Twi went to the mini fridge in the room, not far behind the chair, and opened it. he retrieved 3 pints of blood in I.V. Packs and set two of them on Sakura's lap. the third he fed to her by pouring down her throat. he pulled one of his kunai out of a hidden sleeve and held it in his hand as he waited for her to wake up.

Sakura was in a realm of dreams from the past. She saw visions of her cousin helping her learn self defense, learning of her parent's demise, her first time meeting Don Kuro. However, her most vivid memory was when she had seen Nyx... Nyx?! Oh no, she just had to forget that minor detail during her blab fest. If she woke up, she would divulge that secret as soon as opportunity presented itself. She was suddenly aware of a familiar liquid making it's presence known in her body. Sighing in relief she realized it was an IV pack. Her eyes fluttered open, despite the sun peeking in through the crack under the door. "Ugh, what?" Suddenly, she was well aware of the kunai in his hand and all she could do was stare at it in fear.

Sakura Rosina Sakura was in a realm of dreams from the past. She saw visions of her cousin helping her learn self defense, learning of her parent's demise, her first time meeting Don Kuro. However, her most vivid memory was when she had seen Nyx... Nyx?! Oh no, she just had to forget that minor detail during her blab fest. If she woke up, she would divulge that secret as soon as opportunity presented itself. She was suddenly aware of a familiar liquid making it's presence known in her body. Sighing in relief she realized it was an IV pack. Her eyes fluttered open, despite the sun peeking in through the crack under the door. "Ugh, what?" Suddenly, she was well aware of the kunai in his hand and all she could do was stare at it in fear. he stated cooly. "but then again, your situation is also out of the ordinary. we have more in common than I first realized. what are your motives? they may well decide what this blade cuts -- sinew or fiber."

Right after Twi finished his eerie statement, a man dressed all in white barged into the room with wide eyes, a maid behind him shivering with a pale face. There's, th-there's a....CORPSE! the guy practically screamed, the main moaning and crying. And it moved! she added in a wail, fainting. The man caught her, only to faint as well, a paler-than-pale hand visible for a moment by his neck for a moment. Then the figure who'd raised so much of a hullabaloo was visible in the doorway, looking grumpy and annoyed... "Shiiiii..." A loud shriek penetrated Z's tired mind, babbled voices muffled through the thick freezer door but still audible to the hybrid's heightened hearing. Taking that as a sign that it'd be a GOOD time to MOVE, before someone found her, Z stood up with a wince at the wound in her side, noting with relief that it had closed in her few hours of deep sleep. Still hurt though, and would for some time. F*cking silver... Z mentally grumped, moving to stand at the side of the door. She hesitated just a moment as the handle moved, a voice placating someone on the other side, and Z had to act.
Before the handle could turn much more, the hybrid grabbed it and swung the freezer door open hard enough it banged on the other side, despite its weight. There were not a few startled faces turning to examine the noise, but Z was gone. Only the man right at the door getting a look at Z's frosted eyelashes and hair, the dead look in her eyes as she stood there before the hybrid had moved.
Making an annoyed face at the blood trail she had unintentionally left, Z ran up the stairs into a less-used looking part of the house. It smelled kind of musty, the hybrid still tired enough she wanted to sleep. A dark room, mustier than the rest, seemed available.
Until another scream woke Z up, light hitting her sensitive eyes. A maid had opened the door of the closet Z had taken refuge in, babbling something about ghosts and skeletons in the closet... Before the sensory-dazed hybrid could react the woman had run out of the room, yelling and screaming her head off. Cursing to herself, Z rushed after the woman only to turn a corner and see the woman babble to the cook, who in turn grabbed her hand and they ran off in a different direction. Steps silent, Z finally caught up to them, looking annoyed, just in time to interrupt them with neck pinches. Only to see that Twi was somehow awake, and most likely able to believe the "walking corpse" story than the human overseer or boss Z'd been thinking they'd have had hysterics to. And he was looking right at her.
"Shiiiii..." Z took a few steps back, scowling at Twi as she had heard his last comment. Seeing Sakura's face, Z sighed, her sense of obligation and duty overriding her current desire to run. Especially with the two humans knocked out at her feet. "How about neither," Z suggested, sounding grumpy and irritable as she rubbed at her eyes like she was tired. Vivid sapphire eyes, deep and dark as wells, eyes to drown in... Deep compelling eyes with Z's perfect paleness, as if made out of purest limestone. She shifted into a defensive position, her side to Twi as a mischievous expression crossed the hybrid's face for a moment. Sure, it was day and she felt drained, but....just because they MOVED during the day didn't mean they were STRONG during the day, right? Besides, worse case scenario, Z could slam her cross in their faces and run... Being tired and loopy from hunger made the hybrid a LEETLE bit more reckless than she usually was.
But before she or Twi could move in response to Z's actions, there was another scream, Z wincing as she turned into a vase. A vase help by one of the other maids, the one who's first freaked out at the blood on the floor, thick and darker than normal due to Z's repressed feeding habits of such things. Blinking as the vase smashed over her head, Z just sighed and was a blur to the human eyes, the hybrid crashing back into the wall as the woman screamed. Growling, Z let out a howl to startle the girl, perhaps startling the whole household, and her hand flew in a blur to lay the lightest of touches to the woman's voicebox. At that speed, carefully controlled, it shut her up and snapped the maid's neck just enough to pinch the nerve she'd messed with on the others. Leaving three inert "bodies" in the hall.
Growling in annoyance, the hybrid decided enough was enough, she couldn't handle anymore, so Z spun on her heel to leave. She couldn't be safe in the mansion, especially if vampires in this backwards place could move during the day, and would be able to follow her unique scent. Ah! Z ran up the stairs, blowing past any locked doors in her way and made it to the roof top, startling a group of pigeons. Taking a deep breath of the fresh air, Z could feel the familiar warning tingling itch against her skin that she was in the sun, and would soon burn if she stayed exposed to it for too long. Letting out the deep breath she'd taken, leaving the door wide to let the light shine into the dark house, Z looked around the area for a place to stay. At least until the night, mindful of Twi's odd shadows and hesitant to stay in the dark so she wouldn't fry.
Scowling in thought, Z looked around the grounds, jumping off the roof and unintentionally flashing past Twi's and Sakura's window. A kick out against the building, and Z's downward momentum was slowed somewhat as she was pushed out away from the building, the hybrid rolling just to stand up and run away from the mansion. Z didn't know how she even GOT there in the first place, although it had been similar to her arrival into this...world...to beging with. Another reason to hate that vampire, freaking portals, so f*cking messed up... Z growled in her mind as she ran. Finally finding a place she thought she'd be safe, Z collapsed with fatigue and sun-drain in the lightly shadowed area, still light but not so much the direct sun would burn her as fast. She loaded a gun, turned to her side, and Z was set, the safety on and under her head as Z dozed off into an uneasy rest. She'd be ready if anything came, but still get to rest...maybe.

