As the 3 of them walked out into the gardens Mystic exclaimed "Oh look at the beautiful flowers, aren't they simply lovely?"
Mystic thought long and hard before talking again. When she did she directed it at Anju. "We must talk." she merely stated.
"There is something afoot and we need to address it as soon as possible. My sister still has much to learn about magic, but you and I are masters. We must move fast or great peril with come on our kingdom."

>*~ Yes the flowers are lovely, aren't they? I helped plant some of them but most of them were done by some of the servants we had. Mia walked towards the rose bushes and picked one. The Rose is a beautiful flower and somewhat similar to humans. First a bud, then a beautiful flower, then it withers and dies. She stared at the Rose quietly with sad eyes. I'm so sorry that I cannot assist you in any battles of such, I have not yet figured out my powers, I feel so useless, please forgive me. She directed to Mystic and Anju. ~*<

Anju walked with the girls into the gardens and gazed at awe in these flowers. "I am a master of ice magic and dabble with light. As such, in the climate where I learned to hone my frigid abilities, I did not get to see much of flowers, as they could not survive where I was." she said kneeling happily and letting the sight of the beautiful flower overcome her.
Rising back up she turned towards Mia and pulled something out of her pocket. It looked like a small rod with a small moon at the tip and held it out for Mia. "Your highness, this is a wand I used when I was a little girl. It's just a practice wand, but it is very much capable of helping you to learn to focus your energy. Watch..." Anju then stared intently at the moon at the tip and it suddenly started glowing very softly as Anju poured some of her energy into it. "If you would like, I could help try to train you in the arts of focusing your energy to create this glow." She released the wand's energy and the moon returned to normal. "That being said, I would feel more comfortable not having you on the battlefield, your Highness. I would not want something bad to happen to one of our nation's rulers. I would never forgive myself if something happened."
Anju turned next to Mystic, "I understand. Please, do tell me what is happening?

Mystic looked at the Roses and then at her sister & Anju. "It has been foretold in the ancient books that an evil that lurks in the shadows will come. It will come in the form of a person close to us and attempt to destroy our kingdom. We must find this person before it is too late!"
Mystic then appeared to go into some sort of trance and when she spoke again it was something only Anju understood.
At that point Anju knew that the Ancients had spoken directly to her. As the trance lifted Mystic looked at Anju. "You understand?" she asked.

Anju's face grew pale as she listened to the Ancients speak. She fell down to her knees and stared with a very blank face. She was trying to speak but words couldn't and wouldn't come to her. She clutched her staff tightly until her knuckles turned white. So many emotions were filtering through Anju right now that she could barely contain herself.
"This...can't...be..." she muttered weakly.

Mystic looked at Anju. She knew only too well that the Ancients had spoken. But what had they told Anju to make her look so pale.
Anju! Tell me what have they said to you? she asked.

Anju looked up at her with grief stricken eyes. "They.. they told me..." Anju shook her head patted her face a few times before gripping her staff and pushing it against the ground, helping her to slowly stabilize and regain her ground.
"They told me... of a world... a world enveloped by darkness and peril. A world of much torment. Screaming, agony... fear... it's all I could see or hear. Very many vile and despicable things can occur.... and.." she turned to look at Mia with very sad eyes. "To you... I..." she shook her head again. "I cannot even let myself think of those things... They did not tell me who it is that is to bring this calamity... Just that our kingdom is a central key in maintaining order and balance throughout the nation... They did, however, say that the person already has the power to do what they will. I can only believe it means that someone among the upper order within our ranks is the betrayer...."
Anju turned once again to Mystic, her eyes still filled with sorrow. "I have never heard of such anguish my whole life, and the images that flashed through my mind... It was as if hell itself had taken a hold of our precious kingdom. We simply cannot let this pass."

"Then we must act at once, there is no time to waste."
Mystic looked at her sister and could see the pain in her eyes. This was far beyond her. Her magic was still not strong enough. Mystic thought for a few minutes before she spoke again.
When she did it was of hope. "Anju, there are many among us with the gift of magic. We must gather them altogether so that we will be strong." She then handed a pouch to Anju. "Here take this, it will help."
Mystic herself knew it was time for her to go and see the Ancients. They needed all the help they could get. She wondered if this was why the King had suddenly left.

"I understand." Anju noted. She then looked curiously at the pouch that was handed to her. "What is...?" she began, wondering what the item was actually going to be for.
Anju looked briefly at the Queen and spoke to her, "Fear not, your Highness. You will be protected at all costs. And as for our civilians, we will do all we can to keep them protected without throwing them into a panic."

"You must come with me to speak with the Ancients sister. Only they can tell you what your powers are to be & only they can help you develop them."
With that Mystic walked back toward the Palace knowing they had not a moment to lose.

Anju nodded at Mystic and spoke to the Queen, "They will be of much greater help to you than I. You can keep that wand and practice on your way, though. Take care you two."
Anju knew that she had to wander back to the town and gather up her fellow mages. But before heading out, she spoke aloud too, "This battle may take more than a few magic tricks, perhaps the guards and knights should be notified as well?" She thought about it for a second and continued, "Though it is not my place to call for them, as my rank is far from being one of a commanding position." She hastily made her way towards the door, ready to assemble other mages.

Mystic heard Anju's request and at once she turned to faced her. "yes. You should tell them."
And with that she disappeared.

Anju halted when she heard the command and turned to look at her but saw that she had already gone. Anju scurried on her way, thinking to herself, Now how can I notify the knights and guards without simultaneously also alerting the town and causing widespread panic? This issue slightly perplexed Anju and she leaned against the wall for a moment to think it over.
