Gemini B grinned a little more broadly at his description of the chainmail, figuring he was referring to the senshi 'make up' process when he said it was made from pixie dust and magic. He got the magic part down at least -- in fact, it was with a great deal of magic and sparkles which the senshi powered up, with even the menshi practically glowing by the time they were done. Which, to be honest, she'd always thought to be a hilarious concept, despite the fact that her other half had to go through the same process as they henshined. It didn't really do much for their image, really... not even the girls. Sometimes it was a wonder that the evils of the universe really took them seriously. Still, dressed as he was, there was little doubt that if Hephaistos wasn't taken seriously, it definitely wouldn't be because of what he was wearing.
Who wouldn't want to be saved by a knight in chainmail?
Meeting his gaze evenly, Gemini Beta returned the gesture by offering her own palm, clasping his tightly and giving it a firm squeeze before shaking it amiably. "Gemini Beta, the female half of the Gemini duo, Senshi of Duality," she replied with a slight pep to her voice, giving a little nod in agreement about the party, "Yeah, it's been quite interesting, to say the least. At least Princess Chronos seems to be enjoying herself." Jerking her head a little in her princess' direction, she quirked an eyebrow at him questioningly, going back to address what he'd said before.
"Be kind, rewind: so, you're a newbie, huh?"
~~~
Pegasus paused when she felt the warm sensation of a hand on her gloved wrist, thinking for a moment it might be Chibimoon trying to get her attention, so it was with a little surprise that a male voice called her name, distinctly familiar. She knew that voice... from not that long ago, actually. Even before she turned around, the image of Euterpe straightening up his uniform flashed behind her eyes, so that when she did finally turn a little to semi-face him, her surprise had nearly completely drained from her features. He looked well, actually, although not much different than when she saw him before, with a few exceptions: he didn't have to adjust his scarf and belt, and he was grinning more broadly than when he had fallen out of the tree. The latter kind of surprised her, actually... she didn't usually think of people grinning when they saw her, unless it was Chibimoon. And maybe Flora.
Giving him an even, almost life-less stare, the senshi of dreams blinked slowly as he addressed her, although she was unable to keep from quirking an eyebrow at him. Which was something -- much more than she'd given most recently. Still, her reply came out monotone, perhaps with a slightly more clipped edge to it... although it was clear Euterpe was having some effect on her, as she hadn't pulled her wrist out of his grip.
"Is there something you need?" she replied questioningly, patient despite the obvious air of wanting to leave.
Indeed the process of becoming Sailor Hephaistos was about as revealing as a run through the TSA screening at a local airport. Strip down from the civis in a flash of light and peeling metal like shards and sparkles. Wham-bam magical lights and suddenly it all threaded together in the form of a chainmail worn with a bit of fabric and plenty of magical badassery ready to go. However unlike some male Senshi he had pants, shirt, everything Castor probably wanted from the start but was told 'not yet' when he wanted it.
And if he knew what Beta was thinking he would agree; he got to be the knight in slightly shiny chainmail armor.
"Pleasure to meet you Beta female half of the Gemini Duality Twins. Your male part wear a kilt that short too?" It was a joke of course, the kilt was actually far more manly then some of the short shorts and skirts sported by the others in the party. Turning he followed her gaze towards the princess offering her a short wave. "So you guys work for her like a personal guard?" He continued to offer a happy wave at her none the less.
"Rewound, shall we start with the greetings again but yes, I'm a newb to the whole saving the world deal. Some folks mentioned a mentor system but I don't see anyone taking us in soooo. I was thinking of heading on out?"
If Euterpe knew that Pegasus recognized him on voice alone, he would have claimed it to be one of the highest flatteries. The only thing higher was telepathy. But as the rest of the world knows, even Superman couldn't accomplish that. He took in her reluctant movements and pale expression with ease. Small things wouldn't deter him! Although one could reasonably point out, neither did the big things.
So Pegasus's air of reluctance to speak and stay was one of the many things that wouldn't discourage Euterpe.
He returned her stare with a cheerful expression of his own, stepping between Pegasus and the exit to subtly prevent her from leaving. His grip still remained lightly on her wrist, his other hand gesturing to the rest of the room. "Icy as usual. But that's one of your best qualities." He pointed out, a little relieved that she didn't move. Yet. "Hm.. I didn't need something so much as .." One hand posed, making a smart gesture with his hand on chin, as if looking off dramatically into the distance. ".. wanting your company? We barely get to see each other anyways. Mingle. It makes for great bonding time, you know." Euterpe tugged on her wrist, encouraging her to follow him into the room.
