Sin should have been flattered really, the small bid war going on for her was a stroke to her ego. Except that she didn't want either of those boils bidding on her! Her friend Arachne had a thing for Rosc, and he seemed oblivious to it! As for Christof he was taking Morrigan to the dance! Morrigan was her friend and if the other ghoul had been here she'd probably be livid to see her date bidding on another ghoul. Then the bids kept rising and she stood there eyeing the two and then looking at the crowd. Would no one save her from this insanity?
Her eyes narrowed on Arachne as she saw her slip Christof a bag, oh no...Arachne what are you doing?! Except Sin knew exactly what she was doing, she knew how much her friend felt for Rosc. Okay so that was forgivable, but Christof ought to know better then to bid on her when he had a date!
She glared at the patchwork a moment, she was not going to share a date! Her beautiful dress was going to be a complete waste at this point unless a proper dateless boil decided to give it a go. Where was Morrigan when she needed her anyway?

Moving away from the rest of the crowd with Natalia, Ren let out a low laugh, shaking his head. "Your humility is one of your finest attributes as well, darling," he said, then smirked at her as he raised a finger playfully to his lips, as if sharing a secret. "Ah, well, what can I say? I am quite the catch."
Tossing the werelemur a teasing wink, he glanced around the crowd. He wasn't ever bothered by Natalia's confidence in herself; it may have been borderline arrogance, but only the werelemur could have pulled it off and he had no issues, nor problems with the way she acted.
He was about to ask her another question, but was momentarily distracted when she stopped abruptly, pushing against him. Ren's eyes widened. "Woah, woah, woah," he said, raising his hands in a vague gesture of defense. The werelemur's face was even whiter than normal, her expression frozen in one of mixed shock, anger, and something else that Ren could not quite read. "Hold on just a moment, Natalia. I didn't mean anything by it."
Perhaps this wasn't the best place for this, right in the center of everything, where people could see. Ren glanced around, taking ahold of Natalia's arm and tugging her off to the side, away from the prying eyes of the rest of the students. That smile on Natalia's face wasn't normal; it was almost feral, nearly panicked.
"Now," he said, once they were out of earshot. "I wasn't trying to insinuate anything, Natalia; don't snap at me, okay? I'm your friend; a good friend, and I'm here to support you, not make you angry at me."
His arms folded across his chest, looking vaguely awkward as he shifted from one foot to the other. There was the barest tinge of pink to his cheeks, hardly visible, but he felt somewhat uncertain of himself. He was used to Natalia's personality by now, but the way she was looking at him was making him antsy.
"Look, Natalia," he said quietly. "I honestly wasn't trying to ruffle your feathers. And it's not visible to anyone who doesn't know you as well as I do, but I do know you, and I can see it in your eyes that you, at the very least, are a tiny bit interested in the hellhound."
A small, semi-hesitant smile crossed Ren's face as he shrugged, sticking his hands in his pockets. "But don't worry," he said. "No one else has noticed. Just me."

Maritess had arrived at the auction to find it had already begun. She wasn't sure how long it's been since the bidding started and whether or not specific students have been bought. She scanned the group that had gathered, spotting familiar faces here and there but she was looking for someone in particular. Where was Lizzy!? She brought out her skelephone to text her friend.
Hi Lizzy, I'm here already. Where are you?
There were two reasons she was at the auction: The first being that Chuppi was involved in the event's organization. The second being that Lizzy was going to bid on someone. Who exactly, the winged vampire didn't know but it didn't really matter to her. It's not like she had the guts to actually go through a date with someone she bid on. The mere thought was simply scandalous for her.

