Hearing a voice ahead in the light fog, Aurian put on some speed. Rounding a bend, she spied several figures, barely more than silhouettes. She slowed, relieved to have found someone else, taking care not to hurt herself by hurrying along the treacherous path.

"Hello!" she called out. As she drew nearer, she thought she recognised one of the voices. Feminine and very familiar... One of her former shipmates?

"Holly! Oh, you don't know how reassuring it is to see a familiar face out here," Aurian said as she drew close enough to see the other students. One of Holly's companions had also been on their ship, she thought. "And... Saviour, correct?"

She turned to West. A faint flush appeared on her cheeks, embarrased by her bad manners. "I'm so sorry, I don't think we've met. My name is Aurian, I was on the same ship over as Holly and Saviour. Um... do you guys know where we are? I think I got lost on the fog after leaving the supplies shed, and then suddenly I was here... Wherever 'here' is," she gave a small laugh, still a little flustered by the experience.

It was completely manly, peeking around buildings looking for anything moving to hit and/or run away screaming. It really was, no matter what his heart may tell him, as long as there was action, its manly. But it was another empty alleyway, with a tumbleweed to boot. Jack, this town was old.
It was so odd to know that you weren't alone but you still can't find anyone. It felt unsafe, and tense. And OH CANDLEJACKS SOMETHING MOVED.

He couldn't help but hide behind the empty barrel that was in front of him, ears tucked to his head as he peered out from behind the structure, again feeling like a creeper like when he came across the tentacle lady crying on the red hatted person's shoulder. He might need to seek help on campus for that. Uh, Y'know, if they can get back at some point.

He was too far away to make out the form of the moving objects, but if he can't see them, maybe they can't see him. Creeping behind a barrel can be manly too, Jack dammit.

A mysterious hooded figure has been watching the student's actions all this time. Out of nowhere the seemingly fade from the fog right in front of your student, grabbing them away from the others. Your student is being attacked!

West frowned as Holly emerged from the fog. How had he missed another of those stupid reapers? "Iffeny of'em come near me I'munna kill'em!" he growled. Maybe they should have looked into bringing some medical supplies when they left the beach. With all this fog around, the boil's only concern had been getting out of this place. Frankly that was still his only concern. "We should jus' keep goin', I guess," he replied, turning to face Aurian as she approached. He had never seen the ghoul before, but she already seemed overwhelmed and he wasn't feeling particularly snappish at the moment, at least not toward his fellow students.

"'M West," he muttered. "An' I got no idea where we are. Goin' tha'way though." West turned and pointed farther down the trail, but when he looked back, the new ghoul was gone. "Where'd she go?" Holly had said she was nabbed by a fighting reaper when she had returned from wherever she had been. Maybe the same thing had happened to this Aurian ghoul.

Aurian let out a shameful meep as something appeared between her and the group. Her face flushed red. How utterly pathetic of her. A Reaper should be much better than that! She'd simply have to show this thing who was boss, in order to regain some pride.

She stared at the apparition. That cloak, that weapon... "A Reaper?" she asked, tilting her head to one side. A tiny one, to be sure, but it did fit the stereotype for one of her kind. "But why would you...?"

She broke off when the creature attacked. Luckily the giant scythe-blade missed, cutting harmlessly at air.

Well, clearly whatever it was - even it was a Reaper - it was not on her side. Brandishing her rusty pipe in two hands, as though it was her scythe, Aurian reached for her Fear. Perhaps it was the lessended fog, or perhaps it was the adrenaline of battle, but it wasn't quite as sealed as on the boat. Small shadowing limbs seemed to wind around the weapon, giving it an added effect beyond the norm.

Aurian gave a pleased smile to see it, and darted forward. She swung the pipe, making a controlled horizontal slash at the tiny reaper-figure.

There is no explanation for their actions, they move quickly and efficiently, swinging forward with their weapon. The object stings upon contact, leaving your student feeling oddly even more tired.

