"Any can be taught how to perfect such abilities." He replied smoothly. He truly enjoyed the elf, in both company and conversing. She was a breath of fresh air to his normally uninteresting life. "Mayhap you will stay with Brise and I for a while." He worded it carefully, keeping his tone soft, quiet. He liked her name, "Anastasia, a truly beautiful name, for a beautiful woman." He commented quietly, more to himself than to anyone in particular. Though he was hoping Ana heard him.
Brise smiled over to Ana, wanting to laugh. If not for everyone present, she would have smacked a male and went off to chat with her for awhile. It was nice having female company for a change.

Nicholas smiled proudly at Maverik's comment. "Of course! It's because I'm the best at it!" he boasted. The mischief that shone in his eyes never left him. Different ideas came flooding into his mind after hearing Brise tell him she has never been startled before. It was the same for Anastasia as well. It would not be the first time he has seen a woman holding back from smacking him; Nicholas always tries and provoke people to act on what they want rather than holding back. At the same time, it was merely because their expressions of surprise, anger, embarrassment, and other similarities were humorous. But, Nicholas would have to wait for the right moment again. Acting on one of his tricks now would, no doubt, be a failure since they may have been on their guards. "Anatasia. Heeeh. Your name resembles a wild cherry tree because even after death, they grow back equally beautiful. Don't you agree, Mister Statue?" he teased Maverik.

"You think so?" Ana inquired with grin. "Would you be willing to teach me then?" Her smile brightened, eyes lighting up when Maverik suggested she join them. "I would love too!" She said enthusiastically. Her blush deepened at his comment about her name. "You are quite handsome yourself Maverik." Truthfully Ana had always thought her name was too long, too fancy, but maybe it wasn't so bad. She liked his name as well it was strong, unique.
Ana smiled back at Brise. She truly enjoyed the girl's company and Maverik's as well.

Maverik nodded, a smile playing at the corner of his lips. A small dimple started to poke through until he remembered it and stopped. He was embarrassed about his dimple, despite what Brise had said about it making him more approachable to females. He returned his attentions to Nicholas. "I am not a statue, young man." He bit out, looking down at the fay.
"Do not think you are the best, Nicholas. Maverik has trained long and hard, and I have yet to come across someone that could show him up for very long. He is merely out of practice." Brise teased, a smile tilting her lips. She wanted to laugh at the way Maverik and Ana were acting, but kept herself restrained. It would only make Maverik sore at her later. She noticed his dimple poke at the surface of his skin, glad someone was able to bring out the better part of him other than her when she tried very hard.

Nicholas flew closer to the ground in order to make some of the left over leaves jump up if ever so slightly. He was grinning from ear to ear as he responded. "I don't think; I know! I've never had to practice at all!" he laughed. Nicholas flew next to Maverik, both hands on hips, staring at the same height as him. "You're right. You are, as Anastasia stated, a 'handsome' statue. And if you weren't a statue, then ya wouldn't have stood there so quietly earlier! You're so stiff," Nicholas whacked lightly against Maverik's armor, "and it's not the armor I'm talking about!" He "jumped back" before flying close to Maverik's ear in a whisper. "I bet Anastasia would've loved to see you smile, hm?" Laughing playfully, he rolled around in the air as if it were the ground. Nicholas crossed his arms before he glided next to Anastasia. "Did you know? Rumors have it that the statues in Fay Paradise sometimes comes to life. Specifically some of them, anyway. They become more lively because of a special k-i-s-s," he teased like a child would.

Nicholas' teasing had Brise giggling. She had never heard anyone speak to her guardian in such a way before, less lone get away with it. "You are quite something, Nicholas. But I would be weary of Maverik if I were you. Maybe I should test your wind abilities before Maverik decides he's had enough." Her eyes gained a glint, the darker part of her being eager to "play".
Maverik sensed the change, a deep throaty chuckle escaping him. "Aye, that might be a good idea. Surely young Nicholas would be willing for a small bout." It had been a long time since they had fought, or even practiced against another. Granted, he had trained Brise when he discovered her wind abilities, but after leaving the elves, they had not practiced against another being. There was only so long you could train with the same person before you learned their every move. "Ana, watch Brise carefully, then you shall see what you will learn under my training." Maverik let his words slide across the air slowly, a light smirk tilting one corner of his mouth. He had been a great warrior in his time, all who trained under him knew he was ruthless when angered, yet kind while teaching. None of his students died easily, taking many with them to their graves.

