As she continued searching the foliage of her chosen tree for anything shiny, she caught sight of a fellow student in a nearby tree. He was looking straight at her, and he looked upset. She could only guess why, and she guessed wrong.

Just keep quiet, until Red's gone. She emitted the words quietly to the group, though her eyes remained focused on him. Her voice was hushed, simply out of habit more than any necessity. While you're at it, look around. They mentioned something about finding 'it' before we do. I'm willing to bet it's another one of those pendants Arel just used, and I'd be more than happy to find out exactly what they're hiding from us by finding it first.

Astra wondered idly as she hovered high over the school grounds if she really wanted to go check out the shed again. It was tiring to be continuously chased by things or thrown high into the air, and she still had yet to get through any of the obstacles towards the final stages of the shed or the Maze.

However, these things became the last thing on her mind, as she saw the secretary waltz into the forest, then a few students move closer to the forest. She remembered all to clearly what happened last time students had moved near the weeping forest. But this was not the reason why she stayed in her position and watched. Oh no, she had been quick to spot a certain red dragon, whom she had antagonized over Groanspring a while back. Not that he didn't deserve it! But she was not about to face the much bigger (and stronger, and meaner, and more likely to fry her) student until she was sure her safety was assured. Or she had a good escape plan.

That was until a strong though was sent through her brain, a though that said to hide, and do it quickly. She knew who sent this thought, and decided not to take any chances. Her speed sent her hurting towards the trees, keeping towards the edges and darting into one of them hoping her approach was not noticed by the secretary. Or red for that matter.

No no no no no. Not again!

It seems like Jimmy had a sort of attraction to the Weeping forest; whenever it was remotely near the place, the Reigndeer would get unnecessarily excited. While the many 'Get out' warning signs around Breck's shed did not deter the minipet (it didn't know how to read), Lizzy thought that their last experience in the Weeping forest would... Then again, Jimmy pretty much vanished into the forest and only appeared back in her room a few days later, somewhat battered from its rough game of tag.

"Please stop! Jimmy!" She had forgotten to bring out the whip from Minipet training, and was greatly regretting it; what if Jimmy got into trouble again? Or worse - what if it got both of them into trouble? The thought was enough to get her to speed up as they entered the forest. Feeling rather desperate, Lizzy pushed herself forward in a leap and reached for Jimmy's hind leg, grabbing its hoof in her hand as they stumbled forward from her little "act". The Reigndeer wiggled in Lizzy's arms, turning into its skeletal form in an attempt to wiggle free, but she held on firmly.

So focused was she on the task at hand that she failed to notice the students around her until she stood up, minipet held to her chest... Immediately, the color of her face started to match the color of her hair; seemed like a few familiar faces had witnessed her little spectacle.

Before she could say 'hi', however, the Demoness sensed the tension in the air. Eyes landing on Riley, she followed the purple ghoul's gaze to a very familiar faculty member - Ariel. Wait, no, that was close but not right... Ah, Arel, the one who debriefed them after their encountered with the human world! What was he doing though...?

She ducked into the group who were with Riley as subtly as she could, not wishing to be seen on forbidden grounds by a school staff. She nervously chewed on her lower lip as she glanced at the other students; were they watching him?

Arachne wondered what in Jack's name was going on. She'd been out wandering around the ground, two of her skitters making webs on the back of her hood, and she'd been searching out any clouds of gnats for the pair. As she wandered around, she noticed a slow and steady trail of students heading up towards Brecks shed. First one, and then another, and soon a fair few had gone up there. The Spiderkin was torn between appearing to not care where they were all going, and curiosity as to why there were headed up there.

She gathered the skirts of her long dress and walked up, trailing far behind, the skitters dangling on thin threads and drifting back and forth across her back as she moved.

She joined the small crowd just after Elizabeth did, and she moved to her side, giving her a gentle tap on the shoulder.

