Had he been drinking and, well, human... he would have done a spit take. She was priceless. He grinned impishly at her. "Hey, princess, wanna be my new little sister?" The words were out before he realized that he was going to say them. Hadn't he promised himself the life of a drifter? Not troubling anyone with his presence for too long? Well... they were both adults... adult siblings didn't always stay together. And anyway, he was already feeling protective over her. She was cute. Like a puppy who needed looking after. That's what a younger sibling was, right?
