And if I lie with you long enough, I can see the things I’m dreaming of!

"I've been doing fairly well, fighting robots and now wizards. I have had a few... problems, caused by the actions of a certain someone," Special replied as she glared at Laura. Special flipped her fan around, slightly uncomfortable being around an old friend and a her mother.

Laura eyed Special and said, "I was hoping for a lovely family reunion, but obviously I was expecting too much. Perhaps I should just go."

"Don't go, Mama!" Gymmyk said with a frown.

This time it was Dash who rolled his eyes. "Shut up, Gymmyk. She isn't your mom." He looked at Special now. "Well, at least you're alive. And that's something to be happy about." He smiled and shuffled Emma around, whom he was still carrying.

Gymmyk was now in the form of a ball and chain. He wrapped himself around Laura's leg. "Don't go mommy! I have abandonment issues!"

Dash tugged on the blue chain connecting them. "Be quiet, Gymmyk. Let go of her leg now."

((I almost forgot about Emmma. xp ))

Laura smiled as Gymmyk pleaded for her not to leave. At least one person cared about her. She gently pried Gymmyk off of her leg and said to Dashing, "I don't see why you would want to get rid of sweet little Gymmyk here."

"Well I see you have a second chance at being a mother, since you completely failed the first time," snarled Special. Trying to ignore her mother, Special asked Dashing, "What happened to Emmma?"

"I don't know..." He replied, looking down at Emmma. "I just saw her like this, she passed out, so I helped her." He looked at Laura. "He's a complete a** to everyone but you!" He said angrily.

Gymmyk transformed into his normal form and looked at Dash. "Well maybe if you weren't such an a** to me, I wouldn't be an a** to everyone else!" He barked back at Dash. He smoked his kiseru and blew the smoke into Dash's face, which angered Dash more.

"Perhaps we should take her back to base," suggested Special. "She might need medical attention."

"Yes, poor Gymmyk is just misunderstood," said Laura sweetly as she smiled at Gymmyk. "One should take care of magical beings they are bonded to, not neglect them."

"Yeah, listen to Mama!" Gymmyk said with a smile, punching Dash's shoulder. "Mama is so nice and caring! You should listen to her, instead of being a jerk to me!"

Dash angrily ignored the nuisance and looked over at Special. "Yeah, I guess we should." He replied, looking down at Emmma. She's in pretty bad shape."

((Yay, someone else is here. blaugh ))

"Well let's get going. I know the way," said Special. She then turned to Dahlia, who had been pretty much ignored, and said, "It's good to see you Dahlia. We're going back to base, so you can join us or catch up with us later." Special began to walk towards a path, beckoning for Dashing to follow with Emmma. Before heading off, she turned around and snarled, "Oh, I believe that 'Mama' can stay behind."

"Such insolence to one's mother would have been punished back when I was a child, many years ago," huffed Laura. "I suppose I'll leave, since I'm not wanted." She then looked at Gymmyk and said, "I'll see you soon." In a blink of an eye, Laura dissipated into nothing and disappeared.

"Nice one." Gymmyk angrily said to Special before turning into a sphere and attaching to Dash's back. "Now Mama is gone." He looked at Dahlia. "So who exactly are you?"

"Just ignore him." Dash said nonchalantly. He looked at Dahlia. "come on." He said with a smile, then he followed Special calmly. "So where is the base?"

"I assume you remember Ace's shop?" said Special with a smile. "Well after the whole robots-taking-over-the-world thing and then the appearance of evil wizards, we decided to use it as a base of operations to help save the world. Unfortunately, Ace has been missing since our last encounter with Daemon and we have been unable to find her," Special sighed a bit sadly.

((I hope everyone likes the choice of base I made. biggrin ))

"Oh yeah..." Dash replied. "I remember that place. That was the last place I remember before I had to go train with Laura." He frowned. "But I don't remember Daemon. And what do you mean, after the robot wars?"

Gymmyk grumbled. "You haven't figured it out yet?"

"Well, the robot wars are over," explained Special. "After Daemon, who was Ace's old lover who had turned himself into a robot, and the other major robot leaders were defeated, the robots just disappeared. After that, magic users began popping up like crazy and causing all kinds of havoc. Now it's wizards we have to deal with."

"Tiiiiina! Hurry up or father will be angry!" I yelled stopping to look behind me on our run. That was me at age nine. "I'm sorry Elle, I'm trying!" Tina yelled trying to catch up. That was her at age six. She wasn't as used to the 10 mile morning runs everyday. "Why does father want us to do this everyday? I may be young, but I know our physical limitations at our age." I thought to myself letting Tina take a quick break.