"Although I'm betting you know more of them than I do. What's my senshi count? Uh.. four?" He guessed, glancing to the room full of unknown people. All heroes-- you'd think there was some sort of directory on them.
Super Sailor Saiph had kept silent during the meeting. Instead, she hung back listening to the arguments conversations around her. And watching the various senshi. Some she recognized and badly wanted to go talk to, like Castor or Alcyone. Others she was content to observe from a distance and avoid. And then there was Chibimoon. Part of Saiph wanted to go to her, pledge loyalty, support, anything the small, pink haired girl might want. The other part whispered to wait and see what happened. After all, Chibimoon might be a Princess, but she wasn’t the Princess who haunted Saiph’s dreams. How much loyalty was the girl owed in such a case? And what had she meant when she’d said this time was all wrong? Something like a parallel timeline or just a mis-translation? No, she wanted a chance to think before she tried to talk to the little Princess.
A whisper of air behind the Primordial senshi was the only warning she had before a warm and gentle hand fell on her shoulder. Glancing back, she spared the ridiculously tall senshi behind her a smile. She still wasn’t entirely certain how she’d gotten attached to Alshain, but she couldn’t argue with it.
“You going to say anything, love?” she whispered. “There’s nothing really here for me right now.”
The tall strawberry-blond gave Saiph’s shoulder a careful squeeze with one hand while the other stroked his goatee in thought. The Senshi of Gryphons watched the ball of senshi around Sailor Chibimoon and then shook his head ruefully. There were a million questions that he wanted to ask the girl, but he didn’t want to crowd her any more than she already was. Still.
“I thought you wanted to ask about that tree? About purifying?”
“I do. But not right now. Maybe if I could just talk to Chibimoon and Chronos alone, but that won’t happen tonight. Not much else to do in such a case but mingle, and I was never a mingling type.”
She felt Alshain’s arm circle her shoulders, lending silent support as he sensed her discomfort. Listening to the discussion between Alcyone and a rather overdressed looking senshi, Saiph felt her stomach sour. Fight or don’t fight. Kill or don’t kill. Not a word about trying to save, redeem the people they fought. No one seemed to consider that some form of purification might be an option. It was something that Saiph had often thought about and discussed with her teammates. She knew that Sailor Moon, the Princess, could purify things and burn the evil away. She’d done it to the Makaiju. And it had come back to earth for more of the same not that long ago. And died... Saiph shuddered and pushed THAT particular thought away. She didn’t want to remember that terrible night at the moment. What she wanted were answers that she wasn’t likely to get in such a crowd.
It was nice to have her cousin lean on her, and Chronos squeezed the smaller girl gently with a smile. There was no tension here like there was between Rosalind and Alcyone; the Princess of the Zodiac felt content to just sit back and let the Moon Senshi greet their own Princess. Flora on the other hand, was scanning as many senshi as she could, including the young girl Castor brought forward. Of course, Castor's appearance brought a raised eyebrow to the Handmaiden's face accompanied with an acknowledging grin.
Chronos too, was glad to see the Senshi of Hail, laughing as he took her hand and struck a dramatic pose. He never failed to be a cheerful presence (although Flora might call it crudely over-theatrical) and although his expression changed, she focused on the good news. "It's perfectly alright, Castor. I'm glad to know that you've found a princess suited for you." It was always nice to see people who deserved it hooking up with those they loved. "Ice cream is wonderful." She bobbed her head in agreement. "If we're having an ice-cream party, you'll have to come too, Chibi!"
"Hey violin boy." Flora replied, finally tearing her eyes away from the senshi phone, but not before scanning him quickly. She didn't have much time to talk to him however, being momentarily distracted by Castor's presence. As Castor talked with the Princess, blue eyes followed Euterpe's retreating back out of curiosity until she spotted a familiar figure besides him.
That was all the encouragement she needed to snap her phone shut and follow him.
