now." She said, her voice weak and quivering. She needed to find out what those pictures meant, what special meaning they held. She knew it was important. The outlook was grim, she thought. And most of the time, Queen Nelanora was never wrong. She ordered the guards away as soon as she reached the Library. Finally having regained some of her own strength, she slowly walked over to the war section of the Library and pulled out the one specifically designated towards the weapons that started the war. The images from her vision were not in the book. So Nelanora continued looking, for hours and hours. Finally, after searching through almost all the books, she decided these images were not from the past, but from the future. The level of her panic started to rise. She needed confide in someone, but who? Not her daughters, she didn't wish to worry them. Her son? Maybe. That might be that smartest option. Her son would be able to handle it. She would have chosen her husband, but Nelanora had no idea in the world where he was. She decided on her son. "Alexander, please come quickly." She whispered inside her head, projecting the words out to her son.

Aki stumbled, eyes widening in surprise. Automatically she spat a curse word in a different the language. "H-How the heck did yu DO that!?" She did a full 360 turn, "We're in the middle of nowhere! Nowhere!"

"I see," replied King Lupin with a contemplative look on his face. To have full control over the world thanks to a maid who would become his queen appeared to be a fool-proof plan, but miraculous offers like these were to be faced with a "trained eye." "You say that you're more powerful than I but why do you offer me this and not gain these weapons for yourself and in turn control the world?" he asked with a raised eyebrow.
Yatz blinked in confusion as her mother demanded to head to the library. "First it's Caroline and now mother?" she thought with a sigh. "Bookworm-itis must be contagious." She walked away from the crowd and headed to her room where she changed in commoners' clothing of a brown pants, a long sleeved white shirt and a green hat. "Time to hit the kingdom!" she grinned as her eyes began to glow which caused the appearance of her eyes and hair to turn brown. Illusions were quite handy for "sneaking out."
Boris covered his ears with his cat paws with panic. "W-Wrong d-directions? We're going to die here." The cat began pacing with worry before his ear twitched at the girl's voice. "And you've brought the c-cootie carrier with us?"

Aki facepalmed, "For the last time, there is no such thing as a cootie carrier!" She exhaled softly, "And I'm sure there's a way out of here." She found a nearby branch and snapped it in two- using it as a walking stick. "C'mon you two." She said, blowing her bangs out of her face and twitching her wolf ears. "We're getting out of here before dawn."

While studying a rather interesting book about war tactics, Germain paused and glanced over the book. He was leaning against the wall of the Royal Library, one hand next to his mouth and the other holding the book up to his face. He heard the sound of footsteps and looked over at the direction it was coming from. There he saw his wife... and something was wrong. "Nelanora, what is it?" he asked softly and closed his book.

Nelanora stared over at her husband. "I fainted. And it wasn't good. Someone important in this war is going to perish in flames...," She whispered. "It is going to happen soon." Against her control, her wings spread out and were twitching. She looked back at them. "For the sake of gods." Nelanora pulled them closer to her back, but they still twitched. She put her hands over her face, feeling a meltdown coming onto her. The first one in so many months. She had had it under control for so long, but it was all coming back out in less than a day.

Caroline looked up when her mother stormed in. But she didn't seem to notice her. Neither did her father. Which was good. She couldn't let them see what she was up to or else her entire plan would fall apart. She bit her lip as she shoved the files in the war book and closed it tightly before hugging it to her chest. She'd have to see her brother later and discuss things with him when no one else was around. Though before she began to walk, she heard her mother talking of the war. She cleared her throat to make sure they knew she was there. Clearly betrayal and anger were shown on her angelic face. "I knew there was a war going on. But you didn't think I'd ever figure it out did you? So you just kept avoiding all my questions and you just lied to me. Well good luck making a lie convincing enough to get yourselves out of this one." she said harshly as she stormed off, still holding the book tightly in her hands. Cecile chuckled as she knew he would ask this question sooner or later. She should've known he would've guessed from the beginning. "Well, you see, I don't really care for this world. It's nothing but utter chaos and that's all it will ever be. From the many other worlds I have seen, this one is inferior. I don't want it. But I'd rather have you control it than one of the other goody goody rulers. They wouldn't be able to handle it like you would. Trust me or don't. It doesn't matter. But I know that my intentions are trustworthy whether you believe it or not. It is your choice Lupin. I could really care less on your decision." she said as she shrugged her shoulders and turned on her heel.