A maid was behind him looking even more terrified. Both were yelling about a corpse, and Sakura couldn't help but snort as she knew exactly what they were talking about. She didn't even blink as Z made her grand entrance, looking grumpy and still very much in pain. Thankful that Twi had his attention focused on the scene before them, Sakura quickly summoned a crystal ball and whispered something in Gaelic. At least she could... 'No!' Her crystal suddenly disappeared without her being able to send it to the only person she currently trusted. She fervently prayed her crystal's brief appearance and disappearance was not noticed. Feeling rather ill, Sakura focused on the situation at hand. Judging by Z's slightly changed facial expression, she had overheard the charming remark Twi had made. "How about neither," Z suggested with her normal grumpy tone. Sakura blinked as a mischievous grin graced Z's features. Could she possibly get out of this mess thanks to the hybrid? Her question was answered as another maid hit Z over the head with a vase. ' Well, crud.'Z let out a howl that chilled Sakura to her very core and then after causing the maid to pass out, Z left quickly. A moment or so later, they saw her flash past the window and then she was gone. Sakura shook her head and despite knowing she was still in a bad predicament, she shot Twi a very small smirk. "Is your place always this lively?"

"no... it isn't. and I now don't know whether I want it to be or not...." he remarked, still stunned and confused about how fast it all happened. he barely had time to register fear let alone comprehension. he turned his attention back to his prisoner. "now.... tell me what you're goals are, and where your loyalties lie. or you'll be slowly bled every day before being subject to uncounted torments. I think I still have the needles from the last victim in the chest over there..."

"now.... tell me what you're goals are, and where your loyalties lie. or you'll be slowly bled every day before being subject to uncounted torments. I think I still have the needles from the last victim in the chest over there..." Slowly, so as not to alert Twi to her actions, Sakura lengthened her nails bit by bit until they were just long enough to cut through the rope. Channeling her prior training, she waited until she knew the bonds were loose enough, thankful for the small bit of nourishment earlier to make this possible. Sighing in fake resignation, she hung her head, preparing herself mentally. She hated to do this but she wasn't about to go through this situation for a second time. "Fine, you want to know my motives? Here they are!" With one fluid motion, she broke through the remaining bonds, kicked Twi away from her, grabbed her earring and opened it, blowing the off-white powder towards Twi and the servants. Not waiting to see if it worked or not, she ran down the hall as fast as her legs could carry her, passing startled servants on their way to see the commotion. Scowling at the realization the sun was up and she had no cloak (hers being lost in the alley), she tried summoning another crystal. Before she could speak, the crystal shattered and disappeared. "Yarks!" She sputtered in frustration as she skidded to a halt at the end of the hall. She opened a random door and happily found an unoccupied bedroom. Looking around for a place to hide (and maybe sleep), Sakura saw an old wardrobe and quickly climbed in. Curling up in the left corner, she made sure to stay hidden amongst old clothes, hats, and accessories. She was still hungry and would have to visit Louie soon to get some more of his vegan substitute but for now, she needed to sleep. Her tired pink eyes closed and she fell into a deep sleep, vaguely aware of a familiar scent in the room.

