Coralie had been watching the possible fight eagerly, perhaps a little too eagerly. She hadn't looked like she had wanted to get involved, as fighting really wasn't her thing, but she had nothing against watching it. She didn't know either of the students well enough to feel a desire to help, not that she would have been helpful anyway. She had been content doing that, slacking on her work really, when Morton grabbed her sleeve.

She raised her eyebrows, but did not object. In fact, his sudden concern distracted her briefly, because she found it curious. "What?" she asked. She didn't see anything to be alarmed about, as the conflict didn't involve them. And Red was there, although maybe that should have been a concern. Once she left, however, she passed a sideways glance at Morton. "You wanna try and skip out?" She didn't seem particularly interested in the idea, but she did offer it for his sake.

Oblivious was right, in her case. She was focused on the task she was doing and the scouting out the area, looking for possible ways to escape. Hands full of even more blankets (thankfully none of the super smelly and nasty ones), LW was not expecting a hand to grab her. The she-wolf jumped a little and almost dropped the blankets. Her violet gaze whipped around to see who had grabbed her, hopping it wasn't a gnome or Red or...something.

To her relief (and surprise) it was a boil she recognized, but failed to pull up a name for. "LW." She supplied with a blink. "Umm, alright...?" He was acting weird. Finally, thanks to Morton, she noticed the drama up on the cauldrons. Oh. She watched and sighed when Red took control of things. Turning to the gargoyle, "Thanks." LW smiled and noticed Coralie too, who she also smiled at and said, "Hi."

Ren had tried to skip out of detention.

Or rather, he had just tried to plain, ole' not go, period. What exactly was exciting about detention, anyway? Just a bunch of random students thrown together because they'd done something "wrong." It was irritating to have to make the effort to actually go and be...productive.

Well. Sort of productive. Ren was never really fully productive, especially if he didn't have to be. However, he supposed he should at least attempt to make an effort.

Maybe. Or maybe not. But somehow he found himself in the midst of the school's laundry room, hands in his pockets as he surveyed the scene around him.

Well. It COULD be worse.

Ren definitely recognized several, if not all, of the students there (he caught a flash of familiar scarlet hair, and then another flash of emerald hair that made him snort). However, there were two students standing somewhat off to the side that he also recognized, and he made his way across the room towards them, sidestepping what appeared to be a rather interesting fight.

"Yo," Ren said, raising his hand in greeting to Coralie and Morton. "What's going on?"

When Red left and Morton was allowed to finally breathe out, he turned to scan the room. There seemed to be no other drama unfolding and most students were going back to their previous tasks. As such, he lowered himself down and picked up some blankets off the floor, "No, not really," his green gaze shifted so he could look at Coralie over the blankets, "I'm usually not contrary to adventure, but right now I rather not risk it," he made motion towards the door, "I've been watching and I've already seen a handful of students try and fail. I rather not get into more trouble right this instant. It'll make getting back to more... fun stuff later much more difficult, don't you think?" he was slowly recovering from the scare, but the smile he offered his friend was slightly forced.

He figured, that in a way... he was like Calder. He couldn't help his nature as much as the Kelpie couldn't help his; Morton's sort of demanded he protect others, and when 'others' couldn't be found, things would do. He'd been known for guarding ledges and door frames. Even boulders, actually.

"Right. LW, okay," he nodded, managing to point at himself, "Morton," he said, then looked at the reaper, waiting for her to introduce herself, "I'm afraid we're sort of to blame for this lil ordeal. We weren't expecting to be caught. Didn't really think a lil innocent game of truth or dare would warrant... this," it hadn't been THAT innocent a game, but then again, as far as Morton was concerned, it had? After all, he just didn't think the along the same lines as other boils, and he had enjoyed the one kiss he'd gotten. From LW's perspective though, it must've been like the gargoyle had been attending a different game altogether though. A pause, "Does LW stand for something?"

It was right around then that Ren joined them. Morton vaguely recalled the other boil from ToD, and he made a mild saluting gesture with his head, "Apart from all the dirty laundry, you mean?" he motioned towards the door, "Red just escorted a student that tried to drown er... another student, out. I sort of dragged these two out of the way," a pause, "Red said something about coming back soon," he tossing a few blankets at the gryphon for him to catch, "Here, lend a hand, man? The sooner we get this done, the sooner we can leave, I bet."

