"In Japan people don't make friends like that. They are more sportsmen like. He understands that in English culture we call each other by our first names, he doesn't understand nicknames. He doesn't know you well enough to let you just nickname him. So why not back off a bit and be more formal till he knows you better."

Alex kepy on glancing over at the coaches as the ball was being passed to her then to other teammates and herd their life story, then when it was her turn she would share.

Kai sighed. The coach really didn't seem like he was going to move on this issue. "Well, the team can call Maru whatever they want. They can call him Ace, they can call him Haikimaru, they can call him Maru, it's whatever floats their boat. I can't stop them. Besides, I wouldn't be much of a half imp if I didn't cause some ruckus." Getting ready to step back in the circle, he gave one last look at the coach, "If he comes back, I'll explain it to him the nickname is simply a way for us to become comrades on our square field of battle, and if he hates it so much, all he'll have to do is score on Pierre. Once he does that, I'll ban everyone from calling him anything else... but I think Maru is going to stick. Easier to shout on the field."
The moment he stepped back in the circle, the ball immediately came to him. "I leave for a few minutes, and the moment I'm back, everyone's curious." Tapping his finger to chin, he hummed in 'idle' thought on what to tell them. "The first position I ever played was goalie. First game I took a shot to the face that broke my nose and knocked me out cold. The coach never put me back in goalie because they scored on me." He looked over at Alex, and passed her the ball. He had been curious as to who she was, exactly. He hadn't seen a whole lot of angels who played soccer lately. She was bound to have something interesting about her.

Alex stopped the ball and thought. Then she got it "I'm no ordanary angel. You know how angels can do loads of things? Well the only thing I can do is make fire come out of my hands." She smiled then passed the ball.

Coach smiled at the captain. Just because a person was captain didn't mean it was going to be easy or hard. The man wanted to support good behavior. "I think that is all that Haikimaru wants. Is respect as a player from the lead player. Working with him will be the hardest. He's from a different culture and you have to remember he has to get through those culture barriers too. Another boy I taught had to learn the same thing when he was captain. A boy from a German family with boys from Italian, English, and Asian families. You'll meet him." The man commented as Pierre returned with Haikimaru in a floating bubble. The purple haired boy seemed to growl while being carried by the pink haired man.

Kai looked over at both Pierre and and Haikimaru returning. Haikimaru with a pout, and Pierre with a triumphant stride. He nodded at the coach, "Looks like I have a few things to explain, then." Once again, he picked himself off from the circle, or at least tried to. A player once again kicked the ball back to him. Trapping the ball, he weaved it around his feet as he thought of a cool fun fact. "I failed first grade, P.E because I refused to do the weird dances."
He kicked the ball back at Alex. After hearing that she was limited to only one ability (outside of the standard airfare all angels have,) he had a bit of interest in her. "Alex, your turn again. You seem to be in fire today." He (lamely) joked before tapping her on the shoulder and moving to meet Pierre and Haikimaru.
When he got up to them, he had on the same cocky smile he wore most of the time. "Pierre, you really can stop anything. Stopping perfect shots, and now stopping people from leaving. I think you'd be one helluva Vice Captain."

Pierre smiled. If he hadn't lead the life he had while he was younger he would have taken Kai up on that offer. "I'm a wizard. Theory has it we can do anything. I am however sorry. I must decline being VC. I would have to leave at regular time and some days I wouldn't be able to show up." Pierre told him. He didn't go into much detail about. The coach already knew.

Alex chuckled and passed the ball on with out telling anything else. She was looking to where the coach and caption were so she forgot. Then she looked back to the group and herd other teammates' stories.

Kai shrugged, "Well, was worth the try. I'll find someone else to be the Vice then. Go join the others, they're playing with the biography ball." He turned to face Haikimaru inside his bubble, and he took his finger and popped it. "Haikimaru, I think we need to have a 'cultural exchange' so we may better our teamwork on the field."
He turned back around quickly and shouted at Alex in a playful manor, "Hey, hey! I saw that Alex! You passed and said nothing!"

Pierre made sure the ball was passed back to to Alex. He would take the job as temporary VC. He just couldn't do it forever. There were too many things on his plate. Haikimaru on the other hand looked at Kai. "In Japan our nicknames for each other are our first names. All of it. Once we become true friends then you can by something else. When that time comes you can call me Haiki. It sounds more modern than maru." Haikimaru told his teammate before joining the rest of the group.

Alex laughed at the caption's sentence he said, then she shouted back "Sorry! I was day dreaming!" Then when she got the ball she thought about what she was going to say, "When I am very happy I can do things really fast on my feet." Then she passed the ball back to Pierre because she has not herd anything from him.

Pierre smiled and took the ball. He had to think of something. There were so may things about him. He thought it was better to not say anything until he was asked about it. He didn't want people to get the wrong idea. "I want to study insects in the Amazon after I'm done with school and have a family with more than one child." Pierre commented. "Now lets ask each other questions. He passed the ball with a good kick to the Captain. "What's your favorite drink?"

Kai sighed. "Sorry to say Haikimaru, but the nickname I gave you is probably gonna stick for me... call it rude, but I like it. You can give me a nickname if you wanna call it even."
Re-entering the circle, the first moment he joined (again,) Pierre passed him the ball. "Really, Pierre?" He joked. "Well, favorite drink... favorite has to be the human made gatorade. Nothing more refreshing than a cold one, and nothing more disgusting than a warm bottle of the stuff." Looking around, he passed the ball over to Haikimaru. "Alrighty, then. I want an honest answer. You're a foreign exchange student, and I'm pretty sure girls here fawn over you. How many girls have asked you out since you've been here?" He grinned, "Honest answer here, pal!"

Haikimaru placed the ball under his food and frowned. He did not like the nickname he had. He would prove that it was better if to stop the name or he'd leave. "Who says I need to ask girls out. They ask me. And who says it's just girls." Haikimaru kicked the ball to Alex. "Out of the Captain Baka, Pierre or me are you most likely to date." He asked her.
