(( MINIPET ACCOUNT I hit my 4 posts mark aaaaaages ago but I'm still cool to RP.)) OhJackohJackohJackohJackohJackohJackohJack ohJack! They were in the water! Again! And this time Junko had no floaties or anything to keep her afloat! The ghoul let out of a cry of unhappiness as she fell into the water, scrambling back up to the surface in time to be picked up by a shark. She whimpered, clinging to it desperately for dear life. She didn't want to die, she didn't want to drown, she didn't want to be lost at sea; she wanted to go home or at least be on laaaaaand! She got her wish though not in a very gentle way, finding herself being thrown from the shark and landing on the beach in her PJs. Gah! What...what just...?! Ugh, and the fog was so thick! Not more fog. Anything but more fog. Ugh. Junko pushed herself up to her feet and trudged across the beach and to the supply tend, looking around with a small frown. "Riley? LW?" There were so many students around! And some who weren't even on their boat! ...Wait...did that mean Seiji and Yaya and Kasumi and Tomoko andandand all her friends were here now too?! She grabbed a knapsack and the wooden toy sword and looked around, more excited now than she had been this entire trip. Her friends. She had to find them. She had to!

Barth washed up on the beach in a suit, minus his luggage, and plus a lot of salt and sand. It was hard to make out the other dark, shifting forms on the beach, but there was a light....
He rolled over to look at the sky.
More fog.
He could swim, technically, but he preferred to float, and he had spent a lot of time doing it. The waves and the currents had deposited him here. He stood, heavy from being so wet. He should haven taken a grappling gun, at least. He didn't even have his hat. Not that it mattered. He shivered, walked towards the light.
He found an open tent, and three tables.
Supplies? Like Christmas Town. Oh, good. ...Where was Mandy? He didn't see her, or West, but the fog was thicker than blood. He picked up the lightest of the items and put it in the pack. Were there any teachers? Authority figures? Instructions? No. He wandered back towards the shore instead.
"Hello?" He called out.

Again, Gabrian opened his mouth, but just as soon as he opened it... he thought twice about what he was going to say, and closed it, tapping his chin thoughtfully. Something about the way he looked, thoughtful despite the obvious high he was apparently on seemed to indicate that he'd decided this was neither the time nor place. Later. He'd address this all later. Now, he was going to focus on getting himself his hard earned hugs. When Alessa spoke up, the demon smiled down at her, "Seems like a fair trade," that done, he did indeed hug her, nuzzling the side of her face briefly before Ren came over, "You should rest," it was the last thing he told the nagual before he shifted her weight in his arms and passed her over to his best friend, "She's fine," this was murmured at the gryphon as he took a step back away from the couple, "She doesn't smell of blood, and I think she has no broken bones. She's just exhausted, and possibly famished." It was as far as he got before LW was finally able to walk over to him and hug him, rubbing her cheek on his chest, "Puppy!" he apparently instantly perked up, and again, it became quite clear that despite his earlier words, the nix was not his usual self, "Puppy, I missed you!" he leaned down to offer her a hug and then with apparent ease, lifted her up in the air and twirled her around once, "How much trouble did you get into, on that boat of yours, hmmm?" because knowing her, it wasn't a question of IF she'd gotten into trouble or not. It was a question of how much trouble she'd gotten into, "You are not leaving my sight till we get off this Jackforsaken island," granted, his words would have probably had more impact had he not been currently nuzzling his head against her. He set her on the ground and then, seemingly out of the blue, smiled at her, "Piggyback ride?" apparently, it hadn't really been a question, because he didn't wait for an answer, turning around to let her jump on. It was while he was doing this that he caught sight of Jove, (not to mention the supplies he'd ignored thus far), "Jove?" he walked over to the other boil and crouched down before him, still carrying LW in the piggyback ride, "I'm not sure if you're lost but..." he motioned behind him slightly, "I believe your Big Brother is back there with us. would you like to join us?" that said, he straightened up to his full height and then curled his tail around the Wooden toy sword and a knapsack. There we go. All set. He was going to be prince charming, with his... probably useless wooden sword. Yeeeaaah.... he wasn't really looking forward to this filedtrip; it was very much starting to remind him of the Christmas Raid. (( Profile - adding this again now that I finally picked up my stuff))

