Manfread ran after the map still flying through the air. He finally got close to it and jumped out to reach it. Grabbing it in one hand and breaking his fall with the other Manfread sat up.
“Got ya, you little devil,” he said smoothing out the map. He looked around at his surroundings, there was a nicely paved road and a few travelling merchants scattered here and there. With a sudden urge to rip his hair out.
“You ok there son?” an old man asked walking up to him, he extended a hand to help Manfread to his feet. Standing Manfread brushed himself off.
“I just got a little lost, that's all” Manfread replied with a smile. The old man didn't look like to deadly or harmful.
“Why your on the road to Takumi,” he said blinking and staring at Manfread, “Its just down there, I'm headed that way myself, you could join us, we could use the extra pair of hands.”
Manfread looked passed the man and saw a cart full of goods. There was a second passenger standing close the cart, masked by baggy clothes and a large hat he could not get a good look. Manfread paused, thinking then he activated his Byakugan and took a second look. The goods mostly consisted of raw materials and the man was unarmed. Manfread shifted his attention to the second passenger, Manfread's nose started to bleed profusely and he turned away, releasing his Byakugan she too was unarmed.
“You feeling ok there son?” the man asked.
“Fine, just got a glimpse of heaven recently... It was great,” he said with a thumbs up, “I'd be happy for some company.”
“Good,” the old man said turning back to the cart, “By the way our transport just died so, could you pull the cart as well, I'm old and my daughter...well, she doesn't have the stren-”
Manfread wiped his nose and walked a head of the old man grapping the cart he started to pull it along.
“Wow, don't hurt yourself we still have a ways to go,” the young woman said.
“Woman, if I can't pull a cart for a couple of miles what kinda man would I be?” Manfread asked. The group continued without much conversation after that.