Why the hell was everyone so damn skittish just because some teachers were bitching? None of the students around here were actually in the forest that he could see. Well, at least he wasn't. West was wondering if he was truly the last great badass in all of Halloween when Riley's command rang through his brain. Fine. Maybe it would be best to obey. He didn't want to be the only idiot standing around here if Arel or Red happened to look this way.

He took several steps back toward the shed, having had the same idea as Aksaja regarding where to hide, when he noticed a bright flash out of the corner of his eye. The voices were gone. West stood out in the open several feet from the shed, squinting into the forest. What now?

He was more than happy to be allowed to tag along as he found that if he was in a group, he couldn't be blamed as much for acting on his own. There was protection in numbers, and he liked this little mismatched herd they had going. So, following along, the group went to the overgrown foliage of the edge of the woods as Sharra had suggested, the boil leading the herd as they entered the woods. The forest didn't hold found memories for him as of late. Aside from Truth or Dare, which had been a confusing game, there had been Hellma's scare tactic of nearly undressing and the mad race to get back to the doors with Red on your heels. He didn't want to repeat either and kept his eyes and ears open, high on his hooves as he looked about, ears twitching and pivoting as he scanned the area for any sigh of something strange or dangerous.

As he did, he heard Riley's voice and grumbled. Who did she think she was, ordering people around? He wasn't about to take orders from her! Walking along, he found a rock and aiming in where he last saw Riley climb, threw it up. It probably missed, but he felt better after. He thought out to her. Shut up, Riley! No one's taking orders from you! How about you fall out of that tree! He shouted mentally. UGH! He heated when her voice was in his head. It was a clear invasion of his brain! As if he'd take orders from her. He was already looking around before she even said so. SO THERE!

At Riley's urgent message, Jericho was about to duck away, but that bright flash caught his attention. Had the two warped off to some other world? With a frown, he began to scale one of the trees to try and get a little better vantage point of the area, as well as to sort of hide. He looked about for any signs of the staff, as well as anything that might seem kind of shiny.

<<I don't think they're around anymore, Riley,>> he sent to the Mindflayer, not wanting to shout down lest he attracted unwanted attention, <<I'll try to see if I can spot anything from up here.>>

Calder. Calder. ALWAYS CALDER. She was going to have to take care of him, and soon. A rock came flying at her, going wide with no threat of actually hitting her. One of her tentacles snapped out and caught it as it sailed past, and she plucked it out with one hand.

Pathetic. She murmured quietly, while turning the rock around in her hand. It was amusing, how wrong he was - she mused quietly as she watched the students scatter and begin hiding or searching. Calder was running out of insults.. if he ever had any good ones to begin with. Maybe he wasn't worth the time and trouble to worry about, after all.

This made her feel immensely better, and if she could smile, she would. Instead, she responded to Jericho's thought. It's Red. Don't underestimate her. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Too many things happened at once for the witch to really fight back like she wanted, so instead she was dragged along with Junko, being dragged by Yaya, being dragged by-- Ooohh la la! Belladonna didn't know him and now she was mad that Yaya had been keeping secrets! But then Red was coming and everyone was hiding and Belladonna was trying to stuff her giant hoop-skirt under the bushes. It was not working.

"UM." The witch whispered, "So... What are we looking for? A pendant of some sort?" She wanted to argue that they should be investigating out in the open, because unless someone had also been hiding in the bushes, there was no way that pendant or whatever had been dropped here. Still, she wasn't in the position to argue. Actually... She wasn't in the position to do anything but let out a small whimper. "Help! My hoop is stuck!" She hissed to the nearest person, tugging against the branch that had wedged itself into the corner of one cage junction.

This was dreadful!! Not fun at all either...

Barth immediately employed the stand-by tactic of doing an impression of a very tall and well-dressed rock.

From his position, he heard the professors and saw the flash of light. They were discussing the pendant(s) from before. Objects of power. His father had a few rules concerning those, one of which was never consume any energy source larger than your head. He had seen enough Gluttony demons explode that way.

Still, Barth was neither a Gluttony or Greed demon.

