She merely shrugged off the 'not tonight?' that Ren repeated. "I have been known to have my...moments." Her tail flicked and curled lazily along her feet as she pulled her knees up again to wrap her arms lightly around them. The she-wolf tilted her head so she could see him as well as the others beginning to claim spots to sit.

So far, she did not know anyone else here. Although her list of acquaintances was small still. Too bad neither of the two she knew well were here. Oh well. Great time to start making some more friends, right? LW still had that amused expression about her. "'Bout the same here." She said with a smile. "I ain't a light weight, but I'm not uber resistant either."

Glancing around again, she made a gesture to take in everyone sitting (or standing still) around them. "Know anybody else here?" She asked.

Ashford had made sure, for his first foray into social interaction at Amityville Academy, that he was dressed to the nines. Possibly to the tens. The large helmet atop his shoulders was wrought from heavy iron. The apron, a dull grey and stained with blood. The Great Knife, strapped to his back-- Ash preferred to carry it rather than desummon it. Last, but far from least, his trusted black Oxford loafers, polished to a shine.

So Ash trudged to the gathering he'd read (and heard) so much about. Posters had been plastered across the school, and while he would normally be oblivious to such things, to find one in the bathroom of all places was certainly enough to pique the reaper's interest.

Upon arriving, Ashford cast glances about from underneath his helm, only able to see most people from the torso down. Here he was, among strangers, at the edge of a forest, looking (unbeknownst to him) like some creature of the night. Fortunately, so did half of the other students around, if not a higher percentile, so he was among at least the familiar. From what he could tell, in the dim, no one that was also part of Pyramidkind.

It was, quite honestly, a relief. He was in no mood for the politics associated with his people, the petty politics and heavily used guilt trip tactics. No thank you, for the love of anything terrible and unholy.

He'd acquired some finger food, tucking some of it away into his apron's pocket, taking a seat next to the green, hulking figure by the nearest open seat. He was crawling with other figures, but hopefully none of them would want to claim the seat he'd chosen as his own for this...event. Gathering. ...Thing.

"Hope this isn't taken?" he asked, voice reverberating slightly through his helm, a little rusty from disuse. he'd have to do this talking thing more frequently, he guessed, if that were to go away.

With the helmet clad student lumbering past him, Nyyrikki thought twice about his question and decided he was better left just finding a seat and making friends with the nearest students. The two hugging girls seemed like a positive start, but perhaps that was his overactive teenage mind. He quickly slid to a seat beside Junko and began to settle himself, trying to get his bearings straight among so many unknown students.

Not that he was exactly out of his element. He was pretty comfortable in the large gathering. His hood shadowed his face as his orange eyes scanned the crowd. This was the first real party-type gathering he'd been to since arriving at school. He was looking forward to the chance to meet some people and possibly make a friend. He was sorely lacking in those currently.

Claire was late as usual, but she figured nobody would notice. The posters had a attracted quite a crowd, and there were a few faces she recognized... There was that ghoul Amrita (who she was so tactless around), Lizzy (who gave her chips) and---wait... BARTH? Claire was genuinely shocked that he had the energy to pull himself down here.
"What are YOU doing here?" Claire asked him, eyes reduced to slits.
She casually pulled out a slice of pizza from her shoulder bag and started chewing it slowly.
"You didn't get someone to carry you, right? Because you're heavy. I know from experience." she muttered, mouth filled with pizza.

What was the game, anyway? Claire was mostly there to protect the students from pink elephants. Too bad Thackery wasn't there.

"Dragged," Barth clarified. "not carried."

It was nice of Claire to be concerned about his dignity as a Sloth demon, but he felt it was important to reassure her his dignity was still intact.

He gestured vaguely to Christof. ...Wherever Christof had gone.

Riley caught the wave from the familiar demon, and both of her hands rose up to curl her fingers back in return. She felt a lot more comfortable in this grouping now that she realized she knew several of the students who were attending this 'game'. She hoped there were teams. She would claim all the best students for herself.

