Docks

Major Ramoja walked quickly up the dock toward the freighter. Commander Reichardt had ordered this matter be dealt with discreetly. C-Sec was not to be involved. With that being said, Major Ramoja wanted this over with quickly, rather than delicately. The Major was good at talking his way out of an altercation, but he'd rather get this mission over with haste, instead. It should have been a cake-walk, anyway.

Which is why he was surprised to find the doors to freighter wide open for all the enter and exit through. Already, this op had hit a snag. Ramoja stifled a scowl and stepped forward. Moving forward along the docking tube, he slid his pistol out of it's hip holster, and pointed it towards the interior of the ship. He could hear voices up ahead. That wasn't a huge surprise, considering the circumstances, but that was another snag along this mission, too. If things got hairy, he might have to abort.

Carefully-- slowly-- he stepped silently into the airlock and slid up straight against the wall. He glanced back down the docking tube, from where he'd come. There was no one watching or following him. Inhaling sharply, he leaned forward just a tad, so he could peer around and see just inside to the right of the airlock, pistol down, held in both hands, ready to be raised quickly and pointed at an intruder should that become necessary.

"Sure thing boss, maybe I'll find the deadly oxidizing agent and put a round through it," The comment had been in some humor but also showing he still did not believe some chemical of cargo simply did this with no one helping it.

Drex moved back down the corridor that lead up to the cockpit and readjusted how his rifle was laying in his arms so he could better bring it to bare in case he did find something. Not but a few steps in to his little patrol but the Krogan began to sniff the air again. The burned bodies still lingered in the air and coated everything else, but to a Krogan the smell was only one in many floating through the air. In the confined space of the ship smells mingled together more but a powerful olfactory could split those mingles apart and identify them individually.

Drex could smell Miller, she was easy being a human female, the Quarian was a bit odd with that gear but then that suit was the scent. The body odor had become normal to the Krogan and so he did not take time to wonder about it, but he did smell something new in the air. Something familiar...like Miller...a human, but not a female. Drex brought his rifle up and began working his way slowly down the corridor. He did not need a flashlight or night vision for the dark spots thanks again to his species but his size would make him a quick target if he was spotted first. Part of him thought to call out the danger to Miller, but he knew that would just likely upset the Quarian even more. The scent was getting stronger and Drex's finger was getting closer to the trigger.

"I can smell you human, I don't think this is a fight either of us want. In these spaces we will both end up either dead or with scars were not happy with. If your still wanting to have it out at least make your way outside first. "

Fáelán didn't wait around for Kal to finish with the code, wanting to be off the ship as soon as possible. She'd already sent her code for transport and she needed to get going, find the cargo, and get the hell away from this ship before anyone clued in. Of course, just as she thought things were going well with having Drex lead the way, things got very, very complicated.

"I can smell you human, I don't think this is a fight either of us want. In these spaces we will both end up either dead or with scars we're not happy with. If your still wanting to have it out at least make your way outside first."

She winced, following after Drex. Making no attempt to hide her steps behind him so he did not think she was trying to surprise him, Fáelán raised her omni-tool and prepped her combat drones and whispered, "push him outside Drex, this is not a ship we want to be trapped on." Which was entirely true and did not require her to reveal additional reasons to support -- the charred bodies and malfunctioning ship were more than enough.

Docks, Docking Tube

Ramoja grimaced. One of the people moving around inside had heard him. Or seen him, although Ramoja wouldn't have been sure how. Judging by the timbre of his voice... Ramoja guessed he might be dealing with either a krogan or a batarian. Both were unlikely to be on the Citadel, but Ramoja couldn't take a krogan. His assault training would be for nothing against one of those.

CHARM: "You're trespassing on a human ship," Ramoja warned loudly from inside the ship's airlock. "And you're also speaking to a Systems Alliance Major. Do the math. If you caused me any serious harm, you would face many more repercussions than just suffering from your own injuries. Stand down. You don't want to do this."

Charm Failed

"Yeah I'm not impressed! All that means is I know where to send your head when I rip it from your body. Your outnumbered and out gunned Major, rules of engagement would recommend you pull back and seek better terrain I think. Because honestly if you shot me I'm just going to get mad."

Drex showed no signs of emotion in his words nor in his outward appearance. Unlike most Krogan who would be smiling at the chance to get into a fight that would favor them Drex was not a normal Krogan. For one he was not getting paid to fight he was getting paid to guard his employer. Plus there was a chance this guy knew what he was doing and fighting in this closed in space could be his death. More Krogan died because the underestimated their foe and overestimated their skill.

____________Docks.

Faelan grimaced and tensed, mouthing the word 'alliance' as a question with an expression of mixed disbelief and dismay fixed on her face. She was thankful for the darkness shrouding her from sight, though she was sure Drex could smell her, because it was all she could do to place a hand on the wall in order to steady her whirling thoughts. This situation was snowballing too quickly if the alliance had stepped in already... and no one had told her anything. What the hell is an alliance officer doing here?! She thought, still stunned.

Drex wasn't moving, though she was sure he heard her when she told him they needed to get off the ship, and Kal was sure to crack that code any second. When that happened, her chances of slipping away would be too difficult. Miller, you are not cut out for this job, she told herself, closing her eyes and willing the alliance office away... as if that would work.
