nathan_ngl Hey, just last week I had a shabbat yeshiva, and guess what the subject was? razz . Same thing.. It's a big problem among the yeshiva students- 50% of the students were missing from that shiur... guess where they went? wink . Yea, the girls biggrin . They sure are addicted, huh? But... Hey, I'm not saying that I don't like girls wink , it's just that I never talk to 'em, I'm held back by the rules set by Haza"l (Thank hashem for that, I can see now how wise our sages were!!). Well I do talk with the girls in my Shevet from Bni-Akiva, but not on a daily base, somtimes not even on a weekly one xd

During those times I usually sleep or go the beit midrash to help some random classmate catch up on the matterial smile ... Much more building up on character than talking to girls wink at least for now... biggrin .

ZonkotheSane mellella ZonkotheSane nathan_ngl lol... some of my classmates have a problem with girl control razz . I must admit its unnerving to see how... addicted they are to it smile . And they call my school a very high rated yeshiva?... sweatdrop well, the guys seem to like it xd meh. girls are great, but like alot of good things, too much is bad. you have to know where to draw the line. like no more than 2 a night wink (inverse also applies. sorry girls, only 2) you bad boy! good yeshiva boyz dont talk like that! mad u stay away from girlz like a good chassideshe bachar! more than friendly "hello" is not neccassary! domokun ... i'm not a chossid. stare well, not really. i think my namesake great great great great great grandfather was a big chassidish rabbi, and a great great great uncle was a rebbe. dunno if that counts. it does count! you shall be a chassid 3nodding good zonko, listen to mella and you'll be one of the greatest chassids to ever live 3nodding

Eh. Things like that are one of the reasons I couldn't be Orthodox. Girls bug me; they cause too much drama. It's easier to be friends with the guys and hang with them all the time.
Besides, it's not like I'm doing anything with my guy friends. All my friends keep saying they need to find me a nice smart Jewish boy mrgreen The problem being that of the NJB's at my school half are Reform and the other half I've known since preschool or kindergarten.

At least you guys have a Jewish population, though! sad
My temple has like....2 Jewish guys my age, not including my brothers. And neither go to my school, and I only know them by name xd

Its the person that matters! but u should follow in his footsteps 3nodding i wouldn't change my name anyway. the person i was named for was a great rabbi (he was reffered to as harav hagoan hatzaddik by the time he was 30ish, and the sotmir rebbe of the time once sent him a letter asking him to pray for someone. that's a bigger thing than it sounds like. and he was the head rabbi of a city. all before age 34.) he was also my great-great-great-great-great-grandfather.
