The shadow... just yelled at him? His head spun, he had to be careful, apparently he did not wake up too well when caring for some one who is sick. Caring for... oh, right, taking care of, must be what he meant. Still, he just.. wanted to stand out in the cold for a bit, then he'd bring her some food or something. Eat something she said, she must be hungry... he'd get some. And something about snow...in a basket...? Another foal? He had to get food if she had a sick foal to feed too!

"Don't make me flatten you bub.. you're already in deep water taking the mistress's little miss out and keeping her all night long now lay down, take the food from the basket there and eat..." She didn't want to force a sick stallion but she would if she really needed to.

"Will you just lay back down and eat! You're going to fix yourself into a worse state that you already are." She nipped his leg so as to get her point across before leaping to her feet. "Now are you going to lie down or do I need to get Magic here to help me haul your carcass to the ground and pin you there till you get better?"

The shadow wanted him to eat a basket? How sick! That poor foal. He looked around wild eyed for the youngling whose life was in danger. He couldn't spot any foal baskets, but his search was cut short when she nipped his leg. He leapt away from her the smallest bit and almost fell. Magic? She had... magic. He never met anyone who could do real magic before. Could she pull a bunny out of a basket?

"Magic.. get out of that shadow you're hiding in.. you're confusing him.." Shaking her head she sighed once more. Nosing a bit of food out, she grabbed hold of it and brought it to him, setting it at his feet. "Here.. there's food by your feet now, eat.. regain your strength and get well..."

Grumbling the black and silver bear left her shadow and stepped around so that she could be seen by the stallion. Cuddling up the the mare's leg she snorted at Pachu'a. "You will need your strength for you have much to discuss with her parents.. "

The shadow became a bear. How did the shadow become a bear? And the food... he gt food already? He didn't remember getting food, but he must have. Good, she needed to eat, she was sick. He nosed the pile towards Bri, and took one in his mouth to show her what he wanted her to do, to lead by example as it were. If only his legs would stop shaking he could go get help for her...

Sighing, she took a mouthful from the basket and chewed slowly. Finally swallowing it, she nudged Magic. "You should probably get mother..... He's far too stubborn for me to help him on my own..." She gave a small yawn. She'd dozed that night but it really wasn't a restful sleep when you're taking care of some one sick.

"You sure I can let you be here alone? I don't want him trying anything.... lewd with you..." She ducked a cloven hoof and chortled some. "All right all right.. I'll fetch you're mother little miss.."

He saw her yawn and stumbled over as best as shaking legs could take him. He had to get her to lay down, clearly her body needed it's rest. She had to sleep. Well, he got her to eat by showing what he wanted her to do... maybe she would follow suit again. And maybe if he sat, the shaking would cease. He lowered himself to the ground, sneezed, then nodded pointedly for her to lay down as well. He had begun to ignore the talking shadow, since shadows clearly did not actually talk.

Grumbling to herself, she walked over to him and laid back down. At least he'd eaten a little. now he just needed to sleep. "Get some sleep.. Help's on it's way.." She nodded to magic who scrambled off to get help. She was looking at him.. How irritating he was.. never talking even when he was ill.. never taking her for her word.. annoying her... How could she have found him... attractive? Shaking her head she knew why she had.. He'd saved her... chased away what was after her.. and he wasn't half bad in the looks department. But she liked to talk.. something like this could never truly develop with them.. he was far too... irritating.. like her sister.. only on a non verbal level. all his... signals were frustrating beyond measure. When help did arrive, she'd just have to explain things as best as she could and wait for him to get better.

Help was on it's way? Good. Funny, he didn't remembering sending for help, but apparently some how he did. Good. She needed a healer immediately. He nuzzled her lightly, trying to encourage her to sleep. There had to be more to do for her... Something he could do. What did others like when sick? He liked the snow, but that might just make her worse, besides...he vaguely remembered something about a storm... What else? Oh, right... some Soqs liked... being spoken to. He wrinkled his nose, and wondered why it hurt. He hated talking, he really saw no point in it most of the time, but... if it helped her get better faster, perhaps that was point enough for a single sentence. Enough to get her to hang on until help arrived.