At age thirteen is when we started weight training. Father expected me to be able to lift seventy to eighty pounds in a bicep curl and squat two hundred and fifty pounds. Tina had to curl fifty to sixty and squat one hundred and eighty pounds. Some how we managed to get stronger to keep up with his demands. Back then we wanted to make him proud.

Age fifteen is when I started to speak out. "Why are you pushing us so hard?!" I shout at Glenn, "You and your wife know the physical limitation of Tina and I at our age! Yet you still insist we should lift more and more weights, practice our combat expertise and run father and father for longer and longer! Tina and I haven't had rest in a week because of this!" I continued my rant. "You will do it because you are MY children and you are going to be just as strong as me!" Glenn retorted. My punishment for that put me in a body cast for a few months. 'Father' cut that time in half to prevent my muscles and stamina from deteriorating.

At eighteen is when I took a bigger stand. I secretly learned alot of things in the short amount of spare time Glenn allowed us. I learned about business and the economy. When I was allowed to leave the grounds I went to certain places and spoke with the right people. In three months I started my own business secretly. It took off the ground like shooting a laser into space. I made money fast.

Age nineteen I challenged him politically. "I'm leaving." I announced to Tina one morning before our run. "What? W-why?" Tina asked looking up from tying her shoes. "I'm leaving this place for good. I started a business that they don't know about. I'm pretty rich if I must say so myself. Probably have more money than father does." I added. "I want you to come with me. I want you to get out of this with me and experience things we never got to. Like traveling the world outside of extream climates like high altitudes and deserts and oceanic pressures." I only had the best interest for Tina's mental stability but the more I looked into her sullen and defeated face, the more I knew her spirit was broken.

"I'm leaving and there is nothing you can do about that!" I yelled to father after getting in from the run. "I won't allow it!" Glenn quipped raising his hand about to knock me around. He swung his hand but I slapped it away and jumped back to avoid the next strike. "I'm more than willing to give my life for this." I said getting ready for the upcoming fight. "Hmph." Glenn snarled. "You are dead to me. Now get out." He didn't raise an uproar and let me go.

Age twenty was great. I owned the biggest apartment complex in the city and I stayed in the penthouse. I had to have my closet remodeled several times to fit all the outfits I would buy. But I never wore them, so I always ended up donating them. I would send Tina gifts several times a week to keep her spirits up and try to coax her to living with me. She was seventeen and starting to get a mind of her own. I later learned that Glenn was destroying the gifts I would send her right in front of her to break her spirit even more. I had wondered why I never received any letters from her.

It wasn't but a couple months into that whole ordeal when I got a call from Tina, she was crying at a payphone asking me to let her live with me. I immediately got into my car and went to find her. As it happens she made the call in a bar and some rather perverse men said the wrong things to her. Needless to say she sent them to the hospital and caused some damage to the bar, but she was unharmed.

When I got her home, I cleaned her up and got her into one of my outfits. She only stared at it in the mirror and was confused the whole time. "You don't like it?" I said fashioning her hair with a brush and some hair pins. "It's not that, it just...I don't feel too comfortable in this." she answered trying to balance herself in my heels. "Hmmm, alright then, lets go shopping!" I said grabbing my credit card. Tina had picked a few kinds of boots and some really baggy pants and tank tops and band shirts. "Turns out you're a tomboy huh?!" I said jokingly holding one of the boots. Tina laughed then looked at something, she got up and raced to a window at a jewelers shop. Sitting on a black velvet pillow was a brilliant stone. A thick and sturdy looking silver chain held a tear drop shaped amethyst. "You like it? I'll get it for you?" I asked looking over her shoulder. "N-no! That thing is expensive! It's waaaay too much." she answered still looking at it. I knocked her head and walked into the jewelers shop and told the man I wanted the one that Tina was looking at. "No don't box it up, it's gonna be worn real soon." I said with a smile at Tina.

Walking out of the shop I fastened the chain around her neck. "Least there's something feminine about you now!" I joked but stopped when I saw Tina cry. "Hey now none of that! This is a welcoming gift for you. To commemorate your new life outside of the tyranny of our so called 'father'."

((this is just side story, Elle won't be joining the group for some time.))

"Really?" He muttered. "Wizards, huh..." He looked at Special. "So where do you think the robots went? And what happened to Tina?"

Gymmyk groaned louder. He wanted attention.