The game was all but forgotten when Riley bent slightly forward to put a name to the voice that had just asked G if the seat beside him was taken - and found no face at all. There was a giant triangle helmet boy instead, sporting a blessedly large weapon and an overall unique outfit. Riley was captivated. She didn't respond for G (since the question was directed at him) but immediately decided to strike up a conversation with the unique looking student. He looked dangerous. That was the best kind.

I haven't seen you around before. She murmured into his mind in lieu of a greeting, You must be new. Your attire is of great interest to me. She gestured to his helmet, wondering what gruesome horrors could lie underneath. How exciting. My name is Riley. She held her hand out for a shake.

If this had been earlier in the year Junko would have been worried by the way Yaya was draping all over her, but now she just smiled and leaned into it, petting her friend's arm and adjusting nicely. She was used to it by now. She settled comfortably against her friend even as she very nearly completely wrapped herself around Junko, glancing down at the energy drink. Oh? She was drinking those now? "Do those help you, Yaya?" She asked, tilting her head enough to peer at the ghoul on her shoulder.

"If you two keep snuggling like this the boils around you are going to get the wrong idea." Huh? Junko frowned and looked very confused by what She was saying, tilting her head against Yaya's. Weirdo. Oh hey! More people were sitting with them now! The avarice demon was greeted with a warm smile, waving a hand to her.

"Hello! I'm Junko, and this is Yaya." She pat the arm of the ghoul draping on her. She would have introduced her newer companion but she was unsure of the ghoul's name, or anything about her other than she had adorable PJs and had never heard of truth or dare. At Yaya's question Junko looked uncertain, once again wondering if maybe coming to this was such a good idea. Would..would it really get as bad as she'd heard it could get? "Thank you, Yaya. I hope I do alright, I'd hate to lose.." But there was no way Junko would do something she wasn't terribly comfortable with. Junko had her limits and she didn't intend on pushing them too far. Suddenly a boil was heading their way and she waved to him as well. How bold of him! But Junko saw nothing wrong with it. They were told to sit in a circle, so he was just filling in space!

"Hello~. I don't think I've seen you around before." Or the other ghoul...maybe they were new? But how new were they?

Her pizza was finished.
Claire turned around to look at what Barth was gesturing towards.
"Hmm... Patchwork or hunchback? I presume that he is of one of those specioues? Or both? Is hunchback a specioues?" Claire was so proud of herself, using such sophisticated words. Although, she wasn't certain that 'specioues' was a word... Maybe the correct word was 'species'.
Too late to correct myself now!
"Uhm... Barth... What are we playing? And also, how do you know that boil? Do you mean to say you've actually socialized? I'll have to write home and tell dad. I'm amazed." She shook her head.

Gargantuan was busy trying to keep up with all the new-and-old faces mingling about, his big head swiveling too and fro even as his arms kept themselves comfortably wrapped around Riley. Everyone was happy, and that was good!

The sudden feel of arms around him made him sit straighter, but he easily recognized the spider demon who had a hold on him. "Liiiiizzzyyyyy." Came the rough croon, and he did his best to nuzzle at her hair before the socialite went to visit her other friends as well. Oh, and there was Calder over there, too! Now if Nuk and Puppy showed up, it really would be a party!

As the strange, tall newcomer approached, the swamp beast tilted his head owlishly, and would... well, lean a little to more or less experimentally press his face against the metal helmet. "Nope. Hullo." His tail thumped a happy acknowledgment, seconds before he dragged his tongue quickly over the metal. Just to taste. Just a little bit.

"Am G. And Riley!" He held the girl up a little more as though to show her off, happy to share friends. "What your name?"

The purple ghoul would likely be disappointed by Ashford's nature. He was all bark and no bite, more often than not.

