With a response from the girl, the smile on Corbin's face grew very slightly but inside he swelled with relief; finally someone spoke back to him, not too involved in their own petty nonsense nor outright ignoring him. It seemed most of the students were so unhappy with being here--in particular that, what was he, Raum, yes--they were intent on staying unhappy and dragging others down with them.
If Corbin wasn't careful, they would rub off on him but with the inclusion of at least a polite person there was at least a chance he would stave it off. "There's no telling how many students are in the other cars," a ghost of a chuckle escaped his lips. "My name is Corbin, can I ask yours?"
To gain attention to itself, the Stalkman gurgled and its toothy maw outstretched as if wanting another tape inserted but there were none to give. Corbin's black painted fingernails smacked against the deck in his pocket and it snapped shut, all without his blue eyes moving from the Nagual's own silver ones. "Are you going to play?" a hand drew up the sheet with only one answer scribbled on neatly, "It should at least be a good way to pass the time." Maybe once this game was done there would be others. I Spy would be amusing for a short time but not for the entire duration of the trip.
The other students around the cabin were conversing, some more boisterously than others. More had boarded and taken their seats; now there was another bird, blue and exceedingly drunk, as well as a cat. Corbin's wings retracted against his back, feathery ears lowering to blend in more with his hair. At least it was looking like it wouldn't take terribly much longer for the cart to fill up. Maybe then the train could get moving, finally. His eyes narrowed, shoulders slumping just the slightest bit, as he heard the Raum's annoyed and careless ramblings. Yes, hopefully the train would move soon. The last thing Corbin and his seat mate needed was for the mood to be contagious.Quote: THE LIST I spy with my little eye... something that is...

"Yeah. Mebbe. Tentacles." An expression of mild distaste flitted across West's features as he recalled Trixie, the overenthusiastic Mytrax, and how its tentacles had felt wrapped around his ankle. He shook off the feeling, intending to append a remark about the state of the other demon's mother to their verbal sparring match, when he saw it. Another couple of tentacles, these ones writhing and pointing and... wait. They were attached to someone's head? And that someone was addressing him in his brain. Well, that was unexpected.
Curiosity piqued, West directed his mind back at her, his eyes narrowing and lips jutting forward as if he was doing sudoku or stuck on the toilet. That was nothingggggggggggggggg, he thought at the creature peeking over the seat, unsure as to whether or not she could actually hear him. "M'hair wasn't invited ta th'conversation," he added out loud, in a voice that was softer than the one he had previously been speaking in, but no less snarky.

"I wouldn't mind if yeh wanted ta call me that. Ye'd be wrong, however, least fer now." One of the pointed appendages jutting out of his hat flicked with amusement, almost as if tickled. Upon closer inspection, they seemed far too thin and stiff to be a canine's, full of soft-looking, dark fur. He didn't seem bothered by the Braum's tone; so far as he was concerned, it wasn't an argument worth pursuing. Not because he didn't like a good argument, mind, he just had a little experience detecting the more interesting ones.
To the sneering inquiry, he offered a crooked grin, showing a little tooth at one corner of his mouth. "Five? Ah sure, five outta five, lad. Always. So far as the game goes, I'd say 'why not'? No offense, but I think it's a little better than squawkin' and sittin' in a fluff. Yer hair will fall out, ya know. I've seen it. Demon with a nice head-a hair like yers, couldn't find a thing ta wear. Next thing you know, his hair's fallin' out in clumps. Shame. But maybe there is somethin' better to be had." His eyebrows waggled at Braumithras under the ragged cut of his bangs, suggestive and teasing. "Maybe when the train gets ta really ramblin'. I'm not in the habit of coming out the gate premature, personally."
Leaning away from the Raum, Kegan glanced down the row of seats but spoke to the demon. "Say, d'ya happen to know the name of the lass who's runnin' the game?"