Junko gave a little squeak and closed her eyes as Yaya pulled her in to kiss her forehead, sighing softly and frowning toward her. But Junko was ashamed of Her; She did nothing but cause trouble for Junko and tried desperately to make the ghoul's life miserable! Junko knew one day someone would not just take the simple 'She did it!' as an excuse and do something to Her which would in turn hurt Junko! Yaya just didn't understand. She sighed. "I'll try." She murmured to her friend, burying her face against her and returning the hug. At Yaya's warning to West and his question Junko frowned, resting her chin on Yaya's shoulder.
"She bites, West." Junko warned him, lifting her head to watch the bidding war between Christof and the other boil. Didn't Christof already have a date? Well, it did say the dates didn't have to be exactly dates...or even for the dance! So maybe he just...really wanted Sin's company? Or he was really interested in this cause. She looked up again when she heard a voice calling out to her, smiling and raising an arm to wave back to Daisuke. "Hello, Daisuke! I'm surprised to see you here. Are you here to see Belladonna?" If what Bella had told her on groanspring was true then he must have been here for her! Junko pointed to where Bella was speaking with the cat...boil...
...Cuuuuuuute! Was he up for bid?! Look at those ears! And that tail! So cute!

Her arms looped around Junko's shoulders, Yaya had rested her chin upon one wrist and turned her attention towards the succubus on the stage. A little disappointed she couldn't bid on her, but she'd made a promise to her beloved nergal to wait for him to arrive, and she would most certainly keep it. Besides, it would be exponentially more fun to bid as a unit, and there would be many more lovelies to pick from, she was sure.
Her mind was wondering along the possibilities, but the appearance of Christof approaching the stage pulled her back into focus. Vivid blues twitching up to the hand he'd held up to bid then back down to him. She waited for him to turn, to smile, to wave, something, and when he didn't the djinn was struck with a rather unexpected little curl of jealously.
No, she didn't want the patchwork as anything more then a friend, but after his little display in music class she'd understandably expected some sort of reaction from him where she was concerned.
Lips pressing into a thin line, Yaya turned her head to press her face against the side of Junko's neck and tried to ignore the undead, and the incubus that was bidding against him, and even Sin.
It was completely belated now, but when she turned back to glance at the group, mainly west, she held a hand up near the back of Junko's head only to have Her catch a hold of her wrist, dark hair coiling tightly along her hand. "She bites, and She's grabby." The teasing tone had left her voice, and all of a sudden she badly wanted her nergal to be there at her side.

The Demoness, as usual, had spent way too long trying to decide if it would be better to let her hair down or tie it up. Or if she should wear a dress or a skirt. Or if she should wear boots or heels. By the time she was done and had checked the time on her side-table clock, she was already running late for the start of the auction. When she was finally at the site where the auction was taking place, she felt her skelephone vibrate.
'I'm here, Tess!'
She texted back before looking around, brushing loose strands of hair to the side of her face; many familiar faces had gathered, but it was no time to be socializing! Her eyes finally landed on the ghoul she had asked out, and she immediately made a beeline for her, "Tess! So sorry for being late!" A hand raised in a little wave, Lizzy stopped in front of her friend, pulling her into a quick hug before stepping back, smiling; time to put her plan in action!

Of course Renaissance knew Natalia very well. In fact, he probably knew her better than any other student on campus, but there would be so many more moments of uncertainty and frustration to be had in the future if he intended on staying friends with her. Although mostly an up-beat, quirky individual; the ghoul had her moments of wired, frenzied, estrogen-induced rants and they would come harder and faster the longer the gryphon remained a staple in the werelemur's life.
All that was said prior to the last sentence blurred together, so she didn't bother trying to make sense of it. The auction was still underway, students were surrounding them even as the boil tugged at her arm and yanked her further away. Had she even heard a bid war? That was nice......actually, it sort of made her hope she would have one as well. As her thoughts wrangled themselves around the fact that no one else seemed to notice (or probably care) about her infatuation; the ghoul laughed.
"Okay, okay. I may have a thing for the hellhound...may...it's just--her innocence winds me up. I get a kick from watching her scramble about, trying to impress me. She stumbles over her words and her footing like a newborn pup, and it's just so Jack damn cute. It's also very sexy." She paused, placing one hand on her hip and shifting her weight so her body curved into the gesture. Then with her free hand she covered her lips and laughed a bit too loudly, eyes rolling back in delight. "I haven't even kissed her yet, and that isn't like me AT ALL. I guess we'll see what happens with this one. I do hope she isn't the jealous type..."
Her statement reminded her of their brief Groanspring conversation about Renaissance's ghoulfriend, and then a hint of uncertainty rubbed off onto Natalia as she was also reminded of why she had joined this auction in the first place. Jealousy was a ravenous thing, and the werelemur had plenty to spare--Jack she hoped Whisper was not the envious type! Noticing the pink on her friends face, Natalia waved it off with another bout of laughter. "It's a hard thing to accept, you know how I am so you must already understand that about me. I don't like to go around parading my sincere feelings; I'm just not used to that yet! I really am sorry I snapped at you...can you forgive me?" Shaking her lower lip and creasing her brow as each brow lifted woefully, Natalia frowned.