To feel the curl of another's thoughts in his mind perturbed him. It felt like an invasion of privacy more than anything, a subtle opening of a door in his brain that, as far as Ash was concerned, was never to be opened. He whipped his head around, the metallic helmet following heavily, trying to find the source of that crooning voice inside his mind. He let out an echoing hrum, meeting the slim violet hand with his own-- clad in white latex gloves. A fresh pair.

"I..." How does one, exactly, react to ...their mind being probed?

"I am a recent addition to Amityville's roster," the Reaper said with slightly more resolve, shaking her hand firmly. Maybe a little bit too much-- to carry his weapon, strength was a required natural ability. Ashford smoothed down his charcoal grey apron, readjusting himself and attempting to appear slightly more dignified than he felt. Opening his mouth to speak, the reaper was interrupted by his helmet being readjusted by a rather eager tongue and face pressed to it.

He staggered back, a little. Ashford was tall, but this hulking beast (that smelled vaguely...damp?) was at least a head taller than him-- and certainly wider in the shoulders. That was saying something.

"I am Ashford," he said, stiffly, and blinked languidly under his helm. Depending on the angle, it glimmered the red of dried blood or sapphire blues, with a number of purple shades in between.

"I have only arrived this last week..." he trailed off, awkwardly shifting his hands, unsure what to do with them after his initial handshake. This great green goliath did not seem eager to greet in a more traditional manner.

---

Watching all the students that seemed to have gathered around, Morton grinning, turning to Coralie only briefly to snort, "I dunno. I don't mind your hat half as much as you do," a pause as he considered his own words, taking his mouth with a bony finger, "Then again... I'm not the one wearing him 24/7, so I guess you should know better," as the reaper introduced him, he lifted an arm, as if to indicate to himself, then allowed her to continue on.

He'd personally never played truth or dare, and he wasn't really sure how much fun it'd be. Morton was basically going with Coralie's word that this would be horribly interesting (when the reaper said something would be fun, she was usually right); it was clear that he was merely along for the ride, and that while he'd help her pull this off, the real brains of the operation was the ghoul, "Well," he told Ren, "I couldn't really find any booze. I did find some contraband candy - I figured that was the next best thing," or it was as far as the skeletal gargoyle was concerned, he reached behind him where he'd placed a large bag upon landing earlier and then tossed it in the middle of the... awkward looking circle of students, "Help yourself."

Amusingly enough, poor Carthusia hadn't managed any better than he had on the alcohol sector. Not like it mattered; Morton rarely, if ever ate, and when he did, he liked candy thank you very much. He'd tried to eat fleshier things once - it'd been an extremely messy endeavor and he'd sworn against repeating the experience, "Well!" he looked around, voice booming, "I think there's more than enough of us; Let's get this show on the road, shall we?" that said, he flopped himself down on the floor and turned towards the reaper, whom was admittedly, the first one to go. His gaze only shifted as Colette, her reindeer in tow, "Er... I'm pretty sure it can stay," he blinked at the glowing nose, then shook his head; he'd never seen one of those! But then again, he'd missed the whole Christmas town raid - he'd slept in when the train went out and... yeah. Pity. His head turned to LW, "NEXT best thing to booze. M'sorry 'bout that," he tilted his head as he regarded her seat of choice, then smirked, "Nice tail."

When Israfel arrive, Morton's head snapped towards him, "Hey! Where'd you get that? I looked everywhere!" a pause, and then he shook his head, "Wait, no, nevermind. I don't think I want to know," that way he could claim partial innocence if they were discovered (not that it would have helped his case), "Come on over, man!" ah, but they were getting horribly sidetracked, weren't they?

Finally looking at Coralie he motioned around them, "Wanna start us off, Cora? You were the first to arrive, so you should begin!" not that he thought she'd have any trouble doing just that.

Holding the invisible mass in her arms, the Reaper turned back around to face the group and frowned. She was glad she could keep Dasher around and even mumbled, "Thank you," to the boil who addressed her, but.. something else had bothered her.

