In Sin (( Would you mind specifying which scenario you had in mind for this riddle? Pity I'm too manly for your liking. If it wouldn't be too much trouble, I would like the name to read "Incinerator (In Sin)" in order to avoid any confusion. After all, I am not necessarily known for my name. I would, however, prefer a prize of monetary value mrgreen )) First scenario, but both scenarios are practically the same. But what does that matter? You won so quick, spoilsport. Here I was ready to read interesting guesses.
Hm? Extra prize? ...Put it on Dante's tab.(Hahaha. How much do you want?)

Honestly, from the moment I read the riddle, it became a personal challenge. I did not mean to rob you of guesses. I find it most interesting what a person's imagination will concoct. ))

strawberry_hearts4 He didnt believe him because he was drinking water and he said they were out of water. Too bad! Hall was the one who gave him the water to drink. I think it's time for all of us to drink the water... of knowledge!

Adamaeis Wouldn't the seaman who killed the guy be to weak to move the body into the cabin? Tsk, tsk. The dead man was already in the cabin when he died.

I thought he hit his head against the starboard railing, which would be outside the cabin... Right?

Adamaeis I thought he hit his head against the starboard railing, which would be outside the cabin... Right? Good observation! Only on a normal boat though!

Well then I dunno.
Guesses
the killer was hobbling onto the boat which could have been a sign of a struggle.
The killer asked for a second glass of water, which would conclude that he wasn't concerned about telling the guy what happened.
After three days of not having fresh water the killer wouldnt have been able to walk.

After three days of not having fresh water the killer wouldnt have been able to walk. In which case, Long restraining Bill could have also caused them to hobble into the cabin, yes?
Not at all! If I had no water for three days, I would have asked for five drinks!
You're right! That's why he staggered! ...And was helped on by Hall.

In Sin (( Sorry if I steal this one too, but how could he drink ocean water if he was in the cabin? )) Didn't Long say so? He was trying to restrain him from drinking it. This and that could have happened, ya know?
