This was a piece that was unfortunately slightly rotated by the scanner. To my great annoyance. It seems the scanner decides to automatically crop (and sometimes even rotate) the image scanned, quite often, and I'm not sure why I didn't correct this one at that time but it holds up much better rotated.

That's a nice piece of art and rotating thing, i know that happen with my scanner time to time, so that's why i "cut" off the paper that's not part of the drawing and put in my scanner may work but depends on how big is the drawing. But other than that still nice drawing.

Matasoga Lunchbox Material The Digitally Colored Art:: The Shadows And Highlights Are Too Sharp For The Image. The Lining Is Too. Did You Do Everything In One Single Layer? Its A Good Piece But I Am Able To Notice A Lot Of Faults On This One. Of course it's not all on one layer. The line art is on one layer and much of the colors on another. I'd have to go back and check. I like the high contrast highlights, and sharp shadows. It was a stylistic choice and I stand by it. Ah! I See, When I Do Such Things I Prefer To Smooth Everything Out. Its A Habit, And I Like A Smoother Style In Digital Art.

I suppose that I'd better get this one up before midnight. This was a simple memorial sketch of a cat that I did for my biological mother, after the death of her cat. It was a simple little thing done with some toned greyscale manga markers and then touched a bit with a white charcoal/colored pencil. It looks so much sketchier and unfinished after being scanned...

Matasoga As far as signatures go, I do usually try to include them, but what do you mean "Hard way"? They're typically included the bottom right corner, but cropping them off is really easy, but these days, digital editing makes it even easier still to get rid of things like that, without even having to crop. All one can really do, if they want to retain claim to their artwork is hope that their style speaks for itself. In other words, even if you had signed it, if they really wanted it, they'd have still found a way to claim it as their own. I hope you'll stick around and keep watching. I add another new picture every day. As far as protection of your work goes, the best way I've heard of is watermarking (that is, putting it into a word doc & putting a watermark on that only you could get rid of). I'm not sure if there is any way around that as of the moment...

(talkin bout the snake tail dude) He looks really good. I love how you use a combo of color-changing and the lines for shading, it gives a very interesting look. Lolz whenever I try to do the lines for shading they look demented.... sweatdrop

Roxy Hazard As far as protection of your work goes, the best way I've heard of is watermarking (that is, putting it into a word doc & putting a watermark on that only you could get rid of). I'm not sure if there is any way around that as of the moment... Deviant art will do that for you, but I usually decline, so that my art can be viewed without it. The way I see it is this: If someone has the know-how needed to convincingly and seamlessly remove a watermark, then they probably don't need to steal work in the first place, which is a nod in support of them existing as a means of protection, I suppose. That said, this is just Gaia... And a guild at that. Sure it's a big one, but let's look at the risks. Will my art be ripped off for some seriously high-powered deals that are going on in the business world? I'd estimate the risks to be less that a percentage of a percent. Might my art get ripped off to be dropped in a shitty RP by twits not inventive enough to create their own? That's fairly possible, but that's beneath my notice. Such RPs tend to collapse under the weight of their own failure rather quickly, so I'm not too fussed about that. Roxy Hazard (talkin bout the snake tail dude) He looks really good. I love how you use a combo of color-changing and the lines for shading, it gives a very interesting look. Lolz whenever I try to do the lines for shading they look demented.... sweatdrop It requires a light touch and a deft hand, but with enough practice you should be able to manage it.

Looks like I missed midnight, but that's what I get for putting things off. Here's a political cartoon that I drew a semester of two ago. I should probably let it speak for itself, but despite a few deep disagreements that I have with Mr Obama, I like how he's running the country, though at one point I felt that he was trying to take on too many very delicate and complicated things at once. This was how I chose to represent that for the political cartoon that I was assigned to draw. On a purely artistic note, the hands should have been worked and something unpleasant happened to the jawline while I was inking. I also wanted to have him on a tightrope, with republican alligator/elephant hybrids on either side waiting for him to screw up so that they could tear him apart, but you know... Deadlines.

Well that's the president for you juggling things to make the people of the US content to a standard, without overstepping his boundaries unlike Teddy Roosevelt. But still other than that, i think the president is the hardest, deadliest, and time consuming job that any american will ever endure.

That's why The Onion had the headline it did when he was elected. "Black Man Given Worst Job in America." I love The Onion. New picture coming soon.

The tilt is for the usual reason. This is a little bat that I drew for a children's book that I was assigned to create as a school project. I don't believe that I ever fully completed it, but this illustration came out well enough to post.

I hadn't clicked "View Image" yet and had just posted it as an IMG version of a link to the page. It looks like it's posting an enlarged version of all of my pictures, which is a shame. There's never been a picture that was enhanced for being blown up.