The frown was more because she looked at Barth, and he was already talking to someone else. Another ghoul. To be specific, two. Colette's eyes narrowed. Man, she realized she must be awfully forgettable. Or maybe uninteresting... unimportant? But, uh.. oh yeah. She was supposed to be ignoring him. It shouldn't matter if he diverted his attention then, because she wasn't supposed to be paying attention to what he was doing.

Deciding to distract herself, Colette remembered two boils had just been in a predicament over some problem concerning Dasher and her, and she looked for the two. The fact that the patchwork boil was free gave the ghoul and unnerving feeling, and she decided it would be best to avoid him for awhile. In fact, she vaguely remembered him hitting Barth with some sort of stick during the Christmas fiasco. Maybe he had a violence problem. The large, green boil on the other hand.. well, she should probably thank him. Though, she was pretty sure she heard him mention something about wanting to eat others.. Er.. a thank you couldn't take that long.

Making her way over to G, who she observed to be connecting with many friends - and that made the ghoul feel all the more awkward as a stranger, - she stood before the boil and coughed, trying to bring his attention to her in case he hadn't noticed.

"Uh.. Thanks for stopping him, the patchwork boil," she said nervously before looking around to take note of his location. Colette held up the invisible mass and scratched under Dasher's chin, making at least his head become involuntarily visible. "I'm sure Dasher is thankful too." However, the reindeer was several notches less thankful than Colette. He in fact stared at the hulking boil before him with wide, intimidated and surprised eyes.

When it is your turn to ask truth or dare, you will have 24 hours to post without us moving on. Same goes if your character is ASKED for truth or dare. If you get skipped we'll assume you were...ah, attacked by a squirrel briefly or are busy making out with someone or something. Please try to only ask people that are online at the time you are, if you can, just to keep things going. I realize that might not work, but do try! Also, please try to uh...not post so many times that we jump a million pages in 24 hours xD Can be a bit...crazy. OKAY NOW WE'LL BEGIN. ))

Coralie was glad of the crowd and the bustle. It was loud and lively, even for this time of night and despite perhaps some nervousness some of the other students might have felt. But it all had her grinning widely, if crookedly. She passed Morton a sideways glance, the kind of look that showed she had a glint in her eye. "He wouldn't have found all this quite as pleasant as I do," she said, but apart from that she nodded in agreement to his loud call to everyone that they were to get started.

"Yeah, I'll start, but I hope you're going to be passing that around," she said to Israfel in regard to the alcohol. "I'd really like some of that." It probably wasn't the best idea, though. Coralie was a lightweight when it came to alcohol, she had learned that a long time ago with her siblings. It didn't mean, though, that she didn't enjoy drinking it.

Hmmmm. She passed a glance around the circle and finally said, "You! Sorry, I didn't catch your name." She was bad with names anyway, but she was pointing right at Claire. "Truth or Dare?"
PostPosted: Mon Jan 10, 2011 5:41 pm

"Me? I'm Claire... What do you---" She glanced around the circle. Assuming (for some reason) that the girl was talking about personalities, she replied "Daring?" she raised her eyebrows and looked away, severely confused. She then started to eat out of her confusion. She was in the mood for a maggot-pop, so she took one out of her bag and started chewing on it.

Everyone seemed to be staring at her. Do they want a maggot-pop, or something?
"This is my last one, sorry guys."

He turned his head to Junko with a shadow of a smile, looking her over more closely, now that he had the availability. She was fairly pretty, but he felt like the innocence sort of radiated off of her. Perhaps he would find himself to be pleasantly incorrect, however.

"I'm new. Moved into my dorm a couple days ago." Said dorm was sadly undecorated currently, and just the thought of spending the entire night in it made him cringe. Nothing like the new room smell to make you want to get the hell out and do something fun. "I'm Nyyrikki." He held out a marked hand casually.

His attention was grabbed by the assumed "leaders" of this shindig. Seemed like things would be heating up soon.