Ah.. I had admired that boat. Our boat was.. small. And cramped. But rather eventless, for the most part. So I will not complain. At least we all arrived here safe and sound. Her eyes scanned the beach for a moment, finally landing on a little scene quite far away. Not all of the boats had arrived safe and sound, as far as she knew.. she couldn't help but notice a severe lack of both Jericho AND Malodore. How long would she have to worry before one of them popped up to assure her that they hadn't sunk to the bottom of the sea?
Nevertheless, when her eyes caught a glimpse of white, she realized it was Calder bent over a lifeless form. She sighed deeply. It looks like someone's in trouble. I'm going to go make sure it isn't anyone I know. She pointed over at Calder and his friend, before heading in that direction.
She stopped, just as she was about to pass Gabrian again, and took a step back. This would become a problem, she instantly realized, as she took a deep breath in. Her eyes fluttered closed, and without really thinking about it, she slid her arm around the back of Gabrian's neck and wrapped her arm around his shoulders in a loose hug. Her eyes opened to find LW on his back, and she smiled sweetly.
You're welcome. She responded quite belatedly to LW's thank you while she looked up at the ghoul from over Gabrian's shoulder. I'm glad I was able to bring you back to Gabrian safely. It was my pleasure. It was difficult, but not impossible, to remain pleasant and affectionate even in the fact of the aching that was filling her. Being around so many.. mmm.. they all smelled so delicious. Her eyes betrayed nothing of her dangerous thoughts. She counteracted her terrible need by simply hugging Gabrian, and by association LW. She looked absolutely benign. Now, I leave her safekeeping to you once more, Gabrian. She looked up at the demon mischievously, reaching up to brush his hair back. Her hand lingered there. No. No. She wouldn't give in. She pulled her hand away hesitantly. Don't let me down.
It would be safer, she decided to maintain more of a distance to others than she was currently allotting. She disentangled herself from the two, and continued her path to the beach. She caught sight of Calder's face just as he turned, and moved to look at - of course. OF COURSE it was Christof. At least he didn't seem as lifeless as he had been a moment ago. Calder's words, however, briefly made her consider giving up on holding back. Just this once. Just this once..
Christof. She barely managed to murmur out, using him as a distraction from her hunger pains. She bent down fluidly to one knee, cocking her head down to get a good look at him. You look terrible. Are you hurt?

Groggy from the remaining grip Hyde's potpourri of chemicals had on him, Christof's brows narrowed at Calder as though his friend had drank too much salt water himself when suddenly that voice filled his mind. Without turning, his hand reached out to grip the kelpie's arm as though he were suddenly hearing the voices of the dead, but by the time he had regained his bearings, she was RIGHT THERE BESIDE HIM.
Purple purple purple purple purple was he hallucinating her? What was real where were the bats? Shimmering, rippling purple bats from the horizon were increasingly growing more ludicrous to him as the recently ingested Hell-O burned its way through the violet in his vision.
Eyes wide and trembling, the hunchback lurched forward, suddenly throwing his arms around her, squeezing perhaps a bit too tight as utter relief seemed to erupt out of him in the form of a tight strangled wail in the back of his throat.
Thoughtyouweredeadthoughttheyhadkilledyoueatenyou!! WhatisinHell-Oanyway?? ThoughtyouweredeadIhadfailedyou HYDE! HYDE KNEW HYDE TRICKED ME His thoughts came in a frantic, chemical rush, punctuated by an adrenalhin kicked aggression as he seemed to refuse to let her go now that he knew she was alright, bad chemicalsshouldn'tdrinkCruel-Aid bad for brains too much purple thought Iimaginedyou- MISTRESS! He seemed to get his bearings back... marginally, finally loosening his grip to try to scramble to his feet, Are you really alright? Can I get you anything? I am here to serve you Mistress! It was practically a beg.