Maritess hadn't put her skelephone away, opting instead to hold it with one hand while the other unconsciously brushed against the pouch of pumpkin seeds she brought. It contained, for the ghoul, a considerable sum but then again it wasn't as if she was going to use it for herself. Tess rarely indulged herself in anything that wasn't food and not end up feeling guilty afterward. But this was for Lizzy so no guilty feelings here!
And speaking of Lizzy, she heard the tinny chirp of her ringtone and quickly checked her messages. Her lips pulled into a smile and before she could raise her head from the screen, she heard the spider demoness' voice, and was pulled into a hug. She happily returned the embrace, giggling "It's fine, Lizzy. I actually arrived a few minutes ago. I don't know who's been auctioned off yet but maybe the other students would. We could ask them?" she suggested.

"Ohhh, I hope nothing ended yet!" She frowned slightly, although she was relieved she didn't keep her friend waiting at least. Slipping her skelephone into her handbag, Lizzy looked at the current students being auctioned off standing on the stage before turning back to Tess, nodding at the ghoul with a thoughtful expression, "We should probably ask..."
But who?
Spotting a very familiar Igor, she tugged gently on Tess's hand to get her attention before gesturing at Christof. He seemed like he had been around for a while, and he wasn't surrounded by people! Besides, it seems like Arachne was nearby, so they could always ask the Spiderkin if she knew anything if Christof had no idea. Leading the way, she tapped the Patchwork on his arm; after all, he seemed terribly distracted for some reason.
"Christof, had any of the auctions ended yet?"

Watching the demon boil and the patchwork battle in bids over the purple demoness was most amusing to the doll. Though, it questionable as to how the demoness being bid on would feel about all of this. From what she had last heard in the signups, the patchwork already had a date to the dance. This was a war waiting to break out, and it was most likely the boil who wouldn't fare well. Yes'sir! That boil would be torn to pieces by the demon ghouls! What a lovely thought.
Catching sight of what seemed to be someone she recognized, Mei found herself moving towards the ghoul's direction. Crouching down, she couldn't help but reach for the long striped tail laid out before her on the floor, and taking it into her arms as if a small child would with a toy. "Your the ghoul from the Icey Path?" She asked, head tilted in question as she stared at the were lemur, Natalia. She had only seen her once, and probably for all of ten minutes, as it wasn't long after that, that they all got taken back to Halloween Town.

Daisuke was happy someone had heard his greeting. He smiled at Junko who was being cuddled and clung to by another ghoul, which he could only say he vaguely recognized.
"Hey." He made his way closer to them, nodding the ones he hardly knew in greeting. "I thought it may be fun, better than sticking in the dorm whilst you guys are out here having a great time." He grinned before looking over at the patch work, catching a boy who was having a bid war over Sin head out. Then turned back to Junko. "How about you? Looking to bid on someone?" At this, he raised a brow curiously. He didn't think Junko would be the type to bid, then again who really did?
At the mention of Bella he raised his brow, then a course of shock shivered through him. Gaze slipping in the direction of the witch. "Umm... She looks kinda busy, it's ok... I'll just stick here for now. If that's cool?" he smiled again, but kept slipping glances over when he could. What was she wearing? Actually, all the auctioneers seemed to have rather unusual attire tonight.

