Wondering briefly how Sabriel could have saved something from pants, Len nodded in polite interest as he spoke. At his offer, she shrugged and nodded.
"Sure. Thank you," she said. Feeling rather unequal in the sharing, she glanced about her person for something to give. An idea sparked...but, no...she only did that with friends.... ah, hell.
"Here." she said shortly, plucking off a razor feather. As it started to dull, she scraped a claw over the back of her hand, watching a bead of black blood well up. With detached precision she smeared the little bit of blood across the feather, watching in satisfaction as the dulling effect reversed. The blood dried in an evil looking jagged stripe, making the feather look even more dangerous.
"This," she said, pushing it over to the Cat, "is dangerous. And probably not a good idea to give you. Try not to kill anyone with it."

Sabriel went quiet, watching the blood well up in a very focused way. Accepting the feather, he picked it up with the tips of his claws, inspecting the razor sharp edges and the dark stripe, all while looking extremely happy.
He flashed her an enormous toothy grin. "Will try." he vowed. He took a gulp of the juice (watery from melting ice) like they'd just toasted each other. Even the fact it was a gift from Len didn't matter - it was perhaps the most incredibly awesome gift he'd ever, ever recieved.
There was a pause. ...now what? The Bird got to look at Prince. He got a feather. They'd talked. Finished drinks. Talked. Len was saved from being rudely abandoned by a bored Sabriel by a voice calling his name in the hallway, sounding annoyed and un-Chin like. "Sabriel! Get out here!"
The Cat muttered something under his breath that a toddler shouldn't know, adding a louder, "Darby." by way of explanation. They were back. A quick escape was in order.

Oddly pleased that she'd made the little monster happy, Lenore glanced in the direction Miss Chin's voice had come from.
"Well, guess I'll see you later, then," she said. "You can show me Prince later."

He made a face, highly disgruntled that Len hadn't had the chance to admire Prince, and hopped down to the floor, leaving the glass where it was. Somebody'd clean it up. Darby's voice was getting louder and louder in pitch and it wouldn't be long before she came around the corner, all ready for murder.
"See you," Sabriel muttered unhappily, then disappeared into the hallway not a moment too soon. Darby came tromping by. She took a quick look inside, gave Len a slightly suspicious glance, but couldn't find anything to blame on the birdlike girl - with a harrumph, she continued on down the hallway.
"SAAAABRIEEEEEEEEEL!"
It looked like he'd gotten away after all.