the powder choked Twi's lungs, and sent his servants tumbling to sleep. luckily for him, he didn't need to breath, nor did the poison effect him. he growled as he rushed out the door behind Sakura. he knew that he heard a door shut, but he couldn't pinpoint where. she must have been nearby, however. he took the master key from his pocket and began to hastily lock all the doors in this hall. she would be trapped in whichever room she was hiding in, leastways until she busted out a window. still, he didn't have a clue which one she was in. his interrogation would have to wait. at least he knew that she wouldn't be going anywhere soon when she decided to escape through a window. the Mansion's physical location was west of the Barton Cliffs.

As the sun began to descend, Sakura awakened feeling more alert, albeit slightly cramped. Stretching, she accidentally bumped into an overhead coat and nearly yelped with fright. Sleep had placed reason back into her mind and she was sure Twi was going to be extremely ticked off if he caught her. A whimper of fear escaped her throat before she got a hold of herself. She had not been caught yet, so there was hope of escape. Sighing in exasperation, she slowly opened the wardrobe and stepped out into the room, glad the sun had set. She made her way to the door, and to her dismay (but not surprise) found it locked. Knowing she was losing time, Sakura frantically looked around the room, spotting a nearby window. Quietly, Sakura tiptoed to the window and placed her left hand on it. Focusing all her energy on the window, she murmured softly, "Leáigh (melt)" Frowning as the glass remained relatively cool, she realized her magic was no use here. In fact using her magic might even allow her whereabouts to be known. "No…" Her voice was not even a whisper as she shivered in despair and fear. As she took a few deep breaths to calm herself, Sakura realized she had a choice to make. She could escape and possibly still be caught again or she could own up and face her situation head on. Her decision was answered for her as she saw the doorknob turning. Quickly she thought of her parents and murmured, "Ar lámh shábhála (in safe keeping)". Taking a deep breath, Sakura broke the window and jumped as the door to the room opened.

It wasn't as deep and fulfilling as she'd hope, but when Z rose with the moon's appearance, its light in her face, the hybrid felt a little bit better. Rubbing at her eyes with one hand as she sat up, the other hand still on the gun, Z froze. Footsteps were approaching. Z tensed, shifted barely, and moved before the slight scuff of her boot could be registered and located...
Something soft under her stone-hard body and barely-sculpted muscles eeped and struggled, the cold metal of the cross-tipped gun stilling it's movements. Z blinked, sitting up with a knee to whomever's back to keep them down as she yawned...but the hand with the gun never wavered, safety clicking off enough of a nonverbal warning. Blinking, Z noticed it was Sakura, and scowled. But she got off of the dark elf, muttering dire-sounding curses under her breath in a grumpy fashion as she backed of some more to meld with the shadows as much as possible. Her only real help was a practiced skill, going so still it was like she wasn't there even as Z was in plain sight, so still in dead, it was like if you blinked she'd no longer exist...

Sakura winced as she jumped, bits of glass cut her arms and her legs received a jolt when she hit the ground hard. Not even thinking about getting her bearings, she ran as fast as possible, grateful for decent sleep to give her an energy boost. She kept running until a sharp pain shot through her ankle and leg. Scowling, Sakura looked down to find her right foot caught under a root. Muttering under her breath, she took off again despite the searing pain. She knew she had to keep ahead of the game so she attempted to focus on calling one of two people she trusted with her life. 'C'mon Cordell…' She was finally able to concentrate enough once she hid behind an abandoned building but what, or rather who, she saw made her nearly shriek out loud. 'Nyx?!' She literally saw his evil smile spread widely. "Now little Sakura, what's this I hear about your being a traitor?" Sakura's normally vibrant pink eyes went vacant. 'What do you mean by traitor?' Nyx merely laughed as his eyes turned to an unconscious Cordell. She put two and two together very quickly. 'You sick…' "No need for name calling, Miss Agnew." 'So you know my past. I assume you told the Don then.' "But of course, I couldn't keep such vital information from our dear Don Kuro. But I digress, it looks like you're in a spot of trouble now. You see you are now a traitor to our clan and a stench to the young Valthier, so there's really nowhere for you to go." Her eyes widened in recognition, so that was why he seemed familiar! Nyx interrupted her thoughts. "Such a pity, but remember that you chose your own path." Returning to herself, Sakura realized she had placed herself in an extremely bad situation. Tears streaked her normally peaceful face and her eyes held a look of fear unknown to most, like a rabbit caught in a trap. Her thoughts were interrupted by a movement to her right and she turned and ran once more, her ankle burning with every step she took. She never noticed Z until after she ended up swiftly on the ground, a soft "Eep!" leaving her throat. The familiar -click- of a gun caused her to cease all movement and she quickly tried to read the thoughts of her captor, praying it wasn't one of the few vampires still loyal to Luca. She almost sighed with relief, despite the knee in her back and the fact there was still a lethal object pointed at her yet again. As Z finally awakened enough, Sakura felt the knee release from her back and heard the familiar voice mutter curses as Z tried to blend into the shadows. Shakily getting to her feet, she scowled in Z's general direction, "As much as I would like to talk, and trust me there's a lot to talk about, I need to get out of here before I end up as a pincushion." Both turned at a noise to their left and despite the pain in her ankle, which was spreading through her leg, Sakura stepped in front of Z, muscles tense. "Get out of here, now."

