His dilated stare moved towards Rabid, "I am in control." His the rasp from his voice left. his arms crossed he turned back to the other two, more so towards the one with white hair... well white lopsided hair.

Rabid nodded lightly, her attention taken by the new man with the undeniably awesome white hair. Malachi knew him and, it seemed, liked him. That meant that...whomever this man was...Birvan had he said? Well, whomever this man was, he couldn't be all bad. She stood back, watching him withdraw the objects from his pocket.

"Good," Ike stated simply, "Just be careful. Will doesn't like being fought."

He won't be able to get me out. You're mine.

He will, and you're sadly mistaken. You're mine.

"He's not going to fight him" Jabir stated. As soon as he saw the sphere, he knew what Birvan intended to do

He looked at Jabir, with a half smile. Actually he'd be amazed if he had forgotten about the last time he did this

"No, I'm not. But I can't tell you what I'm about to do, or he'll listen"

He started chosing some of the crystals, picking out an amethyst, a carnelian, a malachite and a tourmaline, storing the others back into his pocket. Then he grabbed out the sphere and introduced the gems without breaking the glass. They all faded away, filling the orb with a strange liquid, that swirled and shined under the light of the ceilling lamps

"I still need a small strand of your hair Ike... and a drop of your mother's blood"

Baxterfullous's yellow eyes gleamed, watching the one called Birvan do his work. Crossing his arms over his chest, he canted his head to the side with interest.

Rabid bit into her finger without hesitation, nearly impaling it completely, and held it out to Birvan. She wasn't quite sure what she had to do, really.

Ike first reached for his tail, but stopped. Birvan had said "hair", not "fur", and this wasn't something he was going to chance. He plucked a couple of strands of hair from his scalp and held them up to the white-haired man.

Birvan let the blood touch the glass, which was immediatly absoved an mixed with the rest, and grabbed out the strands, letting them slowly enter the sphere. Soon the whole mixture started to swirl even faster and loosing it's substance, turning into some kind of white gas that let out a soft glow

"It's ready" he knelled down in front of Ike "Put this in your mouth and whatever happens, don't you break it"

Ike took the orb gently and placed it on his tongue, careful to not crush it with his jaw or crack it with his teeth. This was a feat in and of itself.

Child...do you know what he's doing?

...

Child?

...

We both know. We both can see it. You don't think I'll let him, do you?

Quickly and unexpectedly Birvan applied an odd version of the "kiss of life". But it was enough to trigger the reaction

Inside of Ike's mind time seemed to freeze, moving at a much slower rate than the real world, stoping any contact with the body for a split second (which seemed an eternity in it)
But there was another soul inside, a vague form that didn't stay still long enough to make out the shape, although it seemed... birdish

"Hello"

Ike, althought rather surprised, had no negative reaction. He peered a bit aimlessly around the room, waiting for something to happen.

William was rather unhappy at this...unwanted physical contact with his host, not to mention the invasion of his personal space. He sent a bit of himself...just enough to have an influence...across the room and into the head of his host's mother, cursing violently albeit silently so she would not hear.

When the time came, he could exit and return.

Back in Ike's head, he was determined to remain inconspicuous.

This isn't good.

But soon it returned, as if attracted by an invisible magnet

"It won't work" Birvan's voice stated, almost mockingly "You're trapped"
PostPosted: Sun May 07, 2006 6:24 pm

Thwarted, William cried out in anguish.

"Oh, shut up."

There's no way...no way they can be rid of me this easily!

And suddenly he remembered...and relaxed...allowing himself to be pulled from Ike's conscious, or whatever it was that the man was trying to do.

"Did it...work?"

"Not yet"

He wasn't to let that piece of trash escape. That outburst was enough for Birvan to locate where William was hidding, so the odd shape made a bee line towards it, before William got too far
He soon spotted it, a piece of black soul floating about in a corner

Now to cut the umbelical cord

"Spotted, loser"
PostPosted: Sun May 07, 2006 6:37 pm

William gasped, feigning defeat rather well. He had been beaten, of course, but only on a technicality. His soul would be dead, yes. He would no longer exist.

...but there were ways around that.

Not that anyone in the room would understand what he planned to do. In fact, even he didn't.

"Fine! Bloody FINE! I've had enough of this damnable planet," his disembodied voice floated, "Do what you wish...just make it quick!"

Ike sat up and hugged his knees, eyes wide and ears folded back. The last time he'd heard that voice...

His mind hummed with the memories of the night he'd first met William. All of the blood and the screaming...it was awful.

...wait...

They were his memories...

The suddend stream of memories caught Birvan offguard for a second. But he turned to the task at hand. He'd ask about this later

He engulfed the small piece of soul with his own, finishing the spell and propelling to the real world once more

In Ike's mouth the fragile glass had turned into a solid piece of stone, very hard and cold to the touch

"Sorry about that"
