Yoko slipped off and wondered the best way to make a distraction. Maybe if he accidently maliciously blew up one of those noise machines. Hmm but what would be the best way to destroy them. He looked around for any malicious looking rocks that might due the job. Ah that one would do it.
Minutes later several alarms where going off and a small little fire blazed in the spot the alarm used to be in. “Oops I might have gone a bit over board” Yoko stated with a not too sorry smile.

As soon as the alarms went off, Hiei angled himself into a dive. He wasn't going to wait to see how many humans ran to go look because that would give them time to come back. At least five of the humans had kept to their posts, but they were looking towards where the other had run. Hiei swooped down and away with the statue.
The humans didn't even have a chance. Hiei was far too fast for the inferior bipeds. He flew to the place he was supposed to meet his Fox and waited, admiring his new statue.

Yoko smiled as his plan worked… a bit to well. Ah well he had managed to get his agitation out on the annoying alarm and even though the humans where now shooting those fire sticks at him, there was nothing he couldn’t escape from. Well he guessed there had been the time where his life mate had died, but they had been escaping with out a hitch until Kuroune had accidently set off that trap.
Oh that was why he had been in a slight funk. It was the anniversary of his death today. Well it wouldn’t do to get all moody now and let the fire stick actually hit him. Hiei would be less than pleased and he wasn’t in the mood for dying any time soon. Sure enough he shrugged off the humans and caught up with Hiei again. “Hmmm see you got it? Any fun problems?”

"Hn. Of course not, Stupid Fox." Hiei eyed Yoko with a critical eye. "What took you so long? If you got hit by one of those stupid sticks..." Hiei warned in his customary growl.

“I promise I didn’t get hit by one of those stupid sticks. Besides I would be bleeding and you would be able to tell. No I was just remembering the date and got a bit carried away” Yoko replied. “So what cave are we going to stash it in?” Yoko asked titling his head to the side.

Hiei shot Yoko a questioning glare, but didn't want to actually ask the question on his mind. After all, Hiei knew better than anyone that there were things in one's past that you didn't want to talk about. If Yoko was going to tell him, Yoko would tell him.
Or...Hiei would eventually get so curious he'd figure it out. One or the other. The first one was more likely, however. Unless Yoko started acting like this every year.

Yoko just glared right back with him while smiling. He knew hiei wouldn’t ask about the whole endeavor and he was just fine with not telling him. He didn’t think it was time to tell hiei about the whole thing, and most of the time he wasn’t around hiei this week. He had somehow forgotten this year, which meant he was coming to terms with it.
Hopefully Hiei didn’t get too curious over the whole thing but next year he could just stay away if it was affecting him or maybe yoko will have gotten over it.

"Hn. Stupid Fox. Let's get this rock back to the cave. Which one are we going to?" Hiei asked...well demanded more than asked, but that was Hiei. The Deava swished his tail and glared around him. Now that they had their newest treasure, he was not going to let some stupid upstart steal it away.

Yoko stated at him and shook his head. Hadnt he asked that question just a few seconds ago. He went to answer but instead what came out of his mouth was. “Pfft you sure about that, because to me that sounds like the kettle calling the pot black” he teased and then thought about the cave. “How about the one next to the ocean, its close enough yet far enough the humans wouldn’t think to look there.” Yoko decided.

Hiei knew he'd already been asked the question, but it was Yoko statue. The fox could pick his own cave. "Hn."
Hiei went back to studying the statue. Neither of them would be able to carry it that far alone. They'd have to work together to carry it to the ocean. Hiei's muzzle wrinkled at that, he wasn't too fond of the ocean. Still, the statue looked long enough to allow them to fly side by side fairly comfortably.

Yoko turned towards Hiei and then back at the statue. He knew that Hiei wasn’t exactly all that fond of that particular cave but it was the closest. “You know this is the anniversary of my first Mate’s death today. It was a botched heist, well I got away with the loot in the end so I guess it wasn’t that botched. Part of the reason I was ‘in retirement’ when you found me that one time” Yoko stated like it was just pleasant conversation. “but don’t worry I wont be this weird next year, promise firefly.”

Hiei turned and regarded Yoko. Slitting his eyes, he stalked over and nipped Yoko's ear. "You better not. I don't like it when you're distracted. Besides, you don't need to think of him anymore." Which translated meant: I'm sorry about your previous mate's death, and I'm sorry you feel sad. However, I'm indestructable and I'm supremely jealous you've been thinking about him all day. "Well, not too much anyway."
The Deava awkwardly nuzzled Yoko under his chin for comfort before jumping gingerly on one side of the statue. "We should get going." He said, looking away with his patented glareblush.

“ack… I need that ear” Yoko said through veiled eyes. He reached up to tug on the ear. It was different from any other male phim that he had seen and male normals as well. It was like a cat ear only different he supposed. “I didn’t know that was the reason I was distracted until we came face to face with the alarms on the heist today.” Yoko replied. Since he was an expert on Hiei speak he got what Hiei was really trying to say and smiled. Just a small genuine little smile that only hiei got to see every one else receiving smirks and evil smiles.
Suddenly his eyes went slightly wide as he was nuzzled. It was so un Hiei like but at the same time it was. A little mirth crept into the smile but he wouldn’t dare let out a laugh now. “We should…” he replied happily. Ah the cute little Glareblush had made its appearance.

"Hn." Hiei said in response, still slightly uncomfortable with the show of affection. He stretched his wings and flapped them gently a couple of times. He had to remember not to try and get the job over with as soon as possible. Yoko couldn't keep up, physically, at Hiei's top speed. His wing wasn't fully heal either.
Hiei made a noise in his chest that was half a growled protest, half a happy sound at Yoko's happy tone. "Come on, Fox." He said, lifting his side slightly off the ground.

Yoko just smiled and took up his half of the statue. He couldn’t wait until his wing was better. He might not be as strong as Hiei or as fast but he was one could say more flexible and at times agile of course. Looking over at his wing he made note to figure out exactly where Kaname seemed to live he was an excellent shaman and Yoko might go back later if he was ever hurt beyond what he couldn’t deal with it himself.
“Alright… Alright Hiei I’m coming” He said still smiling. Yoko didn’t know who Hiei thought he was fooling he could hear the own happiness in Hiei’s voice … growl but maybe it was himself. Hmmm thoughts for another occasion now they just needed to carry away their loot.
