"I'm a bear bestial, yeah." He said, looking around. He didn't much like standing in the middle of the stall aisles. He was too big of a roadblock for one, too easy a target for another. He glanced over at the fountain, nodding towards it. "Shall we?"

His hand came up just slightly, hovering beside her in an instinctively protective motion. He didn't want to accidentally run over her or anything, after all. Though how much he would tell her was another matter. He wasn't much for talking, after all.

"Certainly..." Tessa conceded. The woman wove her way gracefully through the crowds towards the fountain, and seemed to have little trouble navigating through the masses. She perched lightly on the fountain's edge and leaned back on her hands.

"So what brings you to the festival. I find it fascinating to discover why people come here. I was told to, so here I am. But many seem to be here for a myriad number of choices."

He almost laughed again at how much she talked, taking a seat on the ground, worried that his weight might be a bit too much for the fountain. But he leaned back against it, smirking slightly as he looked up at her. "I'm a fighter." He said simply, as if that explained everything.

"And I'm looking for some... information." he added, as an after thought. "Who told you?" He asked, changing the subject.

"A fighter!" Tessa exclaimed, her eyes lighting up with interest. "Will you be fighting here in any of the events. I would certainly like to watch. I imagine I can craft a grand ballad of the might ursine warrior that way." She seemed lost in thought for a moment or two as her muse began chiseling ideas inside her skull. Then she snapped back to the moment when she realized she'd been asked a question.

"Oh, my Lord Telperinquar En'Lojist. My family has served as his house bards for many generations. He is quite aged and could't make the journey himself to the festival, so he sent me with his youngest son. Alcion."

She peered at him curiously. "What sort of info were you looking for. Those in my profession do tend to pick up bits and pieces quite readily."

"A servant, huh..." He looked thoughtful for a second. He had been close to a servant for Janel, if you thought about it. But he had gained something from the experience. He wondered if this female did...

"I might find a fight, I might see how the gladiator rings are ran here. But I'm here to find out more about..." He nodded towards the artificer's stall where they had met. "Magic items." He finished, not knowing how else to describe them.

Tessa blinked. That was something she knew very little of, as the En'Lojist household kept their servants away from magical items. "Ah...very interesting. If I find out anything, I'll poke about. And I'll keep an eye out on the gladiator rings to see if I can spot you competing." She looked up and blanched at the time of day.

"It was nice to meet you. I'm Tessa, by the way. But as the sun is climbing, I have to return to Alcion's lodgings and prepare for the day." With a wave, the woman rose from the fountain and headed off out of the marketplace at a hurried pace.

He watched her go for a second, mentally noting who she was, then stood, heading back to the artificer's stall. Hopefully this time he might find someone that could answer his question...

Another day, another good chunk of time Spade spent time searching for more plants and herbs. She had been mildly sucsessful before, but she still was having a hard time. Alot of people were selling food. But she was looking more for roots, leaves and seeds, rather then the food they produced in the end. It was good fruit though, for she had tried some, but nothing she could take with her. Then is hit her, she could get the seeds herself from the fruit she was currently eating. Taking a sitting spot on the fountain, Which had become her favorite place in the market, she nibbled slowly and maticuliously to trying to dig into the fruit's center with out damaging the seeds with her teeth.

This whole act had to look odd to a passerby, for Spade's attention was solely on the fruit and extracting the seeds. She also was making sure her clothing and face didn't get to sloppy from the juicy fruit and she whiped off her chin and mouth often.

Alcion, again, was sitting by the fountain. Drawing anywhere else was out of question, the crowd was too likely to bump into you and completely ruin the sketch. The fountain still attracted a crowd, but you where much less likely to be bumped into, since the lack of merchant carts made for bigger space. Thus, it had become Alcion's sketching place of choice.

The young elf sighed a little, turning to a blank sheet. Crowds... That was all he had drawn since he had brought those supplies, and he was ratter bored of it. Alcion would and probably could never be someone who could just be told to draw or paint something, and do so - he had to feel like it, really, which was why the youngest son of Telperinquar En'Logist had never thought to pursue an actual career with his art. Especially since, frankly, he didn't need to at all.

It was then that green eyes caught on the unusual scene that Spade created. Oh, this was perfect... Quietly, he turned to see her better, and began to sketch again, starting with pale lines, geometrical forms that would eventually create her body.

