It was hard work not smirking as Lucy knocked things about the place, and hard not to be pleased that she was saying something on his behalf too. Maybe she just wanted to get out of here faster, in fact that was probably so, but her slap down to the stupid little piece of arse cashier still amused him.
"Next time take a picture," Aulus said in a bass growl as he took his bag of clothes, "it'll last longer than any memory in your vapid little head, and stop chewing that gum while you're at it; it makes you look like a miltank." Before the bint could say anything else he turned, 'accidentally' kicked one of the plastic display things with a heavily booted foot, and stalked after Lucy... Slightly limped after Lucy. Only a slightly, partly because the pain was still easing off, and partly because he really didn't want to limp in front of Blondie and as such was doing everything in his power to hide it. What had she been thinking, he wondered? Probably just wondering what it was he was going to murder her with. Stupid little wench.
"Well," he muttered to Lucy once they were out of the store, his voice positively dripping with sarcasmm "that was charming, wasn't it? That girl certainly gives me hope for humanity as a whole." At least now, however, he could go and change into non wet, non chocolaty clothes. Fortunately he could also attack the stupid skull patch thanks to the penknife in his pocket; had he been without it he probably would have resorted to using his teeth.

At his comments, the pitiful cashier nearly choked on her gum.
Once out of the store, Claire's expression brightened considerably. "Oh, doesn't it? We'll be set if everyone turns out just like that. I mean, just imagine - stand with your back to the door and everyone else could grab whatever they wanted and run, and nobody would ever notice." Seriously, had no one ever told that girl not to stare? Honestly. Some people...
Thankfully it wasn't long before they came upon another set of restrooms, and with a delighted 'ooh' Lucy quickly slipped through the door labeled specifically for her gender so she could change. She wanted out of these clothes as soon as possible. Not that she was anywhere nearly as bad as he was, with his damp shirt and pants, but still. Smelling of chocolate was definitely not one of her favorite things.

Aulus gave a harrumph of agreement, but didn't have time to say more as they happened across the restrooms. Sweeping into the men's like a rather damp herald of the apocalypse (and making a few men at urinals jump out of their skins in the process) he claimed a stall and set about doctoring his trousers. Once the stupid skull patch was removed from them and the labels were gone from both items he swapped shirts, and then trousers, perching on the closed lid of the toiled so as not to put his feet on the floor when he had to take off his boots. Now attired in dry, non smelly clothes that weren't as terrible as they might be, Aulus stuffed his other clothes into the bag and headed back outside to wait for Lucy...
Why was he waiting for her?
Well, he supposed he ought to at least say goodbye, and maybe they could share a few more nasty words about the cashier with her. Sometimes even he wanted a bit of human company, just for a little while. So long as he remembered not to let his guard down too much it would be fine. Nothing for him to get worried about. It wasn't like he had to ever see her again after today; he could decide to leave the region and never return if he wanted. He could do anything he pleased. There was no need for over analysing a few minutes spent snarking about somebody he despised with somebody he was merely suspicious of.

Thankfully Claire didn't have to do anything to her new clothes to make them more presentable, but she couldn't help but stop in front of the row of mirrors to make sure it didn't look too bad. She exited the restroom a few moments after Aulus, but she stopped and looked down, still holding the door. Her Pikachu dashed out after a few more seconds and ran around her in a circle. She tried to turn around and see what the heck he was trying to do, but he continued running. After she turned in a full circle she stopped with her hands on her hips and stared at the upper portion of the wall with an exasperated look on her face.
Violet eyes suddenly shot down to look into bright green ones, as Zeus grinned at her from around one arm. He waved up towards her shoulder, and she immediately shook her head and grabbed him by the scruff to place him on the floor. "Oh no you don't," she said, dropping him gently onto the tiling, "not in this shirt." She had been right before - the neckline of the white blouse rested just around the edges of her shoulders, billowing out into wide-ended sleeves and flowing down to end right below her waist. A thin, white string curved its way around below her ribcage with the aid of a few hardly noticeable loops of fabric to draw the blouse in slightly around her middle. Not that she'd tied it beyond a loose half-knot, of course. She didn't need to accentuate any curves she may or may not have in front of strangers. Speaking of which, she also would not have a fat pokemon on her shoulder to push down the shirt from her shoulders. No thank you.
Zeus pouted momentarily before bolting off again, coming to a screeching halt by Aulus. Said screeching halt was more of a squeaking halt as he slid across the tiles, trying (and failing) to get enough traction to stop but only succeeded in slipping over onto his back.
"Not very graceful, is he?" Asked his trainer as she walked up next to Aulus, looking down at the pathetic Pikachu with a mixture of disdain and exasperation. There might also have been some affection tossed in there too, but if asked about it she would wholeheartedly deny it.

