The woman stared at him, her tail halting in movement. She seemed to be stunned rather than contemplating, to shocked to even open her mouth. Though, she was smart. She was the kind to find loop-holes and figure out ways she could be tricked, even though she seriously doubted Adonis would do such a thing. Then again, she doubted he would ever show interest in her....
The ex-bounty hunter stared at him, blinked rapidly, and managed to rip her thoughts from her head, careful to not stutter, though the faint red tint to her cheeks did betray the tough vixen. "Depends," She mused, blunt as usual. "On if you were joking or not." He could just be asking a simple question...or...
".....Are you?"

Adonis waited, unable to explain the nervousness he felt as he watched her watch him. The suspense seemed endless. Tithe just seemed... Shocked. Finally, however, she did speak, and it was again Adonis' turn to think about what next to say. Of course she couldn't just give a straight answer. But then, Adonis hadn't really expected any differently.
Tilting his head to one side, he began, "I'm not joking in that I sincerely wish to know how you would feel. I'm also not joking in that I would like to be your mate."

Him. Adonis. Adonis wished to be her mate? Mate as in they would stay beside one another. Live together. Possibly have kids one day. Like Nana and Yugure. This was an option given to her and she nearly ran from it. Why? Because Tithe knew she wasn't the best woman out there for him. She wasn't sweet constantly, nor a lot. She had a tongue, a temper, and a stubborn streak. Yet, somehow this attracted him?
But why deny what would make them both happy? Yes. Happy. She'd be happy. Yea. She was admitting it. But.... no. s**t. No more buts. Briefly she glanced to the side, fang cutting into her bottom lip for a second. At the taste of blood she looked at him, tail swishing.
"....I'm not saying it." She finally stated, a faint tint into her cheeks. Instead she went over to him, flopped down, rested her head awkwardly on his neck, and licked his ear. Hopefully he'd get it.

Tithe was clearly debating inwardly about his question. A lot. That could be either good or bad, and because Adonis was who he was, he took it as a bad thing: she probably just didn't know exactly how to reject him. His eyes drifted down to his own feet as he waited. Though Adonis was doubtful of her returned affections, he wasn't going to say anything to speed up her decision.
Adonis had been expecting a simple yes or no answer to be the first thing he heard from her, but when that wasn't the case he was forced to look up at her. Not saying...? Her actions afterwards initially confused him even more. Then he understood it.
"Are you... serious?" He asked, but as he questioned her answer, he knew he couldn't wipe the stupid, happy smile off his face. "I'm... I'm glad, Tithe." Adonis was so content that he even licked her back, but on the cheek.

"That's a stupid question." She grumbled back, refusing to look at him. However, when he licked her cheek she flicked her ear, looking up at him, red eyes flicking away seconds later. Wait, was she nervous? Really? Pawing at the ground, the dark vixen chuckled slightly.
"Now lets see what Desmon says when he finds out." She mused lightly, the normally rash vixen glanced up at Adonis once more, frowning. Oh god dammit, fine. He was her mate now, so... It was okay.
Resting her head back on his shoulder, the vixen grumbled: "Does that mean I have to be a proper woman and welcome you home everyday?"

"I apologize for the stupid question," he joked. "It's instinctive, sometimes. When I'm feeling particularly happy. So just don't make me happy." Adonis shrugged, giving Tithe a cheeky grin. "As for Desmon... I'm sure he'll be jealous of you. You are with me now, after all." Adonis laughed again, before resting his head on top of Tithe's.
"Proper woman?" He then repeated. "I believe I prefer the fiery vixen that you already are."

"Oh yes, he would be so very jealous." She chuckled, eying the males feet. Jeeze, when did this happen? Tithe? Having a mate? She almost snorted in amusement. Glancing up at him, her tail flicked side to side.
"Should I leave my tribe?" She asked. It didn't matter to her if she did or didn't. Hell, she had no idea why she was even in the tribe. Perhaps because teaching had amused her? Maybe. Either way, it was a strange thing, being a teacher, and though she didn't hate it she also wouldn't mind leaving for Adonis.

