Still swaying back and forth and not in the rhythm of the swaying ship, Christof nodded slowly but enthusiastically. His eyes were half lidded as though still in a dream like state. Concussion? Perhaps. Blood loss? Unlikely. They were creatures of Fear, afterall. He fumbled with his own cola, tucking it under his arm to reach into the pocket of his shoulder bag of belongings for a small white card, offering it out to the doctor.

Hello, I am Christof. I like to help. it read.

After it had been properly handed off, he dug around for his syringe again, still with some of the sticky purple liquid in it, and after wrestling with the cap of his Cola bottle, he managed to refill it, poking the needle between his sealed lips to sip happily as though the syringe was little more than a juicebox. Ah, that was cooling. His head was still spinning, though. Hopefully the soda would help.

Groggily, his brows raised before pointing to Val's chest, as though asking his name in return. This was nice. What a nice trip. Nice people and fun activities and so far nothing had crashed into anything or attacked them. It was certainly an improvement over That Place That Must Not Be Named. AND he had found a book about ghouls! With pictures! The blood-stained hardback was quickly tucked into his bag for later.

Squinting off into the distance, Hyde begins to sway slightly. The naiad...gone?! The counselor began to shake slightly with rage, "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFfffffffffffffffffff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" It was all their fault they scared him away with their squealing and yelling and personality disorders. And now...and now...! He didn't ecven know where they were. And the sun! It was really hot! And the ship! It was really purple! And...oh jack. He really shouldn't have drunk the purple cruel-aid. Oh wow...everything was...

Wow.

Now that the naiad was gone, he was suddenly feeling a lot more concerned about being under the influence surrounded by teenagers and a...Dagger. No longer interested in steering the ship, Hyde stumbled down the stairs and made his way to one of the locked rooms. Ugh, he had to cure himself quickly or who knows what that 'Treater would get up to with his poor, vulnerable little guinea pigs.

Just as the boggart was about to take a hearty whiff of his concoction, Bul walked toward him from the side and Icky snerked. He was good at hiding when he wanted to be, it seemed. "I'unno, some brewin' thing," he shrugged, watching his fellow monster partake and begin to add his own ingredients. He hadn't taken any minipet classes either (In point of fact, he had yet to be in a single class but no one needed to know that) and the extent of his own knowledge was almost strictly reserved for Slime 'n Snails which he was a bit irritated weren't on the menu. Thankfully, he had brought his own jar full of various colored Snail slime which would be an excellent spread on just about any crap food the captainteacher decided to give them.

Suddenly, a terrible wail pierced across the boat and Icky promptly plugged his ears with the sharp points of his claws. Squinting with one eye held tightly shut, he scanned the deck to see Tess being assaulted by a lumbering patchwork, though he couldn't be sure if this was the patchwork he half stalked on groanspring simply because the shenanigans his responses and questions spoke of were incredibly amusing. However, Tess wouldn't stop screaming and before he was able to make a running tackle for the patchwork, a book flew through the air and whomped him on the head, ending the situation quite promptly. "Bloody patched up git can't keep it in 'is pants'n she ain't even got legs," he chortled sloppily through his teeth, giving his lengthy ears a quick twitch to right them.

In all of the commotion he nearly missed the water demon wave toward himself and Bul but when Hadiyya began walking towards them with a reaper in tow, he definitely took notice. Didn't even bother hiding where his eyes were roaming to on her tan skin and supple frame. Her words in greeting them were laced with a certain euphoria that caused the boggart to wonder what she might have been smoking but the excitement in seeing them was appreciated all the same. With a friendly demoness like Hadiyya around, the trip surely wouldn't be so bad even if their boat and captain were quite displeasing. However, the abrupt subject change to the reaper was one Icky cared little for and he only bobbed his head once in greeting to Johan before directing his attentions back to Hadiyya. "Can't rightly miss somethin' they're makin' us go on, I s'ppose, but things're lookin'... up," he grinned, rows of yellow piranha-like teeth jutting out at all angles as his dark eyes zoned in on the ghoul's exposed midriff.