Well, he supposed her new outfit was alright. Pretty nice, well, pretty nice on her anyway. Don't stare, no asset starting; he didn't want her to know that maybe he thought she looked attractive in this outfit, it was probably what she wanted, maybe she'd set the whole thing up... Now that really was going into paranoid territory; she couldn't have predicted his every move perfectly to bring them to this point. Anyway, look at the pikachu, not the new shirt and its contents.
"Not very," Aulus grunted as Zeus slid to a halt by his boots, "I hope you're not planning to enter him in any sporting events... Unless there's chocolate at the finish line; that'd get him going." Daft little beast, but he couldn't help feeling fond of the electric type all the same; he was open and genuine, even if all he seemed to genuinely want out of life was chocolate and the occasional stroke. Not that it mattered what he thought though, he'd probably never see the silly rat again... He should go now in fact; he'd hung around for far too long.
"I wasn't planning to be here so long," Aulus said bluntly after a moment, "and I left my pokemon with my bike to watch it. I don't see any chocolate Zeus can dive into around here, so I guess you don't need me for anything else?" If she tried to make him linger he'd be really suspicious.

While Zeus was open and genuine about his intentions and chocolatey desires, Claire was secretive and guarded. Even with everyone on the base - there was only one person who she'd told her real name and history to. No one else had a clue that her real name was other than Claire. It was related, of course - every letter in the name 'Claire' was also in her real name, but that didn't matter. At his mention of entering Zeus in sporting events, she couldn't help the light chuckle that escaped her. "No, definitely no competitions of any sort. If chocolate wasn't involved he'd fail miserably." Beyond miserably, actually.
The Pikachu in question snorted as they spoke about him, and he hoisted himself up with some semblance of dignity and dusted himself off, then turned away from them both and folded his arms over his chubby stomach, flicking his ears back and turning his nose up. There was something vaguely amusing about a one-foot-tall pokemon turning his nose up at two humans who were five to six times his height.
Claire's eyebrows rose when Aulus asked if she needed him for anything else - she didn't recall ever saying she needed him for anything at all in the first place, except to replace his clothes. And a bike? Why would he... oh. Not a bicycle. A motorcycle? That was vaguely.. no, no - they were dangerous and ridiculous things, and the only attractive thing about them was their gas mileage. "I wasn't either. And I don't think so, no," she added in response to his question. "I'm a tough girl, I can handle myself." What her bare hands, balisong and pocket knife couldn't take care of, her pokemon more than likely could. Hmm, maybe she should ask Lucas to make her a gun, too...
Lightly shaking her head to rid it of distracting thoughts, she knelt down to pick Zeus up around the middle before turning to Aulus again. "It was nice meeting you," she said honestly. It'd made her day much more interesting than it otherwise would've been, although probably slightly more expensive than she'd originally intended. But then she wouldn't have gotten new clothes.. "See you around." Not very likely that she would, but it was a more positive farewell than just saying 'bye.' She vaguely remembered saying something very similar to Luke when it was blatantly and painfully obvious she never would see him again. No time for such thoughts, though, so if Aulus had nothing more to say after that, she would turn and walk off towards another part of the mall, a pleased Pikachu in her arms.

"Hu. Perhaps." He wouldn't actually run in the opposite direction if he saw her again - partially because that would make him look stupid - but he wasn't exactly going to hang around hoping to bump into her by the chocolate shop either. He did, however, watch her walk away for a few moments; might as well make the most of a nice view after all.
Before long, however, he turned in the opposite direction and set off. He could have walked the same way as her to get to the car park, that was the way he'd come from, but it was signposted this way too and he didn't want to have that awkward situation where you'd said goodbye or whatever and then found yourself stuck in the other person's company for a bit longer.
By the time he arrived back where he'd parked Tortie was clearly bored, and let him know that she wasn't pleased with him for a) leaving her there so long and b) coming back smelling of another pokemon by way of a low growl. It only took a smile ruffle of the fur on her head to appease her though, and a few moments later the roar of an engine could be heard as the pair whooshed out of the car park. Where he was heading next Aulus hadn't quite decided yet, but there was no rush to decide that; for now he would just enjoy driving, and not reeking of chocolate.
