"Now THAT is how my flea ridden ski- YEEEK!" She let out a small shriek as Nuk tackled her tugging her hat off, hands reached up to try and snatch the beloved piece of head ware as he spun her about giving her the noogie of a lifetime before blinding her with her own hat. Ultimately she broke down laughing. Nuk was a p***k, but he was Shehk's p***k and one of her best friends. He was the only one she let get away with messing her hat and hair up. Well Siddie did too, but only because she insisted on making her hair up for the battle of the bands. "Oh you know my cunning plots all to well Nuk, ever one step ahead." She said as she fixed her hat with a wicked grin. She would get him for this, itching powder on his pelt sounded like a good start.
She turned to Shehk nodding and was about to head towards Rain when her friend b-lined back to Nuk. "Ohlord... he's going to scare everyone while doing his job..." Following along she could only stifle a laugh about skullface on skullface ackshuns.
"The alternative? You mean besides bothering me you mean trying to make out with you?" Scooting past Shehk she gave her a light pat on the shoulder and a smirk, "Sooo many 'alternatives' you guys can try~"
Sammy was such a horrible friend. "Aw'cmon Calder was it?" She followed after the boy listening to his complaints, "Hey hey, Nuk might be a jerk but he brings Shehk gifts, and even if it looks like he's tormenting me I give him just as much trouble."

"Really? That would be wonderful! There is so much I don't know. My caretaker was a gnome before I came here - he was nice to me but as I have found out the gnomes are a lot different than most folks!' Igneous laughed a little at the memory of some of the first days at the academy. It had been quite a surprise to find out that most gnomes were thought of as nuisances at best and abject creatures sent to destroy the lives of all in their path at worst.
"I've never met a werewolf before. I do know a spider demon and a vampiress though! We were part of the band competition. I would be happy to introduce you sometime."

"Thanks, I was kind of lost and all alone there," Siddie chirped, sounding far from at a loss, though anyone watching closely might have seen her shoulders relax just a little as Tahki and Amrita greeted her. "It really was some game, wasn't it? I think you and I had better watch out for the number eight for a while, just in case." She gave the gryphon girl a friendly smile.
"I'm Obsidian, but that's a mouthful, you can call me Siddie." She bobbed her head to Lucien, then to Amrita. "Wow, you have really pretty hair," she said to the undead ghoul.

Claire only really wanted to be here for the food. Well, that and the prospect of making friends, but she really was quite hungry. Her stomach agreed with a small "nom!" that she should enter. She noticed that most people were already engaged in conversation, so she just lingered around the punch bowl awkwardly.
It was rather delicious and she had to stop herself from drinking it all.

Lucien looked at Tahki and tilted his head. Was he new? He didn't think he was new. He had been in the skies for a long time! He was pleased to have gone unnoticed though. That would be a handy skill to have. His parents would be pleased. But he wasn't new, so it was a simple answer and it started with Lucien shaking his head in a no response.
"I am not new," he said. "You do not look new either."
A pause.
"You have nice wings," he said.
He looked down to Amrita who had a familiar look on her face and replied to her with an "Of course, of course, the wind of course."
It took a moment though, and Lucien finally noticed Obsidian who asked to join them. He didn't mind although he immediately said "Hello Obsidian," before she could even mention to call her Siddie. After a moment, he looked down to look at Amrita and he noticed her behavior seemed to change. It changed much like it had when they first met and he found himself reaching to pat her gently on the head just like he had in the past.
"I like your hat," he said abruptly.

Still feeling a bit out of place, Claire decided to join in on a conversation. She was caught off-guard when she noticed a girl who had backwards hands and backward feet and backward...everything.
Instantly curious, she headed toward the girl.
"Excuse me, your hands are backwards." She said, pointing to her hands.
"And your feet are, too." how tactful.

LW couldn't help the giggle that escaped her. Those gnomes! Oh she had heard stories about the ones around here. The wise words imparted on her were to be wary around them. The she-wolf had definitely taken those words of warning to heart since she'd been enrolled at the school. "I can only imagine how different they are." She smiled at Iggy, tail always in constant motion and currently lazily swinging from side to side behind her.
At the mention of a band competition and other creatures she could meet, LW perked up. "Band competition? Oh you must have had so much fun with that!" The she-wolf would have loved it. Especially if she was able to dance around a little while playing an instrument. "I'd love to meet anyone you want to introduce. You are the only ghoul I know right now." Violet eyes glanced around again, drawn towards the commotion that had been ongoing with some creatures. Mainly due to one biol. She'd have to keep her eye on that one. He had an air about him that struck at her mischievous side. He was one to watch out for.
"So, how many others do you know here?" LW asked giving Iggy her attention again.

"I'm Amrita." The little Vetala murmured, offering a brief glance and a smile at Siddie. The smile grew bigger - or at least as big as it could, considering she had little lip left - at the compliment. The head pat by Lucien definitely helped as well, and she played with her hair a little less, though she did still hold onto it. "Thank you." She said honestly, a little louder than she had spoken previously. "I lik---"
She stopped her attempt to return the compliment, instead looking over at the new Ghoul to join them...one that had a mouth on her stomach?! She was...talking about her hands? Almost as if she forgot they were backwards, she released her hair to look down at her hands, and then at her heels. Absently, she shifted to stand a little closer to her Gryphon friend.
"Umm...Yes." Amrita murmured, back to being quiet and avoiding eye contact. "I...I know." On the inside she was absolutely bursting with joy at how many creatures were around her, talking to her...but at the same time, it was the most she'd ever dealt with in a single shot, and she was rather overwhelmed.
Oh goood what should she do?! In a bit of a panic, she decided to repeat herself. "I'm Amrita." She murmured stiffly, glancing at the new girl before gesturing to everyone else around her in the same stiff manner. "A-And this is Tahki, and Lucien, and...umm...S-Siddie?" She hoped she got the other Ghoul's name right! She found herself glancing at the Shadow Ghoul for confirmation. But...what if they didn't want to be introduced! Ohgod she could mess everything uuuup.