Was it getting hot or was it just Hadiyya? ....No, wait, it actually was getting hotter. Icky scoffed, glancing around. The sun was out but it wasn't the familiar dull light of a jack-o-lantern shape, it was brighter, hotter and unhidden by clouds. It seemed like his brew would be taking a while to cook anyway (that and Cloak probably wouldn't want to share) and Bad Jack he was getting thirsty. He might as well take advantage of this moment to get into the demon ghoul's good graces and asked "Ye wan' a bottle'a water?" pointing over towards the ice and bottle filled kiddy pool while she and Johan had their brief discussion about touching and personal space. Of course, this also now obligated him to get something for everyone so once Bul and Johan either accepted or rejected and then issued their desired drinks, Icky trudged off to grab himself an Ebola-Cola. The name just sounded so appetizing.

"So," he muttered upon return and handing out the respective bottles, "Does anyone even know where we're goin'? I ain't heard'a Jack damn thing about where we're headed'r why." It was a rather frustrating situation to be forced to skip break to go on some zany boat adventure that even the staff seemed disappointed by and then not be told why or where the trip would be taking them.

Tess was gradually beginning to calm down after having flipped her lid. The purple haze, now no longer impeded by the ghoul's utter terror, seeped back into her mind and slowed things down for her to a comfortable and not-at-all-threatening pace. Enough for it to occur to her what in Jack's name she was partially wearing. With a mortified Eep, she fumbled to free herself from the peg-legs. It took her longer than she would have wanted before she finally managed to remove the "garment". Her nose wrinkled in visible distaste, directed more at the underwear (how in Jack's name did Christof expect this would even fit her) and less at the mop handle snapped in half. She was neither thinking (why bother? Everything was so slooooooowwwwwww) or looking (so. Purple.) when she threw the patchwork's well-meaning, if off-putting, solution to her lack of legs. If they hit someone, or something, well, oops!

She wiped her brow, and was thoroughly bewildered by the sheer amount of sweat that ended up on the back of her hand. While it occured to the winged vampire that her earlier intimate encounter with the ship's deck could have contributed to her disheveled state, it certainly felt like the sun was exceptionally hot. And somewhere in the back of her hazy mind, she heard her mother's voice nagging at her to put on her sunscream.

Dutifully, she went below deck to her hammock where she rummaged through her bag and brought out a large bottle of SunScream 5000. Applying a liberal coat on her exposed skin (and some of the more tender portions of her wings), it occurred to her that Yaya might want some too, what with her own lack of protective covering. Oh! And maybe even Sammy and Tybalt and Johan. But not Christof or Valandal (>C). Those two can go get a really nasty sunburn (or burst into flames) for all she cared!

Back onto the deck Tess flew, holding out the bottle as if it were an unholy relic of power. "Um, um, Hadiyya, would you like some sunscream?" She asked the djinn, before realizing the tanned ghoul was in a group and arriving too late to hear Icky's question. Oh, Jack, did Tess have enough for everyone? She might as well offer, right? "Uh, um, how about you guys?"

Never mind the loss in food, navigation, and steering! With Hyde out of sight and mind, student morale picks up greatly! (+5 hp!)

And now the so-called Teacher Bonus...

The purple cruel-aid is still in full effect! Please do enjoy the purple, the hallucinations, the purple hallucinations, and do avoid trying to walk on water! Hyde's still in his cabin, though, so someone might want take over the steering...

Christof wobbled, watching and waiting for Val's response, but something up on the upper deck over the undead doctor's shoulder caught his attention. Shouldn't that wheely-steering-thing have someone behind it? Where had the Professor gone?