Val was busy opening doors one by one, and checking each room in that hall from yesterday. so far he'd gotten into 3 of them before he heard a crash farther down the hall. it was faint, behind closed door and easily 30 or 40 feet away. he dashed towards the room it came from, unlocked it and ran inside.
he stopped inside the doorway, still clutching the doorknob tightly in his hand. the window was open -- no, shattered -- and the curtains were blowing in the wind. the garderobe was opened messily, with a few clothes fallen off their hangers.
wonderful...[/i he thought, growling. he had only one choice; he had to follow her.
quickly tying a rope of clothes, Valthier rappelled down the side of the building to about 2/3rds before dropping to the ground. there were rocks and glass everywhere, and bits of blood. leastways he had a trail to follow... he grumbled in irritation at the cold of the cliffside.

Z lowered her eyebrows, turning her head just the tiniest bit to stare off with a distant gaze into the night. The gun was instantly up again, a dull gleam keeping Z's location hidden with the dark metal tempered so as to not give her location away in the night. The safety clicked off at the same time, instinct before Z actually even saw the person approaching. "I don't know if to believe you or not, but one thing's for sure..." Z walked towards Sakura, shouldering past the dark elf. "I can fight my own battles..." Eyes hard as they slid over to meet the vampire's, Z's own eyes bled to violet and her fangs extended as the hybrid prepared to fight...or hunt. Looking back to the front, Z moved to cover Sakura's injured right side, tilted to be a harder target for range weapons and apparently disregarding the danger of being pure white, in the open, with a nearly-full moon in the sky making Z's skin practically glow with a silver and ethereally unreal, heartbreaking beauty. Such purity....such dangerous attraction, Z's passive 'abilities' due to her unique...condition...turning her into a sort of hunting goddess...a succubus of sorts against her will. Everything only enhanced at night, under the moon. "Who's there," Z growled warningly, the gun not leaving the person's path as they moved, before the hybrid saw it was Twi. Eyes narrowing, Z tilted the gun up towards the sky....but didn't turn the safety on. "What do you want, now?" she snapped, voice tinged with annoyed aggravation and suspicion, voice achingly beautiful and clear despite the rocky growl Z kept up whenever she spoke...or just growled in general.

"so, my prisoners have both escaped together. eloping, are we?" he teased with a cocky grin. "I'm afraid I can't allow that. you see, somebody knows more than she is supposed to, and I cannot allow a Kuro to escape from within my secret base of operations. I don't know what you are planning, Kuro... but it will not be. Don Luca and Nyx must be stopped, before they destroy Gaia!"this last bit was spat towards Sakura, as she clutched at her injured side. Twi didn't even flinch at the sight of Z's gun, and was curious asto why she raised it to point at the sky. but he kept his gaze level and stoic.

Sakura shuddered slightly, Val's words ringing in her ears along with the most recent threats. "What do you mean by 'secret base'? And isn't it true you were once a member of the Kuro gang yourself, Valthier?" Sakura couldn't help but smirk slightly, despite the emotional and physical pain. However, her smirk was replaced with a frown as she chose her next words carefully. "My plan was to be the one chosen to go after this young woman and bring her back. Once aboveground, I planned to befriend her and you in hopes of trying to help both Gaia and myself. My reasoning? My parents and cousin who raised me were killed by the Kuro Gang under Luca's orders. I wanted revenge, so I joined under an assumed name and uncovered a lot of information. This includes the fact that yes, Luca Kuro has help from Nyx. There is a way to stop them but I'm afraid it might be too late." Sakura winced due to her long speech and the searing pain in her leg. She looked pleadingly at Val, "I'm sorry but panic does strange things to an already slightly traumatized dark elf and vampier hybrid." She sent him a pleading look and waited...