Ren took Alessa from Gabrian's arms, giving his best friend a grateful nod. Sliding an arm around his ghoulfriend's waist, he led her over to where the tent was, helping her to sit down. Crouching in front of her, he took her hands in his again, reaching up to brush a few damp, stray strands of hair from her face.
"Shhhh," he said gently, smiling at her. "Shhh, it's okay, it's not your fault. The boats all just sort of..." Ren let out a sigh, shaking his head. "They just sort of...converged here, staggering in, and not exactly in a pleasant manner, either."
The memory of being thrown into the churning black waters of the ocean were still fresh in Ren's mind, and for a moment he was back to being seasick, a wave of nausea shuddering through him. He closed his eyes briefly, reigning the sickening feeling in his stomach in, before he opened them again, trailing his fingers softly down the side of Alessa's face.
"It'll be fine," he said. "I'll find him. He'll be okay."
Ren really, really hoped that was true. Jove was very stubborn, yes, but he was small, and quiet, and therefore easier to lose in situations like these. He put his forehead against Alessa's, inhaling deeply before moving back, gathering her in a loose hug. Just beside them, Gabrian had finally claimed LW back for himself, and was proceeding to spin the ghoul around happily. It made Ren smile, and he shook his head, rolling his eyes.
"Being around all this water is making you a little loopy, Sir Snake," he said dryly spinning a finger beside his ear to indicate his meaning. He caught sight of Riley briefly, standing quite near to Gabrian (Was she hugging him? The fog was making it difficult to see well), which made Ren raise an eyebrow, but he shrugged and turned back to Alessa. About to say something else, Gabrian turned to walk away, LW on his back, the movement making Ren turn to see where he was going. At first Ren was not sure what the nix was looking at, but the demon was crouching down in front of something...
...or rather, someone. Ren felt a huge swell of relief course through him, and carefully standing up so as to not startle Alessa, he darted across the sand towards Gabrian and LW.
"JOVE!" Ren yelled, skidding on the uneven surface as he ran towards them.

Calder watched as Christof flung himself to Riley and hug the ghoul tightly. The kelpie's ears started to drop as he watched him continue to hold her, longer and desperately. It really didn't improve Calder's mood that when he tried to see if the boil was okay, he nearly got punched and then when Riley came around, he was more than excited. Demons. Igors. He was really starting to get upset over their bonds.
Rising up, he dusted sand off his kilt. "I'll let you two have a moment." Whatever that was. He turned and flicked his tail, not bothering to glance at Christof as he left before he really got miffed. He just hoped the hugging fit was over by the time he got back. Walking up, he perked up when he saw Barth and waved. "Barth!" He shouted, and moved over. "Glad you're not dead. Didn't think the sea would suit you." Not with all the luxuries the boil was accustomed to. He still looked a bit wet around the edges. "Christof and Riley are down at the shore, but you might give them a moment. OH, but you’re his master. He'll probably hug you like no tomorrow to. Go on and cheer him up. I'm sure he'll go back to crying if he thinks you're dead." His words were a bit sharper than he intended.
Passing by, he went into the tent, flicking the flap of the tent a bit harder than he needed to and stepping in. It was a simple arrangement. Tables for stuff. He reached over and picked up a knapsack and walked over, before looking at a pile of……….what the heck was all this junk. Table legs. Pipes. Empty First Aid Kits. OH!
He reached over and picked up a book. "I haven't read this one yet." He smiled, taking his heavy, worn, old, book and knapsack as he left the tent, flipping it open to look over it's condition. Still readable!

Jove now headed towards the tent with the supplies, seeing more students but not yet anyone he knew. Lots of familiar faces, classmates, other ghosts from his dorm, students who had jostled him in the hallway, but no friends. He whined, trying to peer between the taller bodies to catch sight of a shipmate or friend. That was when he heard his name called. His ears twisted towards the voice, masculine and very unfamiliar, and Jove turned to see who might be talking to him. At first glance, the tall, green-haired boil was immediately intimidating, and thus frightening to the lost pup. Even kneeling down and talking in a gentle voice had Jove backing up warily. Even LW on his back got the "I'm watching you," face- Wait. LW was on this guy's back? Did he kidnap LW? A little growl escaped the pup, although his attempt to bristle up and look big himself was foiled by being soaked through head to toe. He must have looked more like a drowned rat than a dog. As the tall boil reached for a bag and weapon, Jove grabbed a knapsack and an old book and held it defensively in front of him in much the same way he had first faced Ren. He seemed about ready to bash the snake boil in the shins with his book and save LW when he heard a familiar voice. His pale eyes went really wide, and his tail gave a little wag, and then he ZOOMED towards the gryphon. There were few things that could bring up his spirits like seeing that his big brother was safe and more or less unharmed after so many days off at sea. (( Profile))

Garrett apparently found boats soothing. He managed to sleep through damn near everything on his boat. Or maybe it was just Red's boat. Or maybe something Red herself did to him. Who knows.
Either way, the avarice demon felt quite refreshed, albeit rather starving as he stumbled away from the 'sharkwreck'. He was wet, but the shark-ride had been rather exciting. Until it decided to ram it's face into the shore.
He glanced around at all the other students littering the beach, only to let his eyes come to rest upon a familiar face. "Hey. Pony boy. Feeling a little... doused, are we?" He chuckled as he clapped a hand on Aedan's back after stepping over to him. "Cheer up bucko, it'll only get better from here, right?"

