With the fallen had gone one island it seemed. It was hard to judge the effect that made to the stretch of that next jump and he again looked to his right contemplating the short cut, however he pushed the thought a side and jumped to the island in front of him. His footing was sure and he was growing in confidence as the time grew, the distances from island to island were much the same and with a clear run he could perform the same fluid action numerous times. However he soon got to the jump were that island should have been and he judged the next gap, it was large, almost as large as the short cut earlier on, he shrugged at that, well never mind.
Bending his knees further down than the last two jumps he was trying to get more momentum behind him so he could make the large gap. He landed, his feet taking to the shock and his knees bent to follow the force, he steadied himself quickly and smiled ever so slightly underneath his mask, this was strangely exhilarating and he was beginning to enjoy the competition. He took two more jumps then stopped.
He looked back the distance he'd come, a sense of achievement flooding him and he gave himself a mental pat on the back but then his eyes sought a target, where was Eta Two. Way back on the original island, there was no way back no and he hoped Eta Two would find the courage to push on, the falling islands must of shocked him but he knew from the fight with the horse that the boy had courage, he'd pull through. He himself turned and looked at the islands closest to him, to his right was another even jump but to his left was another short cut, cutting out a great distance and putting ever so close to the reaper, the pendant and out of the threat of falling to his death. He decided he'd go left next... He who dares wins.

Her eyes widened as she watched the two plummet off their islands and into the chasm. One of them was a Zeta. Seven, the one who had just greeted her so cheerfully at their reunion, now at the bottom of a pit. Goddammit
But Z9 had to keep going. She didnt particularly fancy meeting the same fate, so it was time to jump. Nine shuffled to the edge of her island to try and get maybe a step of run up space, and then jumped.

Hop, hop, shortcut. This was quite a big shortcut, so she was taking it even if she risked death.
The gap was pretty big and it was hard enough just jumping from island to island. But, she needed to swallow her fear. Nine gulped, took a deep breath, and leapt. Fingers crossed as she flew through the air, that goodluck notion seemed to pay off as her feet hit solid ground.

Eta II watched as V fell into the gaping chasm, half feeling oh my god DDDD: and the other half glad that wasn't me . The earth beneath him wobbled a little, but Eta II had become more familiar with his feeling. Bracing himself, he leapt forward onto the islands in front of him.
He soon approached a wide gap where an island had once been. Oh yes, the reaper did mention that there had been another casualty for island-overcrowdedness. It was a fair distance, but Eta II steeled his nerves and told himself, Dude, gotta do what you have to do. Bending his knees and getting into position, Eta II prepared himself for that leap. 1, 2, Take Off...

Bravo! Perfect landing. Eta II heaved a sigh of relief as he steadied himself on the island he had just landed on. He looked towards the goal - it was getting a little closer.
By then he had decided it was better to take his mind off the fact that he could be falling, falling falling falling into that pitch black nothingness. He did however, wonder how Eta III was doing. Leaning out to see if he could catch a glimpse of him, Eta II soon decided that that was a bad idea. The ground island he stood on tipped and wobbled, forcing him back towards the center.

The hooded figure watched as the progress across the islands continued. The humans were all too concerned with their own problems to notice his flinch when Delta Six fell while trying to leap across a larger gap between islands. For all that he wasn't that person any more, or so the other figure had impressed upon him, he had been fiercely proud to see two of his earliest allies still alive. Now the faint pang of guilt wracked him - Delta Six might have lasted longer if it wasn't for his game... He had to push those feelings aside. That man was dead - literally. Now he was just another strange figure and tormentor to those still living, a 'Reaper' if they were under the same miscomprehension that he had been. He focused on the remaining players of the game. The rest had much better luck when jumping across. Most of them had just paused to take a breather when it happened. Several of the islands began to shake. The figure snapped his head from left to right, but couldn't see any islands bearing three people for the unlife of him. It was now, after several moments of shaking, that certain islands began to move. "Look out!" he yelled to the players. He was too late for Theta Six, who fell of her shaking island. Other islands slowly rose or fell - moving not sideways, but vertically. When they finally drew to a halt, there were now several places where islands were nearly directly above or below each other. Perhaps new leaps were available to those brave enough to chance them. Of course, that was only for those who had survived the shaking. (( The major islands that moved are highlighted in yellow. If you are on one of these islands, you must roll a ten-sided dice to see if you held on - evens you made it, odds you fell. People on an island next to the yellow ones, if someone falls you can attempt to save them. Only one person, though. If more than one falls, you'll have to decide who you want to save - if you want to save any of them, that is. Roll a ten-sided dice - evens, you pull them onto your own island, odds they slip through you hands and fall. New shortcuts will be explained in the next GM post. Kaori-luv's player has fallen due to lack of activity. It has been 24 hours since round two began, and longer since her last post. ))

Look out?
The ground was shaking, his island, moving. Zeta12's heart started to pound quickly in his chest. No.. No no no! I can't die yet! He thought to himself. No no no no no no Hold on hold on.. He repeated in his head. Just hold on!
Then it stopped. His quickened breathing slowed, and panic started to fade. He made it. He had the Devil's luck, it would seem. He breathed a sigh, checking to see if anyone else survived.

Some of the islands were moving and shaking pretty violently. Zeta 9 just so happened to have the fantastic luck of being on one of said islands.
She crouched down to try and gain a better center of balance, clawing for a non-existant hold on the floor. I'mgunnafallI'mgunnafall.
Nine felt herself let out a pretty pathetic squeak as the floating rock gave one last shudder and then finally came to stop, her body dangerously close to falling. Breathing a sigh of relief, she straightened up and watched as the layout changed around her.

((just a litttlee bit late))
Before Eta V could make the jump, the platform had given a wobbly shake, and began to collapse with him still on it. His eyes were wide with fear behind the mask, and still he tried to jump across, but to no avail. His mind was frozen in pure terror, while his body was bound by gravity and began to fall, the darkness reaching up to meet him.
But, even through all the terror of falling, there was a small part of him that felt glad, knowing that he had saved someone else even at the cost of his own life. Was he dying? he didn't know. But it was a small token of peace that he would carry with him wherever he ended up.

One let out a bit of a scream as her rock started to move. She flattened herself on it and prayed to what ever god was watched that she wouldn't fall. She felt herself slide but once the rock came to a stop, she stopped moving as well.
"Thank... god..." she muttered, looking up from her flattened state to those around her.
((Question. Does my rock move to the middle position or all the way to the end?))

Bones felt his knees shake and give way as he fell to them, hitting the ground hard. Vibrations from the platform underneath him nearly knocked him clean off of his teetering slab of floating rock. A heavy breath squeezed out from his lungs and he moved back to his feet, glaring down at the platform. "Now, why can't we just get along?" The comment came out weakly, like a whisper. Dwelling on the near fall would do nothing and he concentrated to keep himself from looking to those who fell. He felt the sorrow sink into him, feeling that hollow sensation once more... then it was gone. Apathy was overflowing and dwarfing the human side of him. I bet they'd like that...
How bitter that thought tasted. Eyes focused he looked forward, antsy to leap once more.
