Holding my last breath,☾ Annie shook her book before wiping the excess dust off. 'Maybe he's not all bad...' She thought with a small smile as she flisked it open again. She closed it as her boss came over. She stashed her book quickly. "What happened?" He demanded of her. "I'm not sure, something was thrown through the window. Probably a rock or something..." She lied casually.

Annie yawned as she stepped out into the fading light that signaled that night was coming. She shivered. She always hated walking at nighttime, it creeped her out. Digging her hands deep into her pockets she started off down the road.

Mephiles had spent the rest of the day training ontop the roof of a building. You know--situps, push-ups....the usual workout routine. Finishing, he stretched, walking to the edge and glancing over it. Like he had earlier that day, he spotted Annie.█

Holding my last breath,☾ Annie kept waking, once again, not noticing the fact she was being watched. She pulled out her book as she passed a few men. She could smell the alcohol from where she was now. Turning she planned to make an arch around them and avoid them, when one reachout and and grabbed her arm.
"Hey darlin'" The man slurred words made Annie pulled her arm away violently.
"I'm sorry, I have to go." She said bluntly as she attempted to take off again. He grabbed her again. "Please let go.."

Holding my last breath,☾ The man smirked. "Na," He said pulling on her arm. It was a tiny tug, nothing more, but Annie still went over like a ton of bricks yelling as she hit the ground. 'Dammit!' she thought as the man grabbed some of her hair and pulled her head back. "Could you please let me go?" She asked hopefully. Her answer was to only have her hair tugged tighter before being thrown against the wall and pinned there.
"Come on darlin', lets have some fun...."

Annie sank down the wall to the ground as the man rolled around in pain, blood going everywhere. Three of his more sober mates came runnng over. They took one look at Mephiles before grabbing their mate and sprinting off.
