Anthony frowned. "Well sure it can, you just have to think outside of the box." He smiled a bit, trying to think positivly. "Like you could help out building. There are times in order to build places they have to break donw rocks or stuff, I bet it'd be super helpful then."

She frowned, unsure if she should just come back later or not.

Anthony frowned again and shook his head. "No, I might not know the people of the circus very well but I know they wouldn't say that. And that was just an example, I'm sure there could be many other things it could be usefully for."

Anthony frowned more, confused. "Because I'm a nice person and you're new here? And I know what it feels like to feel on the outside?" He said, his head tilting to the side a bit.

He was confusing both her brain and her beliefs. She didn't like the feelings that he made her feel; she didn't understand them. Why was he a nice person? She didn't think she deserved his niceness. She stared at the ground for a while unsure of what to say. She backed a few more steps away from him. "I don't understand why..." she said quietly. She was unsure if he heard her or not.

Anthony chuckled a bit. "Would you prefer me to be mean to you? . . . " He thought a moment. "I don't think I could if I tried. It's against my nature. But if you really want I can give it a go." He chuckled again, leaning against a nearb tree.

For some reason, she felt kind of nervous when he chuckled. Once again that feeling baffled her. She thought maybe he had just tricked her or something.

"Even if I get a job here, that doesn't mean I'll see you all the time."

Anthony chuckled. "I'll put in a good word for you. The circus is pretty accepting." He frowned a bit though, as she continued. He raised his hands in deffense. "I didn't mean to upset you. I'm just saying. . . the circus is a tight knit family. Even the people who aren't really social with patrons chat it up with other performers."

The word family.. she had never really understood it that much. She had never really seen her birth family and her foster family ignored her. Maybe this would be a good change for her. While these thoughts buzzed throughout her head, she dropped her guard. "Is it nice to have a family like this?" she asked.

She had always heard what a good family was, but the fact that she had never had one made it hard to believe that they existed. 'Belonging somewhere...?' she thought. It had been years since she belonged. She looked at Anthony, searching for any trace of him lying but found none. Once again, confusion arose. 'Why isn't he lying? I thought he was a gypsy...' she thought.
"W-well, I don't need to belong," she said stubbornly. She turned away from him so he could not see that she was blushing because of the stupid stutter. Why did she keep stuttering around him? And why did he make her feel nervous?