The cut stung - strangely so. Aurian bit back on a cry of pain that wanted to escape, only permitting herself a "tch" sound. Reaping was something she took very seriously, and while this fight may not be to take anyone's soul and pass it on, she wasn't going to be soft against any opponent. Her faintly glowing eyes narrowed. The look she gave the fiend wasn't one that anyone who'd met her so far would be familiar with - gone was the friendly, helpful girl who worried over others. Aurian the Reaper was here for business.

She fought against the wave of lethargy that had overcome her when hit with the strange blue axe-scythe. When she moved forward, it was with less speed than the first time. The pipe swung overhead this time, striking down at the hooded figure.

Oh! It was one of the reaper girl's from her boat, what was her name? Aurian, that was it. "Same! You can travel with us if you want, safety in numbers right?" And then she disappeared. "Okay, this place officially sucks. West, let's just keep going and maybe she'll turn up?" They had yet to lose track of Savior which was easy seeing she was on the boil's shoulder still.

Holly hoped that Aurian would catch up after dealing with that hooded figure. Jack knows that wasn't a fun fight she had with one herself. The ghoul kept on down the path. "I'ma keep going. Maybe we won't be nabbed if we stick close." Was there someone hiding behind a barrel up a head? "You see that up there?"

As the pipe nicked the hooded figure, Aurian could see the bright, blue axe pulling back. They swing forward, gracefully arcing through the air.

Lucky for Aurian, it seems to miss... this time.

He was having a stakeout. yeah, that was it. A stakeout. It would be nice if he had a piece of steak instead. oohh yeah, a nice piece of bloody meat to tear and gnaw into. Damien couldn't help but chew on the metal pipe and wish that a mad cow would just saunter past with a sign that said "Eat me!".

"Man, even a ghost cow would be nice right about now."
he moaned out, poking his stomach to stay quiet and let him get back to his stalk- stakeout. But it was so hard to hear what was going on over there! "Maybe I should just stick my ears out a bit more." He decided to peek out a little farther, ears straining to hear the tones and syllables, but the fog was so good at muting sound as well as sight.
And kicking a fog bank wouldn't get it to go away sadly.

Or eat it. It was so depressing, and good for nothing.

Aurian leapt back as the axe swung down at her, managing to avoid it again. It wasn't effortless, though, as it left the green-haired Reaper panting. She wasn't sure whether her sudden lethargy was due to the Fear coating her makeshift weapon... or if there was something worse about that axe than just it's sharp edge. Either way, she really didn't want to get hit by it again.

This time when she swung for the figure, she swung low. It was impossible to see what was under the cloak, but hopefully whatever it was had corporeal legs that could be damaged.

The small, hooded figure lunges quickly towards the reaper, spinning it's axe, light bouncing off it, making it almost appear to be glowing eerily. The blow seems to create even more of a hazy feeling.

"Uh huh." West was all for that plan. He tightened the fingers of his left hand around his bat and continued forward, glancing mostly off to his left and right, since those seemed to be the only directions he could see anything in. He did look forward when Holly said she saw something, squinting into the fog. There was movement up there, but for the life of him, West couldn't figure out what it was. "Yeah," he muttered. "COME OUT'ERE!" It probably wasn't the best idea to shout given that there were attack reapers around, but West was sort of the poster boy for 'act first, think later.'

Aurian grunted as she was sent sprawling backwards. For such a tiny figure, this thing sure packed a hell of a punch. She struggled to her feet and ignored the dirt now coating the seat of her dress. One hand raised to her head. Her surroundings were spinning. Red eyes squinted at her opponent, who wavered like a mirage or a poorly formed apparition.

"This... isn't good," she had the strength of mind to realise. Not that she could do much about it now.

The young Reaper stumbled forward. To make up for the fact that she could see two hooded figures at the moment, she made a wild, wide swing with her pipe, hoping to strike as much in front of her as possible.

Aurian's attack hit and pushed the hooded figure back. Instead of causing it to back off however, it seemed to brush it off as if nothing had even happened. For such a small, round figure, it moved quickly and was soon up in Aurian's face, it's weapon cutting through the air towards your student.

The blade misses, however the pole catches you and sends you a few feet back as the figure follows after.
