Rit blinked in surprise when Persephone burst out laughing she waited until the other phim had a chance to explain. Still her heart did a little triumphant flip hearing Persephone was single. The adoption made sense to her. If a fox was unable to care for a kit than the kit would be passed to another family. It did happen from time to time when a house came under a rather… unpleasant successful overthrow of the previous head.
“Ah I see. There is no problem with that. After all it only shows you to be a kind fox.” Rit kissed Persephone softly on the forehead. “Not all foxes would be as amorous as you. ” she then proceeded to stoke the lightning phims wings softly. Was this why the other vixen seemed s o world weary at times? Because she had raised a kit successfully yet still had no mate? Rit didn’t like to see Persephone so glum and tired. She liked to see the other phim smiling.

"well its also a bit of a custom in my family. My dad loves kits, well I guess not really loves but he has a bit soft spot for them. He would rescue stranded or abandoned kits all the time and make sure they had a place to stay. Eventually he got old enough to where he could take care of one by himself so he adopted my older sister." Persephone explained and then blanked out a bit as her heart decided it was going to go on vacation. Successfully at least she kept herself from blushing however at the small kiss.
(lol in fact one of the kits he rescued ended up with one of his sons but Persephone isnt supposed to know that at the moment apparently)

(LOL families are so complicated. *is not even going into how Emi is actually related to Rit.*)
“So kindness and generosity run in your family that’s wonderful. ” Smiling warmly Rit looked over the creatures of the area and the landscape. It struck her how amazing the other vixen was for being so kind and living in such an area. It was a surprise that Rit had gotten a chance to meet such an awe inspiring phim. “You know I think I came to the outerworld to meet you.” She realized the absurdity of her words so she tried to clarify. “What I mean is.. it just struck me how astronomically small the chances are of me meeting someone as kind and daring as you as one of the first foxes I meet when I came here. ”

"ah at least one side of it" she answered slitting coming back to earth. Persephone blinked a bit before looking at the sky this time. "ah well I'm sure the modeity of fate that sits up there gets bore occasionally dont you think" she teased. "but then again even though the chances are small it still happened and happens all the time. The thing about your brother and how he found his mate. How when I fell into the river when I was younger I would meet two of my best friends ever who are in fact in my tribe with me. Personally I think it ties into my theory about a bored modeity of fate... the good one obviously" she mused.

Giggling Rit had to nod her head in agreement. “Who knows what else the modeity of fate had in store for us in life.” She stopped stroking the lightning phims wings and poked her playfully. “Would you do me the honor of taking a walk with me in this paradise?” She took a few steps forward and didn’t notice that her tail brushed the fur of the other phim. “the air feels good her and it’s nice and warm~”
Air gently caressing her face made Rit smile as she turned back to Persephone. A few strands of hair blew into her face and she tried to get them out, but they were just being stubborn. “Blah my hair is so stubborn sometimes. ”

"uh huh" was the unintelligent response that Persephone managed to get out. She was going to have a problem if Ritilanishia kept rubbing wings or kissing foreheads or brushing tails. Shaking her head she knew she needed a more reasonable response. "ah I guess its a bit warm. I've gotten used to it a bit."
"yes a walk would be nice" Persephone stated folding her wings back and letting them rest lightly on her back. She went to well she would never know because seconds later a random strange gust of wind blew most of her hair into her face. "it cant be worse than mine" she laughed.

Rit laughed seeing Persephone’s voluptuous hair gust into her face. She went back to the other phim to help her sort out her mass of hair. “Here now let me help.” Brushing aside the hair Persephone couldn’t help but pet it a bit. “Your hair is very soft you know that? Do you do anything special to keep it so in this desert?”
Seeing Persephone so close with the warm sun on her features made Rit’s heart beat a bit faster. Still Persephone was only her tovarish right? There could not be more to this. Rit had a sad smile on her lips and tried to sound more cheerful to lighten the mood. “Well you know the area far more than I. Lead on tovarish.”

Persephone reached up a paw to touch her hair. It was her hair so she didnt really see anything much about it other than when ever any wind came it always ended up in her face. Was it not supposed to be soft. She guessed the hot air might kill it but.... "ah no I dont really do anything. Its just really resilient or something like that"
Suddenly a sad smile crossed Rit's face and persephone instinctively raised a paw upwards to do... to do what exactly its not like she could touch the other phims face again. She was just a really good friend. The paw lingered there a bit before persephone dropped it. "alright I will" she finally said.