Sin blinked as she noticed someone crawling out from under the refreshment table, and then her eyes narrowed as she recognized who it was. She walked over to the little green monster and glanced under the table.
"Hello Chuppi...did you loose something?" Except her faintly raised eyebrow and tone suggested that she knew nothing was lost except the chupacabra's spine. This was who she had lost to? She felt her muscles clench a bit but slowly tried to calm herself down...mama was right she had to be...gracious. Besides it looked like Chuppi was having as hard a time being the winner as Sin was being the loser.
"So...congratulations on your win..." The words were bitter in her mouth but she managed to say them without any bile. Then she stopped as she noticed how...scared Chuppi really looked and she forced a smile herself. "I'm sure you'll do great..."
Chuppi wanted to crawl back under the table now, and possibly die in the process.
"Um...thank you. I will do my best to fulfill what I have promised, as well as what you promised too. I think you had many good ideas, so I hope you don't me wanting to try to accomplish your goals as well. If...if you don't mind, that is."
During the conversation Chuppi pulled the Thermos from her mouth and looked up at the demon, her red eyes nearly shaking in her head from nerves. Of course she knew that with her winning it meant that Sin lost, but at the very least the girl didn't seem too upset.

How much could she take, was this the power of Jack testing her? She bit her tongue until she tasted blood and then forced her smile to stay in place. Hmm she was getting way to much practice with that, it wasn't a good sign.
"Of course not...why would I mind, I just want what's best for everyone. If you need some help let me know..." What on earth possessed her to say THAT? She did not want to have to help her opponent shine, especially if Chuppi was going to run again next time. It still stung to think that the little monster who cried at the drop of a hat had beaten her. Be open her mother had said, open yes...maybe Chuppi possessed some inner strength that would get her through this. Except Sin had a nasty feeling that she could probably bully Chuppi into quitting if she tried hard enough. Except of course she wouldn't she couldn't do that, Chuppi had won the votes fair and square and she deserved her chance...as much as it pained Sin to accept it.
"So, how do you and rain get along? Since you'll be helping her out the most right?" She really had to work of being friendly, just letting it go.

Igneous had also watched the commotion on the other side of the room. What in the name of Jack were they doing over there? With a shrug she brought herself back to her new... friend?
"The band competition was a lot of fun! I was in LIT - we sang love ballads that we rocked up. We got knocked out in the second round though - that was when it became a battle and not music. We had to fight the other students, not so much fun." Igneous still felt bad about her band's loss -if only she had thrown that drum a little more carefully!
"I sorta know some of the track team members from tryouts but not much - just by name. I haven't spent a lot of time with others yet - still trying to figure out this living thing. Chip is my best friend, but I didn't bring him in case someone got hungry here - pigeons make good snacks for some of the students!"
The wistful tone in her voice made it clear she wanted to meet more people. And she did! Iggy was just unsure how to go about it - Pickfoot (her gnome guardian) had said to just go up and grab someone you wanted to meet, but that just didn't seem right here.

Oddly enough it was Obsidian who saw it first. It was a pink elephant. No seriously, a pink elephant. It was simply walking around back and forth, circling the punch bowl table as if there was nothing wrong with it. For some reason, noone but Obsidian could see it.

"You had to fight the other students?" She asked with big eyes. Well, that was one jacking cool band competition then! Too bad the she-wolf hadn't been here yet. "I bet you guys were lovely to hear." LW said with a smile. She had already started thinking of the ghoul as her friend and felt relaxed talking with her. Her first friend at school!
LW scanned the crowd again, always wary of what was going on around her. It was that prankster in her. That side of the she-wolf had taught her to be aware of her surroundings. How else were you supposed to know when a professor was coming to bust you? "Well that's alright. We'll both be starting in the same spot, only know really one person." She smiled at Iggy. "We'll work together and make more friends." And to accomplish that, she just had to find some other creatures that they could go introduce themselves to.
Those violet eyes spotted the ghoul from before. The one that she had first met. What was that one's name again? Not Rain. Kasumi. "I just met that one ghoul over there, Kasumi. We could go talk with her and add another to the list of creatures we know." LW grinned at the former statue, tail swishing in excitement. "What do you think?"

Tahki gave siddie a warm smile. The gryphon knew all to well what it was like to be alone at a party so she was happy to help. Siddie seemed like a nice ghoul too.
"No problem. Number eight?" The gryphon scratched her head and blushed, "The double eights were a surprise." She admitted. Before she could utter another word Lucien complimented her on her wings. Tahki blinked.
"O-oh thank you," She was one to get a little awkward over that sort of thing. "Y-your goggles are way cool."
Tahki was just about to say something more when another ghoul joined them. Specifically the new ghoul had come up to Amrita and pointed out that her limbs were on backwards. Tahki had always figured that to be a normal trait among the undead. Was it not? This new girl had a mouth on her stomach and for the love of headphones Tahki could not stop staring at her middle.
Amrita shifted closer to her which automatically triggered Tahki to wrap her arm around her.
"Nice to meet you," The gryphon blinked feeling half dazed.

Siddie beamed at Amrita. "Yes, that's r - ... ... ... "
There was an elephant in the room. Predictably enough, everyone was ignoring it. Siddie glanced around nervously. Well ... if nobody was talking about it ... and it was so obvious, how had she not noticed it before? She swallowed hard, pasted her cheerful smile back on her face, and proceeded to pretend that the elephant didn't exist.
