could maybe be either a tidewalker or a borderwalker, due to family ties
Haunted by his naming dream and a subsequent near-drowning as a foal, Drowning is absolutely terrified of water (which makes living in a swamp rather difficult). He traveled to the ocean with his mother Little Island when he was young, and has nightmares of huge waves towering over him and taking him away. Often he feels like his fears and anxieties and mental tics are overtaking him, sweeping away his personality bit by bit.
(Maybe heading back to the Borderwalkers, where his mother stayed while she was pregnant with him? Wishing to venture to the desert where water is scarce? How can he get through his trauma?)

She is loyal to her tribe but loves her family, her siblings, and her father, and often feels guilty that she was the only kimeti in a clutch of acha and by virtue of this alone seems to have a more important place in the tribe. Because of this guilt, Crosswinds is more of a follower than a leader, and seeks the approval of her siblings before doing pretty much anything. Constantly stretched thin from trying to "fix everything" between the acha in her family and the hostility of Bitterleaf and the rest of the tribe, Crosswinds sometimes serves as a kind of mediator. Her loyalties lie unquestioningly with her acha siblings, but she is often too meek and ashamed to speak up for them as much as she would like. Her half-acha grandmother, Sea Bird, is probably the adult she is closest to, and Crosswinds often goes to her for advice and support when she is struggling with her kimeti-ness and the hurt her siblings feel. Discord is Crosswinds' favorite sibling, the one whom she looks to the most for approval and will stand up for as much as she can. Though she will do this for all of her siblings, Discord in particular is often angry, hurt, and disappointed with her lot in life, and Crosswinds does her best to be an unwavering source of support for her. SPOTTED SEAL certSELKIE (tidewalker? ask rejam. sort of half-sisters/friends w Stolen Skin) found an abandoned seal pup on the beach and tried to nurse it back to health but it dieed --> sealskin she wears in remembrance. Super strong swimmer. Morose and moons around staring at the ocean a lot. Prefers being in water to being on land. An extremely strong swimmer. natural bribe from rejam