Rit smiled at the lightning phim. She freezes up when the other’s paw rests on her face. Her heart starts to hammer in her chest. Unsure of what to say she blinks helpless. “Oh ah… mmhmm..” She followed Persephone for a while without speaking. What could she say to Persephone? I am feeling a strong connection with you and was wondering if you would be interested in a relationship with me? You are the most wonderful and beautiful phim I have ever met? Rit shook her head trying to figure it out.
Still if she did nothing what would happen? Nothing. I would end up back in Tzara and not ever be able to express my feelings. How did my brother handle this when he found his mate? “Ah tovarish?”

'ugh that was stupid... stupid. Haven't you already gotten in her personal space enough already today' Persephone thought. 'okay think positive thoughts, think something about work. Yes work is always safe'. She looked around at Aswan and wondered where would the best place to walk to. Ah that place. It was some thing that was apparently famous to the humans. All three of the Modeities had been carved into the mountain side and stood over looking the lake and their temple.
Silence over took them for a while and Persephone stopped nearly in front of the statues as she heard Rit call out to her. "ah yes?"

“Oh I was wondering if..” Groping for words Rit was feeling flustered. “Well I was wondering..” The frozen hell of the 10th temple modiety to this… Rit shut her eyes and took a breath. “I feel really good around you. I know you probably don’t feel the same way, but I felt I had to share my feelings with you.” A blush spread over her face and she wanted to disappear from the face of the planet. “I know I haven’t known you long but I feel very close to you. ”
Only her formal training as a noble of a house kept her from flinching or hiding behind her wings or tail. She felt so incredibly stupid for putting herself out there like that, but what else could she do? It wasn’t like the other vixen had similar feelings anyway. No one can say I don’t express myself.

Persephone waited and knew it was something important. Something that Ritilanshia was having problems with. Having to deal with brothers that had problems telling her things she calmly waited it out not daring to think anything. It was safer and Persephone could deal with it easier when it came, or so she though. When Ritilanshia finally managed to tell her statement the patient expression died.
The expression on Persephone's face stared out blank. Mostly because she was in total and utter shock. Eventually the expression changed into a small smile, then a bigger smile, then a really really big smile. Then seconds later Persephone leap up and tackled Ritilanishia in a hug.

Persephone was so patient with her while she tried to gather her words.. when Persephone’s face showed a blank Rit felt her heart crush. She was ready to turn and fly away in shame when a miracle happened. The other vixen was smiling. Suddenly she wasn’t just smiling. Persephone was on Rit and Rit couldn’t hold them both up and they where on the sand. She gasped and looked at Persephone.
“S-so it’s ok? You don’t mind?” looking up at Persephone she dared not breathe. She had expected to be rejected or to be kindly put off.. not this! She reached up and placed a paw on the lightning phim’s hair. “You know you hardly know anything about me.” But I want to stay so you can learn everything.

"do I mind? I think you just made me the happiest phim this side of the Iteru. Which might actually be true since Kaname is pretty sick." Persephone shook her head and turned back towards the phim. It was actually one that seemed like they wanted to stay around for once. Who had said it first instead of her. Of course now they would have to go to one of the temples and clean off all this sand but it was minuscule annoyance at the moment.
"I know that there are a lot of things we dont know about each other, but we know enough at the moment and its something to look forward to. I guess you could call it a small little adventure." Persephone stated. "Besides whats the fun of knowing everything about a person right from the start, I think thats one of the privileges of being old and gray with your mate and even then they should still surprise you."

Feeling like she was flying rather than laying in sand Ritilanishia broke out into a smile. Persephone didn’t mind her feelings at all. In fact she seemed to have the same if not similar feelings for the plainer purple Phim. She nodded at what her beloved said. “I’m sure that not only well we be able to surprise one another, but if bored enough the modeity of fate will work its own particular brand of entertainment to keep us both busy enough for a life time.”
She was used to close contact, but that of friends or servants… never a mate! Oh she wasn’t sure what she wanted to do. She felt like rolling over and pinning Persephone and licking and kissing her until the end of time, and yet all the same she wanted to blush and hide behind her tail. Of course her education would not permit hiding and pinning Persephone might be too rough so soon… so she took the middle ground Rit kissed Persephone softly on the cheek for once in her life feeling a bit shy. “I can’t wait to come and join your tribe.. as your partner.” How do outworlders view same gender pairings anyway?
(And so another member of the 8th house is pulled away.. I really need t o stop doing that or the whole house will collapse -_-‘ *has a solution in place for this though so all good ^.^*)
