Oh boy, Frost was getting worse. That was going around Alexander's head even as he nodded to Faleen about his name. It seemed like his roommate was crashing and crashing hard. Time to get him back to medical. His eyes flickered over to Faleen when he was asked about the injured before looking back at Frost. "I think there were two or three others that were seriously harmed, everything else was all superficial at best." He had honestly been more focused on Frost so he couldn't remember the exact number at the moment.

"Pardon us though as it looks like it's time to get Frost back." Xander said before standing up. Conrad moved off his feet so he would walk before the grunt collected all of the food and put them on the trays. He quickly left, threw away the trash then returned for Frost. "Alright, time to go. It was nice to see you again." He said to Frost and Faleen respectively.

"Agreed," Frost murmured to Xander in rather distant tones, "I suppose I ought to have been sensible enough not to come here in the first place. Apparently cracking my ribs robs me of... of the ability to think like a logical human being." Repressing a grimace the blond pushed himself slowly to his feet before turning to regard Faleen blearily. "When I can make sense of the world again, I would be glad to talk more to you about the Ariados," he said with a slight nod. "Although by then maybe you will know more than I know so... so then you could tell me about it..."

It was now time to be quiet, before he humiliated himself any more than he already had. Fighting to keep his hand from shaking (and more or less winning the battle) Frost reached out for Xander's arm, still silently berating himself for not staying put in bed to begin with. He supposed the doctors could have insisted harder, but understandably the bulk of the focus in the medical bay had been on the man who was actually in danger of dying rather than just in danger of folding up pathetically. He should have exercised more caution.

Closer to ground level, Skiron was also thinking that he should have been more cautious. He should have tried to make his trainer stay lying down safely, but he hadn't wanted to contradict his master when he insisted he was well enough to cope. Next time he would know better... Well, actually he hoped that there wasn’t a ‘next time’, but he had to accept that they lived dangerous lives now.

As they moved on towards the medical bay Frost was only certain of a few things. Firstly, he was very sore indeed. Secondly, it was important to hide this as much as possible. Thirdly, he wished he wasn’t leaning on Xander. Fourthly, he didn’t want to stop leaning on Xander. Finally, he was fairly sure that he was having a pretty terrible day all in all. Dirty, painful, confusing... One last thing, too. “I have caused you a lot of trouble today,” he murmured to Xander. “My apologies. Once you deposit me back in the medical bay you are welcome to leave and relax. I do not wish to be more troublesome than I already have been.”

He didn’t want to be left alone in that place... Well, Skiron would remain, but he was not human; the Glaceon could not tell the staff not to touch him more than necessary, or instruct them not to force painkillers on him. Had he told Xander about that? He wasn’t sure. Well, it didn’t matter anyway, because Xander would be leaving. He would survive. He might not be pleased with how he was treated, but he would survive. There was no logical reason for asking the grey-eyed young man to stay with him.

Alexander gave one last nod of goodbye to Faleen then helped Frost out of the cafeteria. He kept the pace fast enough that Frost would be back in medical soon but slow enough that it wouldn't farther harm the other man. Xander made sure to constantly be alert if he would need to either carry Frost again or if something else happened. "It's alright. Everyone needs help sometimes with no exceptions." he said, quoting what his father had told him once. "I think I'll stay even if just for a little while." of course what he didn't say and was pretty clear in his under tone was that he doubted he would leave medical tonight either even if he would have to sleep in a chair. There was no way he was going to be able to one leave Frost alone and two he wouldn't be able to sleep very well anyway with all his worrying.

Conrad moved so he was walking in front of the little group, acting as a look out. He was determined to make sure there were no obstacles in the way of them.

"This is true," it was true, "but nevertheless... I would prefer not to have done so. I would prefer to have bothered somebody else... But no," Frost frowned thoughtfully, "no actually I would prefer to bother you... Well no. I mean..." What did he mean? "I would prefer not have have bothered you. However, I would not care to lean on anybody else. I would not trust them."

Xander had always been nice to him, right from their first meeting. The young man didn't seem to mind his cool demeanour, or all the other things about him that seemed to make a good portion to society find him tiresome. He supposed that made them friends? He wasn't sure. He did approve of Xander. He was bright enough, good at keeping up a conversation, patient... But then there was that issue of attraction. He'd never had to deal with that with Dith, the only real friend he had ever had before. Could you be friends with somebody you were mutually attracted to, or did there have to be more? He wasn't sure he was capable of sustaining a romantic relationship; he had no idea where to begin with the silly and or sappy things couples were supposed to do for/say to one another. Too difficult to think about, especially at the moment. Perhaps the only thing that was important was that Xander would stay a little while; the tones that said 'no chance I'm leaving you by yourself' totally passed him by, and so Frost was left wondering just how long his roommate (possibly friend) would remain.