This wasn't fun at all. Seriously. Why laundry? Holly had barely even done anything at the Truth or Dare game. All she did was sit around because the darn other students would barely talk to her. Okay she did participate in a dare. But, come on! All she did was eat something and being a ghost that was not really odd at all. Though that taste lingered for a bit which was strange but it was gone now!

She noticed that all of the other students did show up for the detention though. What kind of things would they make you do if you did not show up? Holly shuddered at that thought, probably something truly terrifying. Didn't she see some kid, that lazy demon, sitting in a corner in the office. Wonder what things they would make him do.

Anyway, back to this darn work. Wait, did the teacher leave earlier? Were people trying to skip out on this? Hmm. Holly decided to try and skip her way out. Hopefully she'd make it out and not get caught like the rest.

((Woot, 3! I've over 250 words between the posts in here.))
Holly snuck out like the fox she was, right out from under the other's noses. Success!

A little of the tension in her shoulders eased when Red had left to escort the student out. She couldn't recall his name, but he had been at the Truth or Dare gathering all right. That much the she-wolf remembered. Tail dragging as much as she seemed to be right now, LW looked back to the boil that had saved her from the trouble of walking right into that mess.

"Morton, huh?" Her brow furrowed and it clicked before he said it. Ah that was right! He and the reaper, Coralie had been the ones that posted the flyers around. "Not really." LW said to Morton with a smile. "You two may have offered everyone the chance to come have a bit of fun. But it was we as individuals that chose to go." Shrugging, she gave them both a smile. "So, it really is all of our faults."

A surprised look crossed her face at Morton's question. He was one of the first to actually ask her that. She couldn't help but just blink at him for several seconds before realizing that was rude. "Oh! Oh, umm. Yes. LW does stand for something." She shifted her weight one foot to another. "It stands for Little-Wolfe." The she wolf murmured. Such a cliche name. It wasn't that she didn't like her name. LW just felt weird in addressing it.

Familiar sweet tones reached her ears and the she-wolf perked up a little. "In other words," LW said to Ren, "you haven't missed much." Taking a step closer after Morton had tossed him some blankets, LW whacked Ren with her tail. "You're late, you lazy gryphon." She teased lightly before turning to look at the cauldrons again. "Guess it is safe to carry these loads up there?" Her gaze was on Morton, making sure he felt it was alright.

Stir stick? Who needed a stir stick when you could manipulate water? Hadiyya, being a marid, and quite gifted at that, held just such an ability, and she was employing it now. Sure, she was holding the stick, but only to keep up appearances. If anyone cared to take a closer look, they'd notice the palm of one hand facing the side of mammoth cauldron, with fingertips poised towards it's pewter side. The water within the vat was churning gently, seemingly of it's own accord. The best bit about the entire arrangement was, being so close to so much water, she felt down right energized.

Of course, when chaos had seemed imminent in breaking out, the churning had ceased as the water djinn's eyes narrowed upon the normal sweet kelpi boy. Instead, she'd turned her attention to the bleach water within the cauldron he was attempting to drown Miss Lizzy in, ready to move it away from the other demon's face should she need to.

When it appeared she would have to intervene she gave a flex of power, though the resulting dip in water was late. Just as quickly the problem was resolved and Calder was being escorted back to the office. "Unwise.." she mused to herself in response, returning her attention to her own chore.

She did spare a glance to Junko and Christof, making sure they were alright. Then turned somber, swimming blues over to Riley and poor G behind her. Brows lowering in something of a meaningful look before thinking really hard at the other demon ghoul. You both alright over there? She'd heard rumors about what had happened in the other bathroom, horror stories. Somehow she she didn't hold much faith in them all walking out of their without a little more mayhem breaking loose then a water trances kelpi attempting to drown people. Smiling cooly, the marid lifted one hand over her cauldron and flexed her fingers, giving the mindflay, if she continued watching, a little show of dancing water. Descretely, of course.