Blearily, he glanced over his hunch to where the other students and Trick or Treater were still merrily brewing something... and... and something was shimmering in the air, purple teeth and lavender tentacles and violet eyes all swarming to come to knock the ship into oblivion!!! Or was it a cloud? Needless to say, the Igor gave a panicked noise in his throat, ripping off his sweat-soaked shirt to bear his red and black Demon-Marked skin, slamming his floppy hat back on his head (Ow, he'd have to tend to those loose stitches later) and ran for it.

Bravely and frantically he gripped the wheel, spinning it sharply away from the hallucinated terror with a look of determination. He'd save them! He'd save them all!!

"Nein, I do not." Johan affirmed as he moved his elbow farther away from her questing fingers. Haddiya's attentiveness made Johan quite nervous. He couldn't tell if she was attempting to trick him into some sort of demon's bargain, or if she was sincere in her questions. Regardless, his answer to her query was the same. As he looked back up at her, he started when he realized she's sprouted two more heads.

"Vhy does not concern you, und vhy should it matter?" he said, coldly, attempting to figure out which pair of her eyes he should meet. "If someone says zey do not like to be touched, it iz only polite not to touch them."

Underneath the full glare of the sun, Johan was becoming uncomfortably hot. With a sudden mind to his own susceptibility to sunburn, the pale sorcerer decided it was time to head below-decks. He hadn't even had a chance to properly stow away his belongings, after all. He also very much wanted a reason to get away from the touchy demoness. Declining Icky's offer to get a drink, Johan made a bee-line for the hatch. He had just made it into the boil's section of hammocks when the ship suddenly leaned drastically to one side. Johan yelped as he lost his balance and fell into one of the hammocks. What was going on up there?

The very idea that touch was an unfavorable thing, something to be avoided, had the demoness gaping at the blonde reaper in disbelief. It was so outside her realm, so totally foreign, that she simply didn't know what to do. There was a small part of her heavily influenced by a certain avarice demon left in her a curious, stubborn fascination. A need to push until the boil before her either broke or bent, but such emotions and drives didn't rule her, and she resisted. Helped by the simple logic that it would be impolite. Hadiyya was nothing if not polite.

Frowning, she let her hand fall from where it had hovered near his treating elbow, dark fingers roaming back until she could grip the edge of the table. "It matters." Her voice was sullen, but he'd already turned to walk away, and she was left to stare at his retreating back as he went below deck.

Still, there was something about him, perhaps that magic, that made it impossible for the djinn to simply forget. She'd find him later, and then.. She wasn't sure. For now though, there were other things to attend to, and it was too blissful a day to let the reaper's attitude bring her down. Shoulders rolling, she pursed dark lips as she turned to regard the boggart. She had, in her discussion with Johan, missed his initial response to her question, but his kind offer to get her a bottle of water earned him a half lidded little smile. "Some water would be lovely, thank you." If it was her good graces he was after then he had certainly made a good head start.

As he wandered off to fetch said drinks Yaya held a hand up to her eyes and glanced up. Though edged in purple, the sun was bright and beat down on them in a way very similar to how it did back home in the desert. Unlike her shipmates the ghoul was accustomed to this sort of weather, and beyond that she'd actually managed to dress accordingly. When Tess approached her to offer the use of her sunscream she politely declined. "That's very kind of you, but I don't need it." And now that things had calmed a little. "Are you alright?" Chris could get very carried away..

Moving a few ingredients aside, the marid gave a little jump so she could perch on the edge of the table, one long, dark leg coming up to cross over the other. Bare foot waving up and down in lazy bobs. When icky returned with the water she took it happily, grinning up at the boggart with obvious appreciation. "You're just too sweet, thank you." It was so cool and crisp. She downed a good third of it before replacing the cap.

"Oh, no." Blue eyes blinked at his question as she took a moment to really think about it. "Not at all. They didn't tell us what was going on the last time either." And look how that turned out? She hoped things went better this time around. They'd had such a fun start already.

And then the boat beneath them decided to lurch rather suddenly, and slow as her motor skills wear under the effects of the cruel-aid, the djinn toppled over easily. Barely catching herself against the boggart's chest to avid hitting the deck altogether.

