Sonja leaped back lightly and grinned, "Ha!" She then squeaked and leaped back again tying to evade the second hit she figured would be coming.

Karloff heard her laugh as he swung his back feet out at her, leaving his side slightly open.

Sonja saw her opening and went for it, bucking on her front legs and kicking out with her back.

Karloff let out a load "OOFPH" as her hooves hit. His front knees buckled a little, but he launched his full weight directly at her.

"Woah!" tried to brace against the impact but only managed to jar herself in the process. Somethings you just can't fight, like gravity....

Karloff landed heavily, the rolled to his feet. He was a little jarred and disoriented. "When you're going down, don't be afraid to take someone with you." He smiled a bit lopsidedly, regaining his balance. "You okay?"

Sonja shook it off, frowning at her ruffled feathers. "Note made," she replied shaking a few twigs out of her mane. "And I'll live, you?" she grinned back. "You're looking a little tipsy."

"Let's take a break," he shook his head to clear it. "It's been awhile since I've really---well, I'm out of shape." He purred as he cleaned his hoof/claw. "Do you feel like this will help you?"

"This is you out of shape?" she laughed stretching out her tense muscles. "I guess I'm glad I never faced you in your prime. And yeah, I'm feeling pretty good about this. Not good enough to go running off after a skinwalker, but I think I can manage myself. What do you say, Sifu Silvermane?"

"You are doing very, very well." He smiled, "You're just being kind. I've very out of shape. I haven't hunted enough recently myself. My son, I had to teach him." He smiled at the thought, "You should meet him. He's very in shape now. Grown up nicely. Ailbhe and I, we found him as a basket. He's a different kind of fight than I am. Would you be interested in sparring with him?"

"Huh," she cocked her head to the side. "Didn't take you for the father type. Not sure if I should go running off into any confrontations so soon...still trying to get the basics down, you know?" She pawed at the ground, "Then again...experience is everything, isn't it? And a new experience might not be the worst thing."

"It wasn't something we expected so soon, but hopefully there will be more to come." He laughed, "Yes, you can certainly use more practice, but Lucian would only be a sparring partner not a true attacker. But yes, you need as much variety as you can until you're comfortable as you can be with any confrontation."