Paying no attention to the artist, she continued to nibble and chew her way into the fruit. It was such a new taste to her, she was trying to enjoy it, while her mind was bent on the task or removing the seeds without crushing them in her teeth like she would usually do. You never knew the potential of a seed till you removed it and examined it. Some could be poisonious, some could be helpful, you never knew until you took the time to disect it and find out. Though seed study she hadn't gotten up to yet. She still had alot to learn from Brum.

As she was going at it, she noticed not only did this juicy fruit have seeds, but a pit as well.

"Facinating."

She murmered as she cleaned off her face with a bit of a cloth, making sure nothing stayed on her face to make it stickly later. She continued to stare into the fruit as her other hand whiped down her nose, mouth and face.

The fact that she kept moving didn't seem to disturb Alcion much. As long as she was actually THERE, he could manage something. He was not the kind of artist to ask people to pose. He liked action, movement, and random things - things you would NEVER be able to get with a model posing for you and trying to be the prettiest it could. There was a certain... fluidity that didn't make it in the final piece, he thought. He liked that fluidity, and if he lost it in the process, he always found his art to be lacking, and not like the subject at all.

After all, especially when drawing a person, appearance is not all they are. The way they move, the way they react, the little gestures they did without truly realizing it, where all part of a person and the young elf found it saddening that some put this aspect behind in their art, and only focus on eyecandy. After all, not everything in the world was plain eyecandy... And it was what he liked to represent in his art. To bring a portrait to like, you needed this spark - it was one of the points he could argue for hours on ends without any second thought, and those where few and far in between, as the elven noble was too soft-spoken for his own good.

But none of this mattered at the moment. What did was the sheet of paper, and Spade. His movements became less broad, and more precise, working on actually turning the mass of shapes into an armadillo beastwoman, which would probably be no easy task for him, he knew. It was just not what he was used to draw, but he liked the idea of a challenge.

Even if she knew he was paying so much attention to her, she wouldn't have minded to much, though maybe the tips of her ears would ahve become red with a tinge of embaressment with the attention she looks seemed to bring. But she was more interested in the fruit.

Once her face was washed off, she placed down the cloth and brought up the fruit to nibble more, holding it with one hand as she sought out her diary in her bag with the other hand. She pulled out the diary and placed it on her lap and her hand dipped back into the bag to extract her pencil. It must have been interesting to watch, her managing to write with her pencil. Most of her hands were dominated by heavy, thick claws with her race mostly used to dig with. Though she was using it to hold a small pencil and slowly, but fluidly write into her diary. She was recording her findinds.

Alcion found it truly interesting. It was the first time he actually saw a bestial person from this close, having remained home most of his life before now. He much preferred reading and arts to travels of grand proportions, and didn't see much point in them, beside new landscapes to paint. He had no dreams of glory and grandeur, apart maybe his bottomless thirst of knowledge.

That fact would probably give Tessa problems if she was ever to write a song about him, but then the thought of asking her to do so never seemed to have crossed his mind... Especially not if they where as glorified as the one his father had her write on him. Alcion respected his father, yes, but he did not process all those qualities... neither did he, and neither did most living beings - no one could be perfection.

What would be the point of living, if you where perfect in every way ? What would there be left to do... ? Nothing, the elf believed. Thus, he did not aim for perfection, but ratter, he preferred to aim for the closest thing.

Spade's face was giving him problems. A pointed ear twitched slightly in thought, the many earrings it bore making a sight tingle that was lost in the sound of the crowd. Not willing to ruin an otherwise close sketch, he turned the page and decided to draw her face until he got it right.

Spade was writting and nibbling for a while before her hand lost grip on the pencil. It tumbled down her dress and on to the floor. Leaning over, she picked it up and as she brought up her head she noticed the elf. Looking at her. With quick glances about, she noticed that she was the main focus of the Elves attention. And he seemed to be drawing something. With her eyes darting as she thought, she was a bit embrassed and also a bit curious. Though she was not sure which emotion was going to win out. She just hung there, body hunched over with her pencil in her hand, looking the Elfs direction and deciding how she should react.

Alcion froze, likewise, when her glance crossed his's. He seemed uncertain, himself - some people didn't LIKE to be drawn, after all. Maybe she was one of those people ? Hopefully she wouldn't be too mad if she was... He didn't really feel like either upsetting someone, or running like if he had a demon running right after him. That, and his dad would be unhappy if he heard of something like this happening...

Not really knowing what to do, he made a shy smile and, well, waved at her.