Jericho could breathe fire. Normally. This information was instantly stored in the back recesses of her mind. She stole a peek at his paper while he wrote down some responses. She particularly liked his answers for striped and squishy, and one long finger tapped his paper against the squishy response while a soft chuckle caressed against his mind. She approved.
She could tell someone was trying to think at her, but the inhibitions that this school, and even this train, had placed upon her were making it more difficult than ever to hear anything. When West tried to think at her, it sounded like a muffled, underwater whisper; but her eyes snapped to attention, and then crinkled in mirth at both his face, and his answer.
You're rude. She responded, though the words sounded as though they held a touch of respect, perhaps even interest. I like you.
She wouldn't wait for his response, however; instead, she picked up the piece of paper she'd been ignoring this whole time, settled it on Jericho's head, and started filling in responses quickly. It looked something like this.Riley's List THE LISTI spy with my little eye... something that is... Striped: Your mother. Green: Your mother. Lovesick: Your mother. Energetic: Your mother last night. Shiny: Your mother. Festive: Your mother. Squishy: DEFINITELY your mother. Pathetic :: Games of I Spy.
All done.

Iolanthe managed to stare moodily out at the train for a few more minutes before she sighed and, out of pure boredom (she swears), she reached out and picked the paper back up again. She stared at it for a long few moments, tapping the top of her pen lightly against her cheek as she thought about it.
Who in Jack's name had come up with this list anyway? She threw a small glance at the busy-body that had started the game and frowned, finding all the answer she needed there.Io's List THE LIST I spy with my little eye... something that is...
Striped: The cat ghoul. Green: The dragon ghoul, she's green from head to tail. Lovesick: The lady that can't turn into a dog. That must suck. Energetic: The dog (the actual dog, not the lady dog). Shiny: My claws. Festive: The train, if you call these half-a** decorations 'festive'. Squishy: The tentacle ghoul? I guess so, I'm not testing the hypothesis. Pathetic: This whole game.
She pursed her lips as she looked over her list, one brow raised with her inspection. Well, it would be more helpful if she knew names but.. she really couldn't be bothered to learn the names of a whole train full of students just for a stupid game. Confident that she had filled it out to the very best of her ability, she turned to look for the girl that had handed them out originally.
"Hey, uh," a pause as she tried in vain to search for a name for the student council member. Coming up empty-handed, she just shrugged it off and decided that she could just be rude and get her attention with some enthusiastic hand waving. "What do we do with these forms when we're done with your game?" She certainly didn't want to hold onto the thing for the whole train ride.

Slouched, with an air of almost forced casualness, in a seat back towards the rear of the train car, Aedan eyed the 'I Spy' sheet with an impending sense of doom. What were the -right- answers, anyway? After all, if they were going to play a game, he wanted to win. Making a face, he looked at his pencil, then back at the sheet in irritation. After an unproductive moment of staring at it blankly, he looked up, deciding that he'd try again in a bit--in the meantime, maybe he'd get to take a look at what other people were putting down, and could base his own responses accordingly.
At least, with talents being blocked, he wasn't likely to accidentally light anyone (or anything) on fire.

"I'LL SAVE YOU STUDENTS!" Came the exclamation, as the stranger arrived in the car, slamming the door hastily behind him. He ran all the way into the middle of the train car before he realised, there was nothing wrong with this train car. "I... am going to assume that noone is behind attacked here. Yes, well, carry on. If anyone is being attacked, be sure to scream louder or something."
He briskly walked through the hallway into the next car, clicking the door closed behind him.

"... grazie?" Malodore managed, thoroughly nonplussed. That didn't sound reassuring at all. "Shall we prepare to be attacked, then?" it said, nominally directed at Shehk and Kasumi though audible by anyone in the car.
Privately, the plague doctor thought that might liven things up a bit.

Kasumi blinked. Being attacked? She was busy trying to keep the students in the car occupied, and she wanted to give out prizes and allow everyone to have a good time! Now that a professor came strolling through, the ghost feared she wasn't doing a very good job of keeping order or keeping everyone occupied. Students didn't seem to be too keen on her little game despite her best efforts. Before she could ask the professor about what was going on in the next car, he was nearly to the door. Dropping her hands to her side, she couldn't let the other students see how she felt about the whole thing. Instead, she sat down and put on a cheerful face.
Carthusia, meanwhile, was in the back of the car, pondering who to bother. Getting up out of her seat, she stretched her wings and simply took one of the I Spy sheets just to look like she was busy being productive or something. Smiling, she sat down next to the most amazing looking one of the bunch - Riley. "I guess I fell asleep in the back. Did I miss any mischief?"