It was only now that the bidding war was over, that Rosciel had left did Arachne look around with more observant eyes and notice those she knew. She gave a small nod at Daisuke, and also noticed that Belladonna was here.
She moved forwards a little when Elizabeth approached the boil she had helped bid for Sin, and stood a step away from her and the patchwork boil - Christof - as she caught his name from Elizabeth's question towards him.
She listened but did not speak, still slightly thrown from her own actions.

Reeshie Hack Rosc bared his teeth at the boil. Well, teeth wasn't really an accurate term, though one could suppose that they were calcified and white, they didn't much look like the kind of teeth one would expect. He had four molars in the back of his mouth, but every other tooth was pointed and sharp-looking (Not as thin as they are in his true form, but that's another story). Fangs was probably the more appropriate a term. A thought in the back of his mind told him to walk over to Christof and threaten him. Bodily harm, tearing out stitching, burying various pieces all over campus, that sort of thing. But he had doubts on his ability to accomplish that. Well... he could probably pull it off at some expense to his own safety, but then he'd probably get kicked out of school. And Nic would probably kick him out. Which would put him living alone with his inheritance... But then he wouldn't be educated enough to make it last. So he simply turned and left the auction area, shoving the bag with his collective seeds into the hands of the first classmate he passed ( A very lucky Morton! Morton gains 1,131 Seeds!). Morton, whom had only just entered the auction area, blinked in surprise as the blindfolded demon shoved his bag of seeds into his hands. For a long moment, he was much too surprised to do anything at all about it, but after a moment, he turned to look at Rosciel's retreating back, his head tilting to one side as he scented the air. Picking up the Incubus' scene, he made sure to store the information inside his mind. He would doubtlessly be seeking the demon out later at some point in order to return the favor, one way or another. Something about the other boil's sulky, angry appearence told the gargoyle that it was probably best not to approach him now though, and as such, merely lifted his free hand in the air to wave at him, "Hey! Thanks a bunch!" it was only then that he paused to take a peek into the bag, and only just managed to suppress a gasp of surprise; there were a whole load of seeds there! He'd thought he'd probably be trumped, as far as the auction went, and he'd only just come to give it a shot, not really expecting to win. He suddenly had a better feeling about the way this evening might turn out, actually. (( Morton now has a total of 1,457 seeds!))

She really didn't know why she was here. Well, alright she DID know why, but LW had not planned on showing up. Wouldn't it be awkward? At least for a certain boil? She was still highly amused by all of this and had to give her best friend some points. Ren had done well.
Speaking of the gryphon, LW was currently moving through the crowd looking for him, trying to keep anyone from noticing her. Her violet gaze did sweep some of those currently up for auction, but none of them were Gabrian. Probably a good thing. He might come out here and strangle Ren. And then come after her.
The she-wolf sighed. She had to admit, she couldn't blame her boilfriend. He was 'taken', after all. But he also suffered the unfortunate event of having Ren as his best friend and the she-wolf as his ghoulfriend. That was a dangerous combo right there. Add Alessa into that and...yep. One could feel a little sorry for Gabe right now. Maybe. LW was struggling to remember why she felt bad. Especially seeing some of the others up for auction.
Her nose wrinkled and she picked up a familiar scent. Following that, the she-wolf tried to find Ren.

Christof was gaping as his bid-rival seemed to lose his temper, storming from the room and handing his seeds off to some other boil.
Had.... had he won? His eyes practically sparkled as he glanced from Rosc to the stage and back again. But... but the bid time was not up yet, and he had reached his limit. No one would dare outbid him though, right? He had never had TEN pumpkin seeds to his name, let alone OVER A THOUSAND. Thank Barth.
Barth.
Oh no. He still hadn't found his Master a date!
Well.... well... if anyone asked.... He gave a whine, not liking the idea of the Sloth Demon putting his lazy hands all over HIS rightfully earned parts... But... but... if Miss Morrigan had anything to say about it... hopefully she wouldn't.
Suddenly, he was aware someone was calling his name and he turned to spy Lizzy and a few of her friends coming towards him, his face flushed and still gripping his bulging bags of seeds to his chest with a whine, pointing up to the stage with a trembling digit. Where had the nice demoness who had given him the extra seeds gone? She was right there before, he needed to thank her properly-
