Aphrodite stared clinging to Al as the large black dragon swopped.. and then missed? Falling over from where she sat, she stared at the situation, unable to pry her eyes away. "Rex.. are you ok?" She asked weakly.

Rex laughed, about to comment that he's bigger than most others when out of the side of his eyes the boy caught sight of the swooping dragon. There was only the brief reaction of widened eyes and WHAM! The illusion went through him, sending a brief but exhilarating rush of adrenaline through the mishap.
Meanwhile, King's eyes narrowed, nostrils flaring. The tyrannosaur's eyes narrowed and there was an odd, reddish glint of blood thirst and madness in his eyes as the dragon made its dive, unintentionally exposing its throat to the reptile on the ground.
What followed later, had Eribonyxtaliff been a real living, breathing dragon, would've gotten the twins killed. King(or so thought everyone) bellowed in anger as he found himself unable to dodge from the head of the airborne beast due to his bond with Rex to go in for the throat of said beast.
Rex hadn't recovered from his initial surprise when he was confronted by Salem, and the boy simply nodded at the catfolk, eyes unfocused. As Salem spoke Rex relayed the message, receiving a worrying silence from his twin before a grunt and even odder, a clueless 'What?' from King.
Hiding his emotion at King's reaction as best as he could, Rex smiled and said simply, "Done," as Salem finished his end.
The boy then looked down at Aphrodite and grinned, holding out his finger to her.
"Still in one piece."

Aphrodite decided to climb onto his finger. "Is it ok if I sit with you?" She had long discarded her notes, and honestly was a little scared. Sitting with someone larger than herself seemed to somehow comfort the wasp.
'Hehe... that's ok I'll take your notes. This is very interesting.' Smiled the grey plushie as he quietly picked up the pencil and jotted down the notes that Aphrodite hadn't gotten.

Salem's expression softened then feeling bad about the fact that Rex had been dragged along for such a scary ride by King. "You sure you're alright kiddo?" He reached over to gently ruffle the tall twin's hair, smiling softly. "Told you guys that some of these guys weren't very nice. Anyway..." He glared up at the dragon before continuing his lesson.
"Some of the abilities black dragons gain are the ability to breath under water, corrupt water, and charm reptiles. Like all dragons he also has a breath weapon. In this case, it's a line of acid. All dragons also gain the ability, over time, to naturally use magick. Black dragons in particular learn 'darkness', 'insect plague', and 'plant growth'. They also gain a fear affect at the young adult stage, but sense this is an illusion, it isn't present. Um... Lastly, how big these guys are in all of their stages."
"At Wyrmling they are 4' long, 1' tall, with a wingspan of 8', and weigh 5lbs. Very young black dragons are 8' long, 2' tall, with a wingspan of 16' and weigh 40lbs. Young ones are 16' long, 4' tall, a wingspan of 24' and weigh 320lbs. This continues on through juvenile. When they hit young adult they are now 31' long, 7' tall, a wingspan of 36' and weigh 1.25 tons as are adults. Mature adults measure in at 55' long, 12' tall, with a wingspan of 60', and weigh 10 tons. They stay at this size through the ages old, very old, and ancient. Finally Wyrms and great wyrms come in at 85' long, 16' tall, a wingspan of 80', and weigh 80 tons!"
He stopped for a short moment to allow anyone taking notes to catch up.

"Are you okay?" asked Kunjiro in a worried tone, before turning back to Salem and the dragon. The boy was confused acout what Salem had been saying, but he decided to borrow the notes from someone later. He was paying more attention on his friend than Salem and whatever the teacher said did not enter the boy's brain.

"Of course, Di." Rex smiled, secretly glad to have a comforting friend close. Glancing down at Kunjiro, the boy's happiness doubled - he was surrounded with caring friends, and it more than drove what happened with the black dragon earlier out of his mind. "I'm okay, Kunjiro."
Rex feigned surprise then hurt as Salem ruffled his hair , then laughed at the attention, feeling quite overwhelmed. "Don't worry, I'm okay Mr Salem." He said, beaming at him, while at the same time running his free hand through his hair to 'unruffle' it.
Just then, the start of a low rumble prompted Rex to stuff the last half of his sub into his twin's jaws, resulting in a joyful purr as the tyrannosaurus rex munched on happily. Rex sighed, grinning at his brother's simplicity before turning his attention to the lesson on hand.
"Plant Growth? Black dragons know Plant Growth?" The boy queried, cocking an eyebrow at the strange fact. And they say black dragons are evil...

