Yeti nodded and steering them towards said cave. “Its really easy to get hurt up here so instead of dragging my self back to my home I have little hideaways that hopefully closer to where I got hurt.” He pointed out and then noticed she seemed to be looking for stuff. “ah the firewood is hidden all the way in the back in a small little alcove” he replied hoping that was what she looking for. If not well that’s where the firewood was.

Venton looked around again. "Your right very dangerous out here....How come you live out here alone again?" she asked hinting to that it wasn't something safe to be doing. She smiled at him when he talked about the firewood. "Oh ok good I was worried it was hidden out here in the snow somewhere. Cause that wouldn't be good at all."

“Well because my ancestors moved up here and then we developed thicker coats for living up here and my family lives or lived up here” Yeti replied again with a smile. “Although as long as you’re careful and respect the nature around here you can cut back some of the dangers. Ah no I store it inside dry wood burns better. Its really hard to light wet wood. I’ve seen some humans manage to do it but I haven’t been so lucky so I store all my wood in dry places.”

"I can respect the whole my family's family has lived here thing but maybe you should move a bit more down the mountain where its a bit safer hmm?" Venton asked as they walked closer to Yeti's hidden spot. "Very true but you never know when you accidentally leave em outside in the weather so I had to wonder." she said with a laugh indicating that she had done something like that before.

Yeti tilted his head to the side and pondered it. “Humans like to go down to those areas and I was always told to avoid humans. I guess I kind of move down there during the winter when the humans aren’t as likely to come there.” He answered. “ah I tend to remember quickly and backtrack until I find them again. Then I put them in another pile to dry. Living up here you develop a sense of what not to forget” he explained.

"That would make sense I guess. But there are ways of living near them and being able to avoid them" she pointed out as she shivered again. "I'll have to keep you around me more often in hopes that trait will rub off on me."

“Yes I suppose they are other ways of avoiding humans but further down the mountain there is less snow. So I can’t hide very well. White tends to stick out a lot.” Yeti nodded, that and he was a bit hesitant to leave his home, he knew how to survive up here. Down there he wasn’t sure he could. Sure some times he went down when a blizzard drove the snow line further down but that wasn’t too often. “Ah well then I’ll try to be of some help then” he nodded.

"I'm sure you would be ok if you moved further down white or not. I mean look at me I'm purple and live in a forest. Not the easiest place to hide from humans but it can be done. "Venton told him reassuringly than nuzzled his neck as they entered his little hide out. "I'm sure my father would love it if you rubbed off on me some. He might worry less than."

“I guess during the winter months I could start moving down a bit and trying my hiding techniques out, that way I should have some snow just in case I burn spectacularly.” Yeti mused. “Yes but Miss… ah venton is very dark purple, so you can blend in with the shadows. White just stands out” he blushed and almost froze up when she nuzzled him but he was slowly getting used to it. “Well I think as a dad he’s going to worry no matter what”

Venton looked down at her self and noticed that he was right. She never did pay to much attention to her self. "Well I know you can live down there because my daddy is just as white as you with a tiny bit of purple. So that means you can do it if he can." She told him trying to encourage him some more. "Though your right about dad he worries about everything. Bet you he is freaking out since I'm not home yet." she giggled at the thought.

Yeti could definitely argue that the difference between her father and Yeti himself was that her father had grown up in such an environment so even though he was bright white he had learned how to move around. Yeti hadn’t grown up there so it would be harder. Of course he didn’t because that would be too much arguing and perhaps would be considered rude. “Well yep parents freak out and worry a lot, although you look to be an adult so he should let you out to explore the world and get a sense of who Venton is” Yeti nodded.

Venton eyed him over. She could tell that he wanted to argue more about it but he didn't which surprised her. Everyone argued with her that was just what was done and always had been. It seemed a bit odd that he wasn't going to but she didn't push it. She would take it as a win. "I am an adult though I swear they still think I'm a kit. Any ways you sit right here and tell me where the wood is so I can get a fire started."

Yeti just smiled as Venton seemed to eye him over. One always had to have the best of manners as a host and Yeti wanted to play out his role as much as possible. “Well it’s a parent thing like I said, and its made even worse by the fact they waited for sooo long to have you” he replied with a nod. He got up his leg recovered enough to move with out any problems. “Firewood is here” he answered pulling out a few logs. He wasn’t going to let her do all the work.

Venton let out a sigh. "Yeah your probably right but it is still frustrating as ever either way." she commented before going over to help him drag the wood out. "Here you sit there and I'll pull the wood out and you can light it on fire since I don't know how to do that." she told him gently nudging him to go sit before dragging the wood back deeper into the little cave and in the middle. She did this till there was a good size pile.

Yeti waited until Venton got a pretty good pile before thinking about sharing a cave with his mom those early winters of his life. She could actually create fires better than he could since she had been a shaman at one point of her life and could summon little sparks to ignite the pile. Of course Yeti had also learned other ways since he didn’t seem to have gotten her shamanistic abilities. “Yeah I’ll start it” It took a while of sparking two rocks together because he had to be careful and didn’t have opposable thumbs.
