Verde at last felt that the pain was minor enough to ignore. He had to try again, even if it was a trap and even if it killed him. He snuck out of the room, then climbed out an open window. He began to sprint towards the wall.

Scarlet watched as he sprinted to the wall. She sighed and got up. She finished her ice cream and walked out to the party. Jeff came up. "He's escaping again." he said urgently. Scarlet shook her head. "Let him." she said and walked to the dance floor.

Something was wrong. He hadn't been shocked yet. The collar had been the thing shocking him, but surely they weren't going to let him go just like that. Then it hit him. She was letting him escape. How disgusting! Glaring at the house, he vowed that before he escaped, he will have killed Scarlet. He began to walk back to the house.

Scarlet danced with some of her friends in the living room. The music blared loudly.

Walking into the kitchen, Verde grabbed a platter of food, then walked into the living room to serve food to the guests.

Scarlet looked to see Verde serving food. She stopped and walked over to him. "What are you still doing here? What do you want a ride back home? I let you go." she said. She felt a bit upset that he was still here.

He looked her in the eye, his eyes told her to leave him alone. He remaned silent, then walked off to serve more guests.

Scarlet felt irritated. She screamed get out and everyone soon left. She was pissed. She stomped upstairs and everyone looked at Verde. Jeff walked up. "What did you do? Why are you still here?" he asked.

Jeff glared at him. "What? Can't accept the fact that she actually let you go?" he asked.
Meanwhile Scarlet was sitting on her bed with a bottle of wine and a glass. She felt upset. Him being here really bothered her. It made her feel upset to see him because she knew he didn't like being here. So why was he here?

Verde turned on his heels, walking off to his room in silence. The collar and bracelet were still there. He put the collar back on, then grabbed the bracelet. He walked over to Scarlet's room and knocked on her door.

Scarlet drank the rest of the glass she had poured. "What?" she asked. She put the glass down and laid on her bed.

Verde held the bracelet out at arm's length, waiting for her to take it from him. He stood silent, he would not say a word, no matter what happened.

Scarlet looked at him. She slapped it out of his hand. "No. Go home." she said firmly. She curled up and hid under her covers. She assumed her harsh attitude would make him leave. She barley knew him and he could already get to her.

Verde grabbed the bracelet again, then held it by the bed. He remained silent, but made sure she could see him.