Kunjiro smiled and sighed in relief after hearing that, but his mind was haunted by the dragon's action earlier. He shriveled and sat nearer to his friend. When Salem explained about the black dragon the mushroom kid tilted his head in confusion, not understanding a single word about them at all. The only thing he knew about the black dragon was that all of them were very big, and mean as well.

Aphrodite merely got comfortable in Rex's hand, smiling. Raising her hand she cocked her head to the side. "Why do they like to sapphires and is it true that dragons when they get old eat their hoard?"

Salem opened his mouth only for the dragon to answer for him.
"Sapphires are our favorites because they are blue, the most beautiful color in the world! So many beautiful things are the color blue. The sky, rivers, the ocean, lakes, sapphires, me..." The dragon smirked upon saying this, lifting his head up proudly. Yes. He was quite the handsome one wasn't he? Or so he thought. From the look of things he wasn't going to be swayed from such a thought either. "I personally consumed my hoard when I entered Twilight. We do this so no one could take what is rightfully ours after we have passed. We work very hard for thousands of years to collect our hoards only to have it taken away as soon as we pass? How would you like it if all of your things were stolen after you died? We consume our hoard so it will be safe inside of us after we have departed."
Salem tried not to laugh as he all but saw his the dragon's ego inflating itself more then it already was. He managed to keep it to a pleasent smile instead. "There ya go Aph. Any other questions for Lothaenorixius or shall I move on to the next dragon?"

Kunjiro nodded, relieved to hear that myconids are mushroom people, not a dragon's meal. As Salem explained blue dragons the boy tried his best to remember, for he did not bring anything for the lesson. The most difficult thing for him to remember are the heights and weights of the dragon. "No, sir," said him, feeling more and more excited to see the next dragon.

Aphrodite merely bit her lip looking up at the green dragon, swearing she had seen that smile somewhere... maybe in a nightmare.
Al looked up from the notes he was writing. How fascinating these dragons were, he knew that these creatures could only be compared to the chimera that lived in his world, but dragons are a creation of god... not by a man who thought himself to be one. Maybe their magick would be the key to get his body back.

Rex, too, nodded, never prying his eyes off the dragons. A question slowly formed in his head and the boy would dearly like to voice it, but... he thought it would be better to ask Salem after the lesson, wary of what the dragons would have done had he voiced them out now. Though of curse, they were but an illusion.
And so, the boy chose to remain passive.

Sense no questions came, Salem continued on to the next dragon. "Next is the red dragon. Her name is Syzdothyx. Red dragons are the most covertous of all dragons, forever seeking to increase their treasure hoards. They are exeptionally vain, which is reflected in their proud bearing and disdainful expression.
The small scales of a wyrmling red dragon are a bright glossy scarlet, making the dragon easily spotted by predators and hunters, so it stays underground and does not venture outside until it is more able to take care of itself. Toward the end of young age, the scales turn a deeper red, and the glossy texture is replaced by a smooth, dull finish. As the dragon grows older, the scales become large, thick, and as strong as metal. The neck frill and wings are an ash blue or purple-gray toward the edges, becoming darker with age. The pupils of a red dragon fade as it ages; the oldest red dragons have eyes that resemble molten lava orbs.
Red dragons lair in large caves that extend deep into the earth, which shimmer with the heat of their bodies and are marked by a sulfurous, smokey odor. However, they always have a high perch nearby from which to haughtily survey their territory, which they consider to be everything in sight. This high perch sometimes intrudes upon the territory of a silver dragon, and for this reason red dragons and silver dragons are often enemies.
Red dragons are meat-eaters by preference, and their favorite food is a human or elven youth. Sometimes they charm villagers into regularly sacrificing maidens to them.
Because red dragons are so confident, they seldom pause to appraise an adversary. On spotting a target, they make a snap decision whether to attack, using one of many strategies worked out ahead of time. A red dragon lands to attack small, weak creatures with its claws and bite rather than obliterating them with its breath weapon, so as not to destroy any treasure they might be carrying.
A red dragon has one type of breath weapon, a cone of fire. They also have the ability to use magick spells such as Locate Object, Suggestion, Find The Path, Discern Location, and Eyebite. They are also immune to fire, but vulnerable to cold." Salem stopped once again and tried to ignore the looks he was sure the dragon behind him was sure to be giving him.Sure enough he had gotten his share of death glares and disgruntled sniffs from the colossal dragoness. Still she held her head up, chin high as she looked down upon the students. With the way she looked at them it was hard to tell whether she wanted then to think she was going to eat every last one or convince them she was a Goddess.