As Conrad took the lead, so Skiron brought up the rear; if anyone thought they were going to come charging down this hallway like a Tauros in a china shop they had another thing coming. This 'other thing' was a sharp bite somewhere sensitive: he wasn't usually even consider behaving so badly, but making sure his trainer stayed safe was far more important than being polite.

If it wasn't obvious before, it was clean now that Frost was out of it. Alexander didn't take offense of the man's ramblings but instead found it amusing. "I understand." he said with a smile. "I don't mind." At least he knew that he was special to Frost in some way or another. Neither of them were ready for much more at the moment so it was more then enough for him. They finally reached the medical and Xander opened the door for them both. "Now to find a medic." he said and looked around the room.

Conrad moved to walk beside Xander once they were in the medical. He continued his job of look out though andd peered for anything that would be a threat.

As the pair entered the medical bay a rather tired looking doctor appeared from around a corner, sighed, and pinched the bridge of his nose; apparently the Rockets who had been out on the mission were not the only ones having a very long day.

Some minutes later, Frost had been ensconced on a bed in the far corner of the room with an IV in his arm which, despite his protests, was sending a steady supply of opioids into his bloodstream. After some slightly jumbled complaints about privacy and places to sit (which had come once the complaints about the painkillers had petered out) movable curtains had been placed around the bed, and a chair beside it. "I told them to stay away from my neurotransmitters," Frost muttered as the doctor finally retreated, "but would they listen? Extremely rude." At least he would probably fall asleep before too long, and so the altered state of mind the drugs brought on wouldn't have time to loosen his control and make him do or say things he would otherwise avoid doing or saying.

For his part, Skiron was quite pleased to have his trainer drugged; he might not be at all happy about it, but a little colour was returning to his face now. Frost was still very pale (very much paler than usual that was), but at least the human was no longer as white as his fur was. Yawning and stretching, the Glaceon climbed carefully up onto the end of his master's bed and curled up; though his eyes remained open for the time being, it was clear he was planning to sleep soon too.

Alexander sat in the chair left for him while holding Conrad on his lap and watching amused as Frost did his version of pouting."Well at least you should sleep easier." he said to the other man then stroked Conrad's fur. "But don't worry, I'll make sure they don't bother you more then needed." He promised with a smile. He was tempted to reach out and hold the bleach blond's hand but refrained.

Conrad had his eyes half lidded and was chirruping happily at the pets he was getting. Soon Frost and Xander would be asleep, as he had seen Frost was the only one that had been drugged even if the doctor had been more sneaky when it came to the younger male, and it would be up to him and Skiron to be look outs.

"That much is true," Frost sighed distantly, "and... and thank you." Not alone. Hard to understand, but good. Sighing again, Frost allowed his eyes to drift closed. As he did so, the hand that rested closest to Xander tightened briefly on the sheets, as though the pallid man clasped at the hand of a friend. He relaxed quickly, however, and slow deep breaths betrayed the fact that he had already slipped into sleep.

Watching his trainer made Skiron feel even more tired, and as such he shut his eyes and waited for sleep to claim him too. Unlike even the most wary of humans, however, the smallest sound that seemed out of place would rouse him again. The subtle shiftings of Xander and Conrad were not out of place. Those two were theirs. Their people. Different. Special somehow. No matter how ill his master was, their presence did not trouble him. It comforted him. Friends. Allies. It might take Frost longer to truly accept that he cared for and was cared for by this pair, but Skiron had already realised and returned the affection. For better or worse. Yes. In days to come, they would make a good team.

It was only after Frost had fallen asleep did Alexander touch Frost's hand briefly. "Your welcome and good night." he whispered with a soft, sleepy smile. He settled down in the chair and quickly fell asleep, the small smile still on his face. Xander hadn't even remembered to remove his hand from Frost's.

Conrad quieted his chirrups to an almost unnoticeable vibrating purr as the humans and Skiron fell asleep. He planned on staying up a bit longer to keep watch even when he knew the Glaceon would wake up if anything happened. He eyed the human's clasped hands then turned his eyes to where the curtains would open in watch, pleased.

When Alexander had voiced getting Forst back to medical, Faleen held a hand up gently, nodding in agreement at the same time "I think thats probably best."
She didn't want to presume anything, or voice the condition of someone she didn't know very well at all. but he looked like he was around ready to fall over.

She did smile when he said that he would attempt to discuss the device later, and even voiced interest of knowing more if she happened to pick around for details... hopefully she got to.
"Lets hope we get to it in time than. Quick recoveries Frost"
She glanced to Alexander when he said it was nice to see her again. "Likewise." she replied.

It was probably best she not get distracted at the moment anyway. right now she should probably bring the large strange Ball to the labs. and report it to Elite Seth.

"Agent Nikki, Agent Sorano" she said, politely in a tone of pleasant departure, excusing herself from the table. book tucked under her arm, the large ball held in both her hands as she also excused herself from the cafeteria.