"PE- GA- SUS!~" Flora chirped out, giving the eternal senshi a surprise hug from the back, arms wrapping around the other's shoulders and bouncing with glee. "My gosh, I haven't seen you in a while and I've missed you do you know I think Chronos is looking for you she said she needed to have an important talk with you about something which sounds very extremely important-ay and university is so busy and I miss Crystal and the dorms and..." It took a while for her to realize that she was babbling all too excitedly and took a few deep breaths to calm herself down. Refusing to relinquish her hold on her best friend, Flora settled her chin on Rea's shoulder thoughtfully, winking at Eutrepe. "So you know violin boy, eh? What other dastardly secrets have you been keeping from me since we left each other?"
Castor smiled, glad to see the gentle green haired princess was doing well. "Chibi? Oh you mean-" Blue eyes went to the pink haired princess. She was busy, and his questions, questions about the just what senshi were, could wait. He'd scanned her early on, and Castor was under no illusion of just who she was. He'd attacked the queen and not made a dent, but when she had used her power...the barrier he couldn't even scratch had fallen away. If that wasn't proof of her claim he didn't know what was. "Well, it seems I might have to white knight TWO adorable princesses now! Try not to fight over me too much Chronos, there is plenty of sexy sailor Castor to go around." He did a little jig and laughed, sending a wink to the pink haired one. Hub-bell's assertion of ice cream was spot on. Given that, the senshi of hail let his mouth run off on his idea half cocked. "SENSHI ICE CREAM PARTY AT CASTOR'S! Call me for an address!" He was all smiles tonight. He was in his element again. "Don't worry though Hug-bell, I'd be sure to give you an extra scoop for being extra adorable." Hey, might as well. He could buy a few tubs of ice cream, some plastic bowls and spoons. Sprinkles and syrup. Of course, they'd have to come as civilians. It would be kind of weird to have a bunch of powered people showing up at his apartment. "Now, I'm going to go mingle. Remember Chronos!" He couldn't help but give her a hug. "You ever need a Knight, I'm always on call." His voice was still light hearted but the words were a tad more sincere. "You too your Majesty." A small bow to both ladies and Castor was backing off. Laughing he started wiggling his way back into the crowd. Castor wanted to mingle. He wanted for loosen up a bit before he dealt with some harsher stuff.
Denebola had come to the meeting because frankly, she had questions and wanted answers. After the fiasco she had watched take place at the luchadome (even if she didn't know who were senshi and who were from the negaverse) she could tell that things needed to be talked about. Of course she had never imagined anything on a scale this big. She had a hard time focusing on what most people were saying, because really a lot of it was repetitive, but when Taranis had started to speak. Well her attention had certainly been caught.
If she didn't listen to the senshi who was her mentor then what kind of student was she? A terrible. So she paid close attention and kept her dual colored eyes trained on him. When it moved from senshi to senshi she did her best to pay attention. Really though, she wasn't good at this kind of meeting. She was so new she didn't feel like she had much to contribute so she had remained silent.
But that didn't mean she had remained still. She couldn't keep from moving and at first she had just shifted from leg to leg, then she started walking around, which probably irritated quite a few senshi, and there she was after everything was said and done she kept walking.
Then she bumped into someone.
(gemini's post -- WIP) "Something like that.""Well consider yourself taken in
~~~
Although she was slightly more subtle than most, the way Pegasus' muscles tightened slightly before they relaxed in the other senshi's grip eluded to her ultimate surrender to Euterpe's coercement to stay a little longer, her eyebrows furrowing just slightly as he stepped between herself and the door to seal the deal. The look was only amplified as he went on to call her icy demeanor one of her best qualities, and for a second she looked like she might reply with some sarcastic retort, and a none too kindly one at that. Still, as the moment came and went, the senshi of dreams merely gave him a pointed stare, still unmoving from where she stood, her wrist still in his grip. The fact that she didn't just brush by Euterpe, much less ignore him completely, was a good sign... perhaps he was getting through to her after all? Not just anyone could stop her, certainly not in this mood.
"I'm flattered you would want my company," she replied in slightly dubious tone that clearly stated she wasn't quite sure why he would want that at all, looking in serious danger of rolling her eyes at his dramatic pose, "I doubt anyone else shares the sentiment, however."
The words had no sooner left her mouth when another familiar voice caught her attention, recognizing the sound of her name and echoing a reply just as two pale arms wrapped tightly around her from behind, inhibiting her from turning around a second before she had planned to do so.
"Flora?"