Adonis tilted his head at her sudden question. "I don't see why you should," he said. "I'm not exactly tied down to any one territory, and I'm sure you joined this tribe for a reason. You don't need to leave it on my account. I could check it out and see if I want to join it, and if not, I can move nearby." He shrugged. It made no difference to him either way. If he joined, great. If he decided he really didn't fit in, then living nearby would be fine as well.
Deciding to explain even more of his reasoning aloud, he continued, "Even if it does end up being the latter, I'll still be able to see you often enough, perhaps every day. We can visit each other, and I can help you out with your random.. tribal duties?" Adonis shrugged again, not sure exactly what kind of tribal duties that Tithe would have, besides hunting. "And besides, it sounds like a fun tribe. Interesting, from what you've said."

She shrugged back. It didn't matter to her either way. "As long as it is made perfectly clear that if I smell the scent of any other vixen on you I'll hunt them down." She grumbled quietly, tail flicking idly. "If you are in the tribe I could watch the women nearby. If you live nearby I'll be forced to make sure your den smells strongly of my presence."
Ah, now that he was her mate she'd make it clear to any..... intruders that he was her mate. Hers. Tithe was a very quiet possessive type of mate, independent and relaxed, she'd eat someones heart if they came after her mate.

Adonis laughed and nodded his head. "I wouldn't want you any other way," he assured her. It didn't matter to him that she was so possessive. What would he want with another vixen, anyways? Absolutely nothing.
"Similarly, I'll expect you to hunt down any fox that tries anything with you," Adonis added, smiling. "Hunt them down, teach them a lesson or two, and return to me with just their tails." Though it was a joke, Adonis was able to sound completely serious throughout.

Flicking back hair, Tithe nodded, just as serious. "Done." The dark vixen glanced over at her mate, clicking her tongue. "Perhaps with just their eyes." She chuckled slightly, looking up at her new mate before stretching out, tail lazily flicking back and forth.
"Now. You should sleep, seeing as you are still injured. Unless you are pretending, if you are I'll make you get up and do something useful with yourself."

"That's a fair compromise," he said with a nod. "Although I don't think eyes are so easy to preserve." Despite obviously joking, Adonis did inwardly wonder what he could do with a bunch of gouged eyeballs. Probably nothing.
"Well, I don't think I'm injured, per se," he added, "but I certainly could do with some sleep." To prove a point, Adonis yawned and stretched out a little more. "Yeah, a nap sounds nice right now." Resting his head against his paw, the fox shut his eyes. He didn't fall asleep immediately, but he was definitely drifting off.

"Preserve or not, I believe if vixens heard of a woman stealing the eyes of those that try to seduce her man then they will stay away." She looked at Adonis, flipping her tail on his. Possessive, yes. But in a good way.
When he stretched out she stayed awake. Briefly the dark vixen attempted sleep but couldn't, head raising to look into the distance. Hm. This man would stay be her side until the day he grew tired of her or she grew tired of him. Or death. Could a person love another person that long? Was she using the word love so easily? No, not easily, she hadn't even really mentioned that word actually. Tithe didn't need to, her actions alone guaranteed her feelings. Possessiveness was something she only showed with things she held great positive feelings for, and Adonis was one of then. She had stayed to nurse him, hadn't ripped his ear to shreds when he came close to her, and had accepted his advances.
She lowered her head to the ground in thought. Such a strange concept, but endearing. She liked it, if it was only Adonis and only ever would be the male. Her ears flicked as she heard noises, head raising quietly.
(( Occ:// For their second rp I was thinking that, since I own Eire as well, Tithe stumbles upon Eire, Adonis see's the two, and it serves as mating rp and a rp to get to know Eire again? ))

"I suppose I certainly can't argue with that," Adonis responded. "Not that I really need something like that to scare off those evil, horrid vixens. I can do that all on my own." He didn't bother opening his eyes, or moving much while he spoke. He was comfortable just where he was. "Frankly, I'm surprised I didn't scare you off, too. But then, you're neither evil, nor horrid..." He trailed off, finally unable to resist drifting off to sleep.
[Yeah, that sounds good. Should Blaise be there too, just so they can meet as well? Heck, she should just meet the whole family~]

Tithe listened to her mate, nodding briefly. "I'm sure Desmon would plead otherwise." She mused lightly, almost gleeful in imagining the expression the b*****d would have when he found out about this. Of course, she'd tell Nana first. Nana was far more important then idiotic Desmon any day. Nana was her princess~
Actually.... She watched her new mate fall asleep, smirking. She would bring him to Nana. Yes.
(( Well, anyone you own and I'll toss Eire out <3 I also want to toss out Desmon and Nana briefly, probably towards the end. ))