But, having power at your disposal usually made a few things either. He peered into the gloom of the forest, trying to discern any hint of a faraway glitter.

It had been awhile since Colette visited Breck's Shed and what he had given her hadn't helped with her reason for visiting at all, but she knew it wasn't going to be a problem anymore and decided to go let him know everything was fine now. However, her trip was disturbed when she noticed several students along the forest and even saw a few she knew. Colette bit her lip and looked from the forest to Breck's shed, debating if she should find out what was going on. The shed would be always be there, but whatever they were doing...

Shrugging, she mumbled to no one but herself and the two swords taking their usual ride on her back, "I suppose it couldn't hurt.." and headed in the direction of the students. Colette had made what she saw as Belladonna's vibrant hair her target, but the ghoul quickly vanished into some underbrush with Yaya and a couple of other students and Colette decided she didn't really want to disturb whatever they were doing. Instead, she saw a more easier target just.. standing there.

Slowing down and walking over to Barth, the Reaper weaved her fingers together behind her back and stood next to him. "Hey," she said and gave a small smile, ".. What're you guys doing?" Colette glanced at a fleeting student and then back at Barth, considering it may be some weird version of hide and seek. Though, why anyone would make him the seeker, she couldn't understand.

Christof kept digging, the hole almost big enough for the bag, "Jutht keep a look out for anyone!" He hissed through his scarf to Amrita, "If they catch uth with thethe we're probably in trouble! Mithtreth wath quite clear." Panic had built up in his voice, "I thought thith time of day people would be in clath! I thould have kept thlinking... here hold thith!" He quickly shoved the shovel into her backwards hands before dragging the sack into the hiding spot and madly started to kick the dirt back into place over top of it. "They'll need cleaning, Mith, but I think you'll like them!"

It didn't even occur to him to look anywhere but in the dirt.

To say that Amrita was having a hard time understanding Christof was a huge understatement. She had a much easier time figuring out what he meant when he was mute! She settled for staring at him with a blank expression, her head tilting once in a rather canine way.

Eventually she did understand that she had to play lookout, and with a low 'oooooh' of understanding, she turned to do her job. Well, she tried; first she fumbled with it and then she nearly dropped it, but soon enough she was holding it tight against her chest, both arms wrapped around it, and then she turned to do her job.

Which, of course, had her spotting poor trapped Belladonna. Oh no, that was terrible!

"I'll be right back!" She whispered to Christof before moving to Belladonna with the shovel in tow, being careful where her backwards feet stepped. "H-here, let me, um, help!" The little Vetala shakily made it to her knees, leaning the shovel against her shoulder to free her hands enough to work the ghouls's skirt free of the branch.

Thankfully the few students who were searching around were too busy searching around to be blinded by the flash of light that occurred rather suddenly. The trees rustled, a few wild corrividus scattered, flapping in different directions, as the light cleared to reveal not one but two figures. Well, in theory two and a half, if you included the rather large bag the taller of the two figures had slung over one shoulder: a suspicious light and dark blue patterned scarf was sticking out of the tied end of the bag, muffled curses seemingly coming from within.

Both strangers were dressed in large hooded cloaks, a forest grey that would have done a better job of blending with the landscape, had the pendants they were holding not been glowing oddly, resonating with each other. Only their sleeves, a white collar with fine gold trim, could be seen peeking out from their camouflage.

The taller of the two figures reacted first. "....Halloween students. Joy." They simply flung the bag behind them, taking a rather nonchalant offensive stance as they shoved the other figure away. "Go find who we talked about earlier, I'll deal with these reject goons."

"Oh my! But how could I leave you to face these big, bad, untrained kids by yourself, oh noble hero?" The other figure smiled and gave a rather dismissive gesture to the situation as a whole. "Try and survive extreme daycare long enough for me to take care of things!" They gave a little wave and began walking away with a fairly cheerful bounce in their step, pausing once to throw out a reassuring, "If things go south, I'll just explode some s**t, kay?"