But...what to say. He tried to think, but it was too hot, he couldn't get the thoughts through clearly. Still, his head was spinning. But if it helped her feel better, then he could at least try. It wouldn't be as ecoonomical, not as succinct, but he had to say something, help her some how. So he closed his eyes and did his best. "You'll feel better soon just rest till the healer comes, Briallan..." he mumbled softly before falling back asleep against her. "Warm..." he mumbled as he drifted off, unaware he had voiced the thought.

She stifled a chuckle. How odd he was... here he was the sick one and he was playing it up like she was the one in need of care. Shaking her head she waited for her mother to return with magic. "I hate to burst your bubble.. but You'll feel better when my mother gets here..." Her voice was little more than a whisper and the waited her mother's return.

It hadn't taken much to get her to follow her familiar once she'd learned of what was going on. At first she had feared that maybe this stallion had ill intent for her daughter but after learning he was ill, she gathered herbs along the way to the cave. Magic lead the way and she followed quickly, bringing the herbs to the stallion who was now asleep.

Pachu'a lay against her, lost in his dreams. He was leaned against her as his mind wandered paths that the sane mind dare not venture. All the Soqs he had met in the past all featured in his dreams, And most of them not in ways they every acted when he knew them. Haunted gray hazy images he couldn't capture might ave been his parents. Did abandoned baskets know what their parents looked like? If he had been human, or a different personality, he would have been thrashing about. As it was, another tear escaped, no more. Making them the only ones who had EVER seen him cry. His ears twitched some in agitation, but that and the tears...and the fever... were the only outward signs of his distress.

Briallan looked up to her mother as she came in and gave a slight sheepish look. "He's not doing so well, mother...." She gave a small sigh and shook her head. She could tell her mother already didn't look very pleased. And why would she? She had just learned her daughter was out all night.. with a strange male.. The odds looked way against them even if it all had been innocent.

She was a trusting mare, usually, but this.. struck a nerve. Granted Bri was a grown girl now, no longer a little filly. But to sneak around? Why what was the meaning behind it.. "Briallan... I'll take over from here... Return to your father till I get back and we'll..... discuss this further....." Very often was she angered very often was she annoyed but when it came to her family, there was a line, and it had been crossed. She gave a stern stamp of her hoof to make her point to her daughter.

The stamp of the hoof shook Pachu'a awake. He opened bleary confused eyes and looked around. The talking shadow was gone. Something else there. An Angel? No wings. No, that was Angeni. Then what... ACHOO! his nose cleared a bit. the scent of flowers. Like the tail wagger's.... Briallan. Right.

He blinked again. Oh, right, she was sick. Was this help? had help come? He tried to stand, shaking badly. A draft of cold blew in past the pale figure. Bright the scent of flowers again, and snow. Snow. Cold. Snow. He wanted snow... but he had to protect the girl..... His head lolled a bit. It was getting heavy to keep it up all the time. ACHOOO! and there went the smell of snow. He opened his mouth so he could breathe.

Shoshana archer a brow at him and tisked shaking her head. "He'd definitely sick.. but that's no excuse for keeping my daughter out all night long... how shameless... Sick and trying to coax sweet innocent young mares into a secluded place.." She ticked her head aain. "Home, now briallan!"

Bri stood up and stepped aside from him blushing something fierce from embarrassment. "N-no mother it wasn't any think like.... well.. that.." She felt at that moment like a teenage who'd just been outed on a crush by her best friend in the middle of a high school commons area with the whole of the student body there to hear it. Sure she knew nothing of those sorta of things but the feeling was the same if she could die and waist away from embarrassment, surely she would have already withered away by now.

All this screaming was hurting his head. He stomped his hoof once, demanding quiet so that he could thin...or... try to. Wasn't this the help he had summoned? then why wasn't she treating the sick girl?