Hattapus little tentacles flopped around as she flattened out more upset the paper was on her. She pushed the paper off her head and pulled out a pen and scribbled something on the back of it. More like wrote it neatly for a hat she had impeccable handwriting well for a halloweenie she had great hand writing. Searching herself she pulled out Mo's eyepod where she got it from is odd because if you flipped her over she would look hollow like a hat. She was an odd little thing and very pissed off at the moment. Listening to his voice only annoyed her more she grabbed wrapped the paper around it the eyepod and beaned it at Braum's head and then skittered under the seat. Climbing up the back hanging over the side to wait for his reaction (hit or not) she will not be ignored.

Not long after the fellow feline had stopped staring at him, Deacon had returned to his attempt to nap. That hadn't lasted a really long time, because even with ear plugs the shriek of an unfamiliar individual. With a curse under his breath, Deacon gave up and jerked the plugs from his ears and glared at the Professor as he made an exit as swiftly has he had entered.
"Attacked?" He said aloud with annoyance. "What the hell is going on in the other cars?"

Shehk stared at the man who had entered the car with a suspicious look, having not seen the man before, looking at him, then down to her list, before sighing and slouching in her seat ears drooping a bit.
This game really wasn't fun.
"This would be funner as a scavenger hunt at least. Could have at least made us look for something." She said lamely, kicking it back in her seat by herself. Huzzah! She was.. ....
trying to relax if nothing else. She had time to ponder about the status of stuff in existance. Well... she'd start off with...shoot, she'd start off withhhhh...
"HEY. IF I SCREAM LOUDER, WILL YOU BRING SOME OF SOMETHING OR OTHER TO COME BACK AND ATTACK US? THAT WOULD AT LEAST BE INTERESTING!!" she yelled after the strange man, before crinkling her nose.

The arrive of a man with the shiny blue orb made Israfel emit a very loud scree of surprise. "IDIDN'TDOANYTHINGYOUCAN'TPROVEITIHAVENOIDEAWHATYOUARETALKINGABOUTITWASTOTALLYTHEGNOMESAND-AND-AND-" the man left as quickly as he came. Falling back into his seat, Israfel relaxed. "I butt they ish being attuckked." His slur returned, no longer frightened into fast well pronounced words. "...Attuckked. Attuckked becoos they don't know how to partay."
Blue eyes zoomed in on Kasumi and Nuk. "I know dis is partah cahr. Dat one-" he pointed at Nuk, "totes did poonch." Israfel pulled out some crackers and began to nibble on them. In the back of his drunk induced mind, he knew eating would sober him up. It would still take a while however. Cracker munching stopped as Shehk screamed. It seemed he would be drunk a while longer. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHWHYYOUYELLSOLOUDSHEHKWHYSOLOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD" Hands tried to block out sound. Ah, the down side to being drunk.

Oh Shehk's screaming brought attention allright. Of the unfriendly kind.
At first it looked like random objects were being upturned for no reason, until students started getting shoved aside. It wasn't until someone noticed the glowing red light in the back of the room that they put two and two together. It was a invisible ghost reindeer and it was very angry at the train car. ATTACKING THE INVISIBLE REINDEER (100 HP)This might be sort of hard, as it is well, invisible. Except for the glowing red thing. - ALL STUDENTS ROLL TWO SIX SIDED DICE. - The FIRST DICE represents if you HIT or MISS. ODD is MISS, EVEN IS HIT. If you roll even, you either hit someone else or go flying into space, or something equally disastrous as fighting in a closed space can do that to you. - The SECOND DICE IF YOU HIT, represents the damage you do! YAY! - Please make sure to EDIT INTO YOUR POST AFTER YOUR ROLL your RP'ed actions! Thank you! - NO FEAR OR NATURAL ABILITY ATTACKS PLEASE, YOU MUST RESORT TO MELEE (or throwing stuff at it) EXAMPLE POST ** ROLL 2 6-SIDED DICE ** Edited in part later: BOB MISSES THE REINDEER WITH HIS SHOE, SURPRISED AS IT MADE A 'KONK' SOUND.BOB ROLLED A 4 and a 6. He HITS the Reindeer and does 6 total damage!

Malodore winced as the siren's shriek rose. "Well, if whatever is allegedly attacking the other cars didn't know we were here before, it does now," the plague doctor said, shaking its head. It looked like the siren was getting over a bad bout of pink elephants, too... Candlejack, was there going to be tainted punch here as well?!