After having stirred the laundry pot for a good long while, Raziel's arms were starting to cramp up. They weren't so much tired as 'bored' of the same motion over and over. Getting down from the step-ladder, Raziel glanced around before he spotted Barth, the only friendly face he knew at the moment.

It appeared as though Barth was sorting through the blankets, deciding which went to be bleached and which only needed soap. Walking over to Barth, Raziel could feel the blood circulating back into his arms, "Hey Barth!" He said somewhat loudly, while moving to pick up a blanket and toss it towards the bleach pile.

One thing Riley certainly did not expect to hear was a voice coming through -her- mind, so when she heard Yaya's soft tones she looked just a little startled. She had been holding up a pin, but lowered it and the blanket as she looked around. She spotted Yaya at the cauldrons, and her eyes crinkled slightly.

I think so. Giving him something to do is helping calm his nerves, I think. She looked up at the boil, trying to gauge his current emotional stress, before returning her eyes to Yaya. How about you? Are you all right? I would not have pegged you to choose stirring, it looks so.. tedious.

"Hi, Raziel," Barth said civilly, looking very carefully at the laundry piles.

He shifted one laundry lump with his foot. Sorting it, sort of. He hadn't picked up a piece of laundry that hadn't been shoved at him yet.

"On transport duty too, are you?"

He looked longingly towards the door again. The teacher was taking a long time. Why was he so bad at fighting ninjas? Demons should be good at ninjas, shouldn't they? Well, most demons anyway. His brand of demon was not particularly good at fighting anything.

It wasn't long before Christof returned with yet another massive load of rancid bedding, dumping it down between the small blue boil and the sloth demon, the hunchback glowering when it seemed the last pile had not reduced very much. Really, Barth? Really? He couldn't do anything on his own! Arms crossing, the hunchback glowered at his psudo-Master as he now came to think of him. This was not how they finished their task and got OUT of here.

As Riley's voice eased through her mind she couldn't help but smile. It seems so, but I've a lovely little trick. Delicate fingers fell away from the stirring stick and showed it doing a fine job of mixing the cauldron's contents without her help. Or at least, with very very little help. It took far less effort to exert enough concentration to swirl the water within her cauldron, then it would have to actually stir it. Of course, she wasn't about to broadcast this fact, and after a few solo rotations replaced her hand upon the handle.

It's good he's calming down, poor thing seems most distressed. She paused, glancing at him again, then turned a slightly more serious face back to her fellow demon. This all seems too easy, don't you agree? Dark lips pursed. Not that I'm complaining, but considering what happened the last time students were given detention, I have a bad feeling that things won't remain so peaceful. Peaceful was probably a poor word, but to the marid it seemed oddly fitting.

As Riley watched Yaya carefully, she continued to place blankets on the line by touch. When she realized Yaya was controlling the water, one of the blankets fell from her hands by mistake, dropping directly onto Christof's head. She looked down at Christof, her eyes slitting in guilt. Sorry, dear. She murmured, before returning to Yaya.

That is very helpful. You chose the right task, to match your abilities. Very clever. She cocked her head slightly, reaching down for another blanket. Too easy? She questioned.

Ah, there was the mention of another detention, one she hadn't been privy to. No one had answered her the first time, but perhaps Yaya would grace her with a response.

What did happen last time, Yaya?

Clever indeed. Hadiyya was a firm believer in working smarter, not harder. She preferred not working at all, but those rare occasions, such as now, where she found herself with no other choice, she was very good at working out the easiest solution. Oh yes. I simply refuse to such a thing as manual labor dampen my day. A twitch of her finger made the steaming water slosh a bit.

Honestly I'm not entirely sure. I wasn't there myself, and have only hear rumors, but based on how G and Calder reacted to the prospect of receiving detention, I'm left to assume the rumors are true. One in particular made mention of a soap beast. She hoped she was wrong, but didn't place much faith on that hope. It's almost enough to make sneaking out of here a worth while endevour. She'd have likely tried that already if not Junko. Yaya wasn't about to leave the poor ghoul here if she actually did manage to figure out a way past the guarding gnomes.

Ok, a way that didn't require downing said gnomes. Been there, done that.
