Syous stood outside of the restaurant that stood before him, looking up at the place in amazement. "It's a lot bigger than I thought it would be." He thought as he took a seat on a nearby bench as he waited for Allistar. He couldn't help but smile at the fact that it had been a year that they had been together, they both felt the need to celebrate in some way. "A full year...it's felt like so much longer." He said to himself, fiddling with the small bundle in his hands, a gift for Allistar.

Syous almost missed Allistar's arrival, the bandage always had that problem when it came to people walking in from the left. At the last second, he heard her voice and smiled, hugging her the moment she was close enough as he stood up. "Allistar." He said happily, giving her a small kiss on the cheek before smiling again. "Happy first anniversary." He said, slowly breaking the hug to hand her what he had been holding onto since the moment he left the island. Firstly, there was a small bunch of four to five black roses, neatly wrapped together by a clear plastic sheet, the thorns carfully trimmed back. "Your favourite, right?" He asked, smiling lightly as he then handed her the second item. This one was much harder to identify, mostly due to the small beige box that contained it, silver chain with a simple, circular sapphire pendant.

Syous smiled as she took the flowers, relieved that he actually got it right. His smile widened at Allistar's reaction to the pendant. The moment he had seen it, Syous knew that it was meant to be around his lover's neck, in his mind, it matched her eyes and hair perfectly. He carefully took the the box she offered him, tilting his head lightly in curiosity. Seeing the flower, his eyes gleamed slightly as he looked back up at Allistar, happy she remembered as well. As Syous took the chain and key out to get a better look, he felt Allistar's lips press against his cheek. Turning back to her, he kissed her in return. Thank you so much Allistar." He said softly. Before putting the key around his neck, he gently took the necklace from her hands and walked behind her. Carefully unfastening it, Syous placed it around her neck and connected the thin chain at the back. Giving her a small kiss on the shoulder, he turned her around to get a better look and smiled. "It looks a lot better on you than in the box." He said happily as he put his own one on. Lightly gripping the chain in one hand, the azalea in the other, he smiled. "A whole year, it's almost hard to believe so much time has past...yet it feels like we've known eachother for so much longer."

Syous smiled lovingly at Allistar as she spoke and kissed her lightly on the lips. As much as he wanted to just stand there and kiss her, they did have a reservation within the steakhouse, which was coming close to starting. Reluctantly breaking the kiss, Syous took Allistar's hand and nodded to the building. "Let's go, don't want to be late, from the looks of it there's already a lot of people in there." He said, smiling at Allistar again as they headed towards the front doors.

It wasn't long before a waiter came to ask if they had reservations, Syous nodded and told the man his name, who then confirmed that there was one under Gestalt for two people in the reservation book. Before long, they were shown to their table and each given a menu. As Syous sat down, he smiled at Allistar before taking a quick glance around the place. Indeed, there were many people, mostly other couples or groups of friends, but it was a relatively calm atmosphere, nobody raising their voices and so on, it was nice in Syous's opinion. Opening his menu, he looked down at the seemingly endless list of foods. "There's so many choices...this may take a little while." He said, smiling sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his head.

Syous nodded lightly and looked through his own menu again. "I think I'll go with....the stir-fried noodles." He said, closing the menu and smiling lightly. A waiter came by to ask if they were ready to order, Syous nodded momentarily, but turned to Allistar quickly. "Anything you want to drink as well?" He asked.

Syous looked up at the waitor and nodded, indicating that he'll have just water as well. As he turned back to Allistar, he blinked when she asked her question before tilting his head lightly. "Umm, what do you mean? Am I happy with what?" He asked, obviously a little confused by her question.

Syous blinked when it became a little clearer to him. Before saying anything, he leaned forwards and took Allistar's hand gently and smiled. "Of course I am Allistar...was there something I said or did that made it seem like I wasn't happy?" He asked, trying to figure out where the question actually would have first arose. He loved Allistar more than anything, whenever he was near her, he couldn't help but smile, nothing could ever change how it was between them through Syous's eyes.