It just figured that the day that Siddie managed to get over her seasickness enough to venture up on deck would be a day with sunlight. She huddled under her parasol and inched across the swaying deck to get one of the bottles of Fright - hydration was a good way to avoid total evaporation, she remembered.

Concentrating on making her way across the hazardously bright deck and not throwing up, she barely noticed anyone around her, nor the various knots of commotion that ebbed and flowed across the boat. But she couldn't have avoided noticing that something was wrong when the whole boat lurched to the side. She lost her footing and grabbed for the nearest person, struggling to stay upright and under her little patch of shade.

The hunchback at the wheel trembled as he scanned the horizon frantically... was it his Mistress still angry at him and come to finally play out her wraith? His heart threatened to bust through his chest seams. No... no... whatever it was seemed to be gone now...

The boat continued on in one direction for a while peacefully. Whether or not this was the correct direction remained to be seen.

He sagged between two of the handles of the helm, catching his breath a moment before a flickering on the horizon made him tense once more... great, purple flapping bats, rippling against the sky like a mirage but Christof had seen a lot of strange things in his days out of the castle- ghouls with no legs that seemed happy about it for some reason, horrible fire breathing monstrosities erupting from a snowy mountainside, and even explored the deep recesses of a ghoul's mouth. Shimmering, flickering, swarming creatures rushing towards them was not something that surprised the Igor very much- They were almost beautiful, fluttering in slow motion for a short while...

What? No. We can't stop here. This is bat country.

He gave the wheel a sharp turn in the opposite direction, and promptly became mesmerized by the exciting way it spun. It wasn't until he was knocked off of his feet he managed to reach up and stop it, if only for support.

Maritess looked a little deflated that Yaya had no need of the sunscream. The other students didn't seem all too interested in her offer either, which meant it was better if Tess put away the bottle. More for her, then! At the djinn's question Tess looked up, halfway through capping the bottle, "O-oh, yes, I think." Gingerly she tested her wings, changing the strength with which she flapped and gently prodding the membrane and skeleton. They felt sore from the patchwork's rough-handling of them, but she could manage to fly on her own.

She was so engrossed in her inspection, she nearly missed the boat's sharp lurch. Unlike the other students grounded on the boat, Tess was hovering and was mostly unaffected. Purple-tinted sights had her tilting her head in confusion. Why was everything moving in a direction they weren't supposed to? That is, until she felt someone grab her arm.

Crimson eyes widened, Oh Jack was Christof back!? Was he planning to finish what he started?! Even as her beating wings managed to keep her upright, it doesn't occur to Tess that whoever had grabbed her was certainly not as heavy as the patchwork. Only when she turned towards her "assailant" did she realize it was another ghoul. Siddie to be exact, the singer from the band Triple S if she remembered correctly. The very same band Sammy was in!?!? "DON'T HURT ME!" she screamed, arms rising up to protect the lower half of her face, her jaw in particular. Yes, Tess was prone to melodrama, she'll apologize for her overreaction eventually, but at that moment, she had other things on her mind.

Climbing the stairs to make sure Dagger hadn't found out about the eyescream cake and plotted a mutiny while he was away, Hyde was just in time to see Icky go flying off the ship toward the horizon. The sight brought a rather fond smile to the doctor's face. Ahhhh...he had forgotten about that feature. Before the rest of the kids got all worked, he held up a hand, "Just leave him for a bit, may freshen him up to only slightly nauseating."

The smile lasted only a moment, "This ship has more pressing concerns...we're out of food."

He paused as he heard a loud splash as the boggart hit the water. For a moment it looked like he was really just going to ignore one of the students in his charge, but then finally he sighed, rolled his eyes, and went to throw a bottle of a vitamin C at the boil with an encouraging, "Challenges are what make life interesting!" Before turning back to business, "Anyways, you guys need to restock."
