"What do you mean by that, princess? Fallen?" The prince's brow creased and raised at the odd phrase the woman used. "Are you alright princess? Did you get hurt?" The concern was sincere and it was clear that Victor didn't understand what she meant.

"Well then, what do you mean by stating that you have fallen for me? How is that any justification for me to accompany you to your chamber?" The questions forced from Victor's lips with a desperation stirring deep within not understanding the princess' declaration in the slightest though the daze in the woman's eyes struck fear into him rather than concern.

"Princess, you mustn't speak this way to me." A nervousness stirred in Victor's tone and the prince backed from he fountain only to trip over a protruding cobblestone and fall onto the garden floor. "Princess. You should return to your chambers. It's far to deep into the night for you to roam the castle so freely."

The princess has walked from the garden with a stiff, zombie-like walk causing Victor to slightly tremble in concern and fear. The prince stood to his feet and dusted his pants off before noticing the man crouched behind a rose bush in the distance. Slow footsteps carried Victor to the man and the prince yanked the young wizard from his hiding. A brief exchange occurred along with mincing smiles and suggestive statements before Vick returned to his chambers alone leaving the wizard to return to his cottage in the woods.

A gasp shuttered from the prince's throat hearing the princess shout from across the hall. The man jumped from bed and pulled on his slacks before rushing into The princess' chamber with his rapier drawn. The man's hand clutched over his bare chest and his feet twirled him in a survey of the room before Victor attended to the blood soaked woman. "Princess, what happened? Are you hurt?"

"Showers?" The term baffled the prince and the man remained a foot distance from the princess not wanting to overstep his bounds. "I'll call for your servants to take you to bathe." The man backed slowly to the door still slightly puzzled by the princess' words and the events leading to the blood spill. "Chambermaid!" The prince's voice carried through the stone hall and the man slowly lowered his sword realizing they were alone in the room.

"Bathes herself?" The prince once again was stunned by the female's words and the sounds of running water startled him even more. "She must enjoy cold baths." The reasoning seemed fit enough and Victor stepped out into the hall only to bump into the chambermaid. "The princess awoke startled by bloody sheets. She has stepped into a cold bath, possibly to frightened to call for warmed water from the fire." The man explained himself and the reason he had stepped half clothed from the princess' room. Once the woman nodded, Vick walked back to his chambers and prepared himself in a more formal dress.