If Elaphe had been expecting to stay alone, he was underestimating the draw of a lone-soul on a certain kitsune who had practically gravitated over to the sulking small thing boy. However, she didn't exactly cough up conversation immediately, just sitting on the rock near the boy and staring at him.
With huge eyes forever.
It was probably like having Nosi staring the boy down. Only Nosi wasn't a blonde of epic soaked-fluff. But Tomoko was close. Maybe.
Thump thump. The girl's tails sort-of-thumped against the dirt.
.... ......
What was she hoping for from the boy?

Once Riley walked off toward Calder, Aksaja sighed softly and glanced back toward Yaya and Sharra . . . but then caught sight of another familiar face. Ah, the puppy-boil from swimming lessons!
"Jove," he called, waving a bit as he noticed how wet the other. "Did you get dumped off a boat too?"

... He felt doe eyes burning into him all of a sudden.
Elaphe knew the feeling well, but this? This was a little different from the pleading gaze of Nosi, or even Donner's tremulous, teary-eyed stares. For whatever reason (be it intense concentration or simply woeful disinterest), he'd failed to notice the approach of some... pathetically innocent looking girl, and there were a few tense seconds following in which he just sat rigid in place, as if trying to delay the inevitable. He could already sense that, somehow, this would lead him to great suffering.
Finally, he followed the sluggish gaze of the turtle over his shoulder and saw her. Giant-eyed. Confused. Willowy and yet still somehow a lot taller than him. Also...
"... What?" he asked her, trying hard to sound sharp and intimidating, but he was tired, and it came out far too gentle for his liking. Terrors of the Deep were NOT gentle! "Are you lost or something?"
He didn't even realize he'd probably pegged the nail on its head.

If there was one brain in this entire island that did NOT smell delicious to her, it was Christof's. Ugh. Riley barely managed not to fall over completely when the patchwork attacked her. His thoughts were jumbled, and nonsensical, and some of them downright hurt her mind to hear. His arms around her body echoed that pain, as they squeezed just a little too tightly. When he finally seemed to be making sense again, she looked into his eyes, worry flooding her own. Am I all right? Is that really the question here? You seem completely out of sorts, Christof. His offer did not fall on deaf ears, however. She was tempted.. so very tempted.. if there was one person who could help her with her need right now.. but no. She wouldn't. She couldn't. I'm fine, Christof. Whatever you saw on the boat.. wasn't me. I was safe on my own boat. Just.. try to relax now. We're safe. She brushed his hair in a comforting gesture, over and over. Her arms wrapped around him to give him a hug. We're safe.
They were, as far as she could tell.. but.. the only thing that overpowered her hunger was her worry for her best friend and the plague doctor who held her heart. Where were they? She was moments away from diving back in that ocean and swimming until she found them herself.
And maybe stop for a quick snack.
Suddenly, she blinked as something quite belatedly registered. She heard her name, somewhere deep in the fog, when she was heading into the tent. How she had missed it then, she couldn't say.. but it only hit her now. Who had called her then? She didn't recognize the voice.. but she was sure she hadn't imagined it. She disentangled herself from Christof and tried to help him stand.
Come on, you need supplies. She wanted to coax him over to the tent, and also try to find out who had called her name..

Q________________Q
The mooky eyes were put into place when Elaphe's inquiry did indeed hit the nail right on the head. Tomoko never knew what she was doing. Why it was Elaphe who had attracted her attentions...?
She didn't know him at all and that wasn't fair for him. Clearly she had to spread her time and attention around as much as possible, after all. SHE WASN'T ALLOWED TO HAVE BIASES. Even if sooner or later she'd be lured off by Seiji or Junko or someone else she was familiar with.
Which likely meant Elaphe would be wrangled along to go with her. FORCED SOCIALIZATION, GO!!
"Yes." she answered plainly. "And I hope if I sit over here outside of all of the business long enough, Junko-chan or Seiji-kun or someone I know will find me...."

"Crying?" Barth asked Calder as he zoomed past. "Did he... Are you wet?"
He didn't see any familiar ships docked at the beach. Had any of them made it? He could see a silhouette of what might be Riley heading his way.
"...Do you know where we are?"
