I play contra alto clarinet in wind ensemble...IMO the awesomest instrument ever. Especially since I get to play string bass and contrabassoon parts. blaugh

I play teh bassoon....only person in my section.... crying It gets very lonely. I hope there is a bassoonist next year for me to be with.

hey guys! I play tenor sax most of the time and i play bari sax(first year) for marching band! if anybody has any marching tips for bari please let me know! Im kinda being pushed into it by my director, so i can use all the help i can get.

I play Bassoon (or used to last year I move arounda lot) And Bari Sax and I played bass clarinet for soloensemble.

((Sorry for double posting but lets get some pages on this baby all the other threads have like 80 pages or atleast 20))
So whats your favorite piece to play on a low woodwind. As most of you know we ussually get boring parts (like the boom of the boom chucks or if you play bassoon you get both lol!)
A few pieces I like are
Danse Bachanalle (Bassoon and Bari Sax and Bass Clar))
Variation on a Korean Folk SongAnd allthree cuz it was a really hard piece. (to hard for bassoon lol!)
English Folk Song Suite on all three cuz we all had different parts which made things a little more interesting.