Glancing over her shoulder at her best friend, Pegasus' blue-green eyes grew marginally wider at the senshi of spring's sudden appearance, the surprise etched in her expression breaking the mask of disinterest she had been valiantly sporting not a few moments before. She'd known her teammate was at the meeting, of course -- she'd seen her as she'd come in, making doubly sure to avoid being spotted as she did so. It seemed Euterpe had been followed. She couldn't even pretend to be unhappy about it, however, her expression distinctly warmer as she reached up to squeeze one of her arms, untangling herself with her free arm (Euterpe still had the other) and taking one of Flora's gloved hands in her own, a small smile curling the corners of her lips as the blonde rested her chin on her shoulder.
"I missed you too, and I will of course meet with Princess Chronos whenever she'd like," she replied, taking Eve's stream of happy chatter in stride, very much enjoying the familiarity of her best friend. She meant it, too -- she'd missed her, and the rest of her team. Shifting her eyes back to the boy aptly nicknamed 'violin boy,' Pegasus' gave Euterpe a slightly amused look, although she was clearly addressing Flora as she spoke.
"He fell out of a tree."

"If that was flattery, I would have embellished it with tales of wonder and--" He was about to pull Pegasus closer, possibly continuing on but the sentence would go unfinished because at that moment, the senshi of spring had caught the dream senshi, her arms wrapped around Pegasus.
Euterpe couldn't believe the change, seeing an almost completely side of Pegasus. He watched the moment between the two briefly, dragging his eyes away. Hm. Flora was going to be useful here-- He and Flora needed to talk. Advice. Male to female. But not quite now. He knew better than to interrupt a female conversation though, having earned unjustified (in his opinion) punishment more than once through helpful remarks. A lot, actually. Once Pegasus tried to untangle herself, he realized that his hand still held hers. Quickly, he let the gloved hand go, almost as if caught guiltily in action. If it were Flora or Gunn, he might have held on and swept them into a twirl to an imaginary beat-- Actually, strike out Gunn. She would have slapped him. But .. it didn't matter, he had probably been overstepping his bounds of familiarity with Pegasus anyways.
He laughed sheepishly as Pegasus spoke, taking a step back. "Yeah, well-- In my defense, she completely and totally aced ninja 250. She jumped without her bell even ringing." He made a "poof" gesture in his hands, as if to signal the disappearance of sound. Apparently, that fact had made much bigger of an impact than normal. "I'll leave you both to catch up-- My level of intelligence would be too low to comprehend the rest of your future conversation. Especially if it has any highly intellectual female topics that simply exceed my brainspan-- or whatever the best choice of words is." In otherwords: I'll stand here otherwise, rather dumbly while you catch up. So I'll take my leave.
Two females who hadn't seen each other? This scenario could only go so many ways.

Flora's presence was indeed a clear contradiction to Pegasus' earlier statement, and the Senshi of Spring beamed as the other's face brightened up upon seeing her. "Of course you did!" Flora had never been exactly humble; she was confident that Rea, of course, missed her as much as she did. "If you told me you didn't, I'd be extremely hurt! And proceed to bonk you on the head." She didn't need to elaborate more, ceasing her bounces, still on tiptoe; it wasn't easy when Pegasus had heels and Flora wore flats.
"I'll set it up later then!" Chronos seemed busy with being by Chibimoon's side, which Pegasus would definitely appreciate her doing. "Violin boy fell out of a tree? And hey, Senshi are supposed to be stealthy after all! You'll get the hang of it once you get experience! You didn't seem that clumsy when I met you!" Oho, did that mean something was going on between Pegasus and Euterpe? She'd definitely have to find out if there was!
"You're just saying that to sound nice." She called out teasingly after the Senshi of Music's retreating back. "So, how have you been? I'm at DCU now, and I'm thinking of getting an apartment because living with my parents when I have senshi business seems so much harder."

If Alcyone would later recall this event, she would be a heavy liar if she mentioned there were no ill-feelings felt towards the fanciful senshi of wealth. Sailor Rosalind's words pounded in her ears like a war hammer, thirsty for a strike. The senshi of storms always prided herself in being able to keep her cool even in the most stressful situations, and never letting her temper rise above a simmer if she could, but tonight--tonight, she was being compared to the Negaverse, and it was obvious that the girl she was arguing with was just not getting it through her empty little head.
