Kaya leaned into Tanto's warmth for a few seconds before she fell in step behind the nin-fox. She certainly hoped that she wouldn't get distracted and wander off. "Oh, good, I'd love a little heat. The snow is fun to play in, but being so cold all the time isn't any fun at all."

Tanto chuckled "Well yes snow is cold and generally only liked for a short amount of time because it is so cold and it makes it harder to find food." she waited a moment so that they could continue on their journey next to each other. "So where would you like to go in the south?" she asked.

Kaya tried to think of what to visit in the south and just didn't know. She didn't want to say 'the forest' or 'the beach' and find out that those places weren't even in the south. The black cat-fox shrugged and lashed her tail. "I don't know what's in the south. I don't know what is where. Being somewhere warm would be enough for me."

"Hmm well lots of things are in the south but it's not like we have to go deep south. Just somewhere that's not here where there is snow and cold. Let's think for a moment and list of warmer places." Tanto said as she walked. Her eyes scanned the sky and it was clear promising not to snow on them. "Well there are forest, canyons, lakes, rivers, beaches, meadows, deserts....I think that's it but I'm not sure."

"Jungles, rain forests, islands...well I suppose there could be islands in the other directions too...." Kaya added her own tiny list. Honestly, the cat-fox didn't know what was where, so topography was completely out of the question. Perhaps she should sit down and actually try to learn which direction was where.
Looking off to the side, she caught sight of a leaf fluttering over the snow. A slow smile crossed her muzzle and she suddenly gave chase, kicking snow up behind her. Leaping, she batted at the leaf and laughed, completely carefree.

"Mhm that's right there is those to. Would you like to go to an island?" Tanto asked. She waited a moment for a reply but didn't get one. She paused and turned around. Eyes scanning for Kaya, who she found chasing a leaf. It was cute to watch the cat-fox play with the leaf though she had to make sure Kaya didn't get to far.

Kaya caught the leaf between her paws and came down, lifting her right paw slightly to peek at the leaf. Grinning proudly, she looked around and her gaze landed on Tanto who was a bit of distance away. Oops...she ran off again didn't she. Kaya's ears drooped a bit and she sheepishly made her way back to the other female. "Sorry." she mumbled.

Tanto had a goofy smile on her face as she watched how carefree Kaya was. She let out a soft cheer when Kaya was finally able to catch the elusive leaf in her paws. "It's fine Kaya no worries kay?" she said while chuckling softly. "So maybe we take you somewhere warm with a breeze so you can chase things?" she asked her in a good mannered teasing sort of way.

"I suppose." She said, rather noncommittally. She really didn't want to be any bother. Maybe a positive spin could be put on her unfortunate behavior. "Maybe somewhere where we can chase them together. If you want to." Kaya said hopefully. Maybe if they played together it wouldn't seem like such a chore to bring her back all the time. They could get lost together and the Tanto could reorient them again.

Tanto glanced over at her hearing her down tone. "Cheer up Miss Kitty Kat Kaya. There was no harm done." She told her while nudging her cheek to reassure her. "Chasing butterflies huh? That means we would need to head towards a warmer climate forest... and I would love to chase them with you. I haven't done something so kit-ish in a while. It will be fun."

Kaya replied with a smile. It seemed that Tanto was fine with her strange behaviors. "Yes, please, I'd like to be in a warmer climate. I've really gotten sick of the snow. And I like to chase butterflies and leaves."
Tanto thought she acted kit-ish? Was that a good thing or a bad thing? Maybe she should tell Tanto Kaya was much worse as a kit...or not. How about Kaya just smiled and followed the other female.

"All aboard the butterfly express. Our destination today ladies and gentlemen a warmer place to play with butterflies."Tanto said in a playful, happy tone. She had a smile on her face. She was actually really looking forward to having this time off from training and to just relax and have fun.