Germain walked up to Nelanora and embraced her. "Tell me who and I will try what I can to fix it." he muttered softly. He turned to see his youngest daughter storming away. Hmm, so she was the one researching the war, he thought. He had noticed a few of his books in the wrong spot at the library, but he only assumed it was a curious butler.

Red walked into the marketplace of the kingdom, scowling ever so slightly. Only had, what? maybe enough money to buy food for a mouse! He isghed softly, and continued walking, gazing at each and every booth and store there was. He could always become a pickpocket... But that was just a terrible thing to do!! He shoved the thought roughly from his mind, heaving yet another sigh.
Story looked up as a red-headed boy strolled into the square, his golden-green eyes holding a certian serenity while his face was clearly unhappy. She didn't understand how such emotions were possible. The sea-gren eyed girl shifted her form after she had ran into an alley and began to follow the boy at a distance.
Alexander looked up from his book when his mother walked in- but he arched a brow when his father walked in. Then Caroline stormed out. The prince heaved a sigh, getting to his feet. "Excuse me, mother, father," he said softly, his voice rich. He turned on a heel, throwing the book onto the couch, and followed after his youngest sister. "Caroline!" he called, striding up to her side with ease. "They weren't hiding things from you," he murmured, "they were trying to protect you from these types of things that could cause you unhappiness. Would you like to talk somewhere?"

Caroline stopped as she heard her brother. "They were trying to protect me from being unhappy?" she asked rhetorically before she rolled her eyes. "I know I am young but I'm not completely foolish. Do you know how worried I've been? Wondering if there was a war or not. Wondering who's getting hurt or dying over a bunch of powerful weapons! I've asked a million questions and no one ever gives me an answer! I stay up all hours of the night just wondering what's truly going on! I knew there was a war but I wasn't sure. I didn't have proof yet. But I do now!" she said before she shook her head and grabbed her brother's hand. She looked up at him and sighed. "Can we talk in your study?" she asked him softly as she calmed herself down a bit and motioned for him to lead the way.

"Spoken like a true queen I suppose," thought King Lupin satisfied. He placed the pistol into its holster and went down on one knee. To do such a thing to someone who was inferior was a blow to his pride but why ruin tradition? Grabbing her hand before she could escape, he stared into her eyes. "Then will you marry me Cecile?" he asked. If she betrayed him at the end, he wouldn't hesitate in pulling the trigger.
Yatz lay on the roof of a shop that sold rare antiques with a frog in her hands. She looked down at the target of a large woman who wore a tad bit too much make-up in her opinion. "Bombs below," she muttered dropping the frog on the woman's head who yelled in alarm. She chuckled to herself before jumping unto the roof of another building in the marketplace. "Now what else should I do?" she thought.
Boris followed the "cootie carrier" with a depressed look on his face. "This was d-definitely a b-bad idea." An earth worm stuck its head out of the ground and he hissed as he almost stepped on it. "Yuck!" he thought trotting away from the creature.

Aki glanced down, "It's just an earthworm." She grumbled, bending down and picking the worm up. "It's harmless." She flicked it to another corner of the plateau. "Now before we go any further, I'd like to know you names. Your real ones. Because it's quite obvious neither have you have been for steps outside the city."

Nelanora let out a quiet sob and sunk down to the floor. Mortal life was straining on her. The wight of the visions, which could be controlled and stopped in the other-world, and now her daughter hating her, she felt as if she could take no more. Her wings shook with each tiny sob that came out of her mouth. "I..I d..don't know who! I...I just s..saw fire and blood. S..so much blood!"