Ana thought she saw a dimple when Maverik began to smile, she wasn't completely sure though. Only one way to find out. The elf thought to herself, she'd have to make him smile again. It couldn't be that hard right?
Ana ignored Nicholas' comment, she was nearly ready to smack him though. She nodded when Maverik spoke, her gaze shifting from him to watch Brise and Nicholas. She was curious to see what Maverik would teach her.

Nicholas was slightly disappointed that neither Maverik nor Anastasia reacted to his playful banter in anyway. He sat cross-legged in the air, arms crossed, as he floated away from them a few feet. "Boring," he muttered under his breath. Nicholas saw the gleam in Brise's eyes and could not help but smirk at her playfulness. Unfortunately, Nicholas does not fight unnecessarily. He held his hand up in front of him with a grin. "A 'small bout,'" he mimicked Maverik, "is not something I usually do. Sorry to disappoint you!" he laughed. "Why don't you two just skip to the training? The faster that starts, I'm sure it might be a little more than just student and teacher." He placed his hands back behind his hand with a laugh.

Brise pouted, she was looking forward to seeing how well she did against others. She was truly disappointed. "Very well, I understand." She replied, saddened but eager to practice with Ana. It had been far too long since she had trained with an elf.
Maverik bristled slightly at the remark, but kept stoic. It would not do to say anything to the boy. He seemed to feed off it anyhow. "Well, since Nicholas is not in the mood for such an activity, I suggest we go somewhere we can train. I think we passed a training grounds on our way here, did we not, Brise?" He asked, turning his gaze to his charge. He would wait for Ana to answer him though, before heading out of the forest. She was his newest student after all. The thought made him stand like a warrior prime for battle. It had been far too long since he had trained more than one being at a time.
Brise nodded, trying to retrace her steps to where she thought the training grounds might be. They might have to look, but it shouldn't be that hard. At least that is what she thought.

"Don't you have anything better to do?"Ana questioned, glaring at Nicholas. Honestly, it was as though he lived to annoy people, or her at least.
"Fine with me" Ana said with shrug. She wondered what training grounds Maverik was talking about. The elf couldn't remember passing any, but then again they had come from different directions.

"Right! Its that way!" Brise chirped, finally remembering where she sensed past battles. It was easy enough to sense out, but it felt different from usual training grounds.
Maverik chuckled at her, she was still like a child. "Shall we?" He asked, offering his arm to Ana. He knew they both would have to reveal themselves, but he would cherish these few moments when he was looked at as "normal". It was far and few between when someone looked at him as just another person.

A smile formed on the elf's lips as she watched Brise.
"Lead the way." Ana linked her arm with Maverik's once more, hand resting on his forearm. "What will we be doing first?" She questioned as they started off, voice full of curiosity.

"Hehe, Maverik will test how powerful you are first, huh, Mavy?" Brise teased, grabbing his other hand. She was tired, having not slept in days. But she could last another few days.
Maverik chose to ignore the nickname, despite his strong dislike to it. It was just so, childish. "Aye, I'll test your abilities. I will strengthen your strong suits, and help you improve your weak points. Every one of us have them, but how weak depends on training. After I see where you stand, I'll have you go through some exercises with Brise." He was in warrior mode, all his years of being alive surging through him at the thought of using his muscles again. His form had been restored to how he was the day he died, gathering energy and everything in the air he could to return to his once former glory. Only one scar remained, a nasty slash going from his heart to his gut. The killing blow. One both of the females would see before their training was complete.
"Maverik, you're getting dark again." Brise chided, poking him back into this world.
A light red caught his cheeks before he regained himself. He stayed quiet until they were out of the forest, heading toward the training grounds.

Their intent on training and battling greatly bored Nicholas. If it was not a fight pitied against each other because of a ridiculous reason, then it would not in any way entertain him. Nicholas was neither blood-lust, nor did he take pleasure in passing the time through fighting. He drew in a breath and sighed a long, deep sigh as if tired. It was fun while it lasted, but he would have to look for fun elsewhere now. I'll be sure to keep in mind of trying anything new if I see them again. he smirked to himself. Most of their comments to each other passed through his head as he looked about in the sky, childish eyes deciding which direction to take next. Nicholas flew higher into the air before he floated above the trees, watching the three new people he met leave. He inhaled deeply before yelling through his hands. "I'll be sure to meet you again, Brise, Anastasia, Statue! The best meeting is the one unexpected!" he grinned and gave a laugh before deciding to fly back home to his kingdom.