It took all the will-power she had to not slap her across the face. She very nearly raised her hand in defiance to honor her integrity, but halted once the auburn-haired girl took the insults into a more petty route. Really? She was going to bring in how her fuku looked into this discussion? The girl before her had the maturity of an attention-starved middle schooler at best.
"So it would seem." She stated with a dry smile. It was hard to take her seriously when the word 'poop' crawled out of her mouth. "You have a delightful night, miss...what was your name again? Eh, don't worry about it. I'm sure I'll see you limping around when the toys you break come back after some renovation."
There was a pause as she heard a familiar set of voices nearby. Turning her back towards Rosalind, her smile spread into a more genuine curve as she recognized Pegasus and Flora talking aloud. They would be much more pleasant to converse with, and would certainly brighten up her mood. With her location set, she politely (or was that smugly?) glanced back at her debate partner, lifting a gloved hand to wave good-bye. "Chao."
With that said, her hips rocked back and forth as she made her way towards her old comrades. "Pegasus! Flora! 'Allo!" She called out. "It's been ages! How are you two?!"

Well, Alcyone seemed bothered on some level, but not to the degree that Rosalind had hoped. She was the kind of girl to dig beneath the skin. To ruffle feathers-- that sort of thing. It was an absolute joy for the Soldier of Wealth to see Alcyone turn to leave. A sign of weakness was detected, and Rosalind was triumphant.
As it should have been!
"Hopefully we'll have the pleasure of meeting again, hm?" Bygones were bygones, and Rosalind had dismissed the debate the two had just had-- probably because she was what she deemed to be 'successful,' so the brunette just filed it away as something that wasn't important. Pulling out her sailor phone, Rosalind began to type in a message to Perseus, that read something like this:
Ugh. I'm exhausted! Care to meet up over some coffee tomorrow? I'm heading out.
So she was! Rosalind turned her back to Alcyone as well, flipping her hair in the process, and towards the exit of the warehouse. What a meaningless meeting the whole thing turned out to be.

Spica would have loved to go to the party, but she was not really found on sweet things. She decided to go home, the moon princess looked busy, and she was sure she will be able to meet her again, but if she wanted to serve her well she needed to train.
So she left the meeting quietly. Transformed back in her civilian clothes and went back home while running. A jogging was always good.

The top three inches of page thirty-three in Sailor Algol's notebook had already been crossed off several times. At the very bottom it read "Senshi Meeting", followed by a crossed off "Senshi callout", "Senshi authority fight", "Fashion Disaster meeting", "Noone Else Has a Ruler? Meeting", and finally, the latest, "Some sort of party." She was getting a little frustrated; if this talk continued on, she was clearly going to run out of space in the margin.
"Note to self", Sailor Algol muttered mostly well, to herself, and probably to Hestia standing nearby, "Bring more notebook paper." Wait this made no sense. "Or just buy notebook paper with larger margins. Seriously people these days."
The content below the margin of her notebook was rather impressive though, featuring a rather long, detailed list of key points such as "Most senshi are female" and "Male senshi are probably eunuchs, approach with caution". There was also an ornate pentagram smack dab in the center of the book, whatever that was meant to do, it was probably more surprising that the senshi of ghosts had enough time in the meeting to spawn it from her 2H leaded pencil. She was getting bored now of adding more symmetrical squiggles onto the end of the pentragram, and briefly looked towards Hestia. "Are they still doing that 'socialising' thing?" She really wish she could have transformed with a watch on.

Hestia had spent the large majority of the meeting being there but not, standing quietly back, but not to the point where she was trying avoiding notice. She held her cellphone in one hand, and discretely logged the senshi she hadn't recorded from the previous meeting. The corners of her mouth dipping down just a bit when she glanced toward the pink-haired...princess? Out of her time. And from the sound of it, another reality as well?
With a minute shake of her head, Hestia continued her task, trying not to think of all the timemachines she had bought of ebay. Maybe this other reality had better sellers?
Pausing at Algol's murmured comment, Hestia made a mental note to bring more notebook paper with extra large margins. "I believe they are, Miss," she answered seriously, giving the room a critical eye, before nodding in satisfaction. Sailor Algol definitely had the best hair in the room. She made a mental note to stock up on more hair products so as to maintain that lead. And wasn't that a familiar shock of blonde, over there?
Euterpe looked healthy enough to not be secretly dying of malnutrition. Catching his eye, she gave him a small smile and a thumb's up. Excellent job, Wheelman.
