Emane Anarion Health: Mostly Full
Location: Hrotanda Vale
Mood: Fight xxEmane watched the the two elves make their way towards the ruin. With a shrug Emane turned back to Shinji. "Have fun." She said with a smirk. Turning back towards the ruin she unsheathed her sword and crept up along the pathway silently. All the mages were focused the person running from them. Just as Emane wanted in the first place there was bait. Opening her hand up with a burst of light that quickly disappeared Emane went invisible. She stood up completely now and ran quickly but quietly towards her foes. It was quite a run considering that they were moving so quickly after the male. Once she got close enough though she let out a frenzy spell onto the nearest mage. With that she darted back a few yards so that she would not be in the commotion of the mage attacking one of his fellow mages. By this time the invisibility spell wore off and Emane became visible to all.
xxNow no longer protected by her magic she saw one of the mages come to a stop and look at her. But the mage she inflicted with the frenzy spell was close to him and threw a lightning spell at him. With confusion the other mage turned his attention to his fellow comrade. Emane took this opening to her advantage and ran towards the confused mage. As he tried to defend himself from the other mage Emane sneaked up behind him and forced her sword through his gut. With a gurgle and blood starting to flow through his mouth and down his chin the mage slowly died. She pulled her blood coated sword out of the mage, a sudden pain ran through left shoulder. She quickly looked up and saw that the frenzied mage had thrown a lightning bolt at her. Emane stared him down with a glowering glare as she waited for his next move.

Șhinji Єxcalibur Health: Perfect
Location: Hrotanda Vale
Mood: Fighting XXX Shinji’s attention was diverted from the seriousness of the moment as five magi came running out of the hideout. ‘I was correct…’ He thought as he watched everyone leave. Eliya disappeared using a chameleon spell, Mora ran towards the fray with her bow, Emane in hot pursuit. He heard Emane’s comment and knew the sarcastic tone well, but took no offense, at least not now. Their minds where set on only killing the guards, but Shinji was willing to get rid of the bandit’s unknown trump card. ‘I must get rid of those enraged magi.’ He thought as he crouched low and made his way closer towards the chaos. He silently moved forward, careful of his steps, just in case. He made it to a tree near the edge of the opening and pressed his back against it. His leather vest and war hammer took most of the rugged feeling away, leaving him in an awkward position but it’s bark still poked at his unprotected shoulders and arms. He shot a short glance around the corner and let a smile plague his face as he brought his face back around to the woods. The others where faring well, Emane had manage to take out one mage and was in a stand off with another, Eliya had yet to show herself, and Mora was doing well at a distance. Only Shinji hadn’t made his move, but he was going to now…
XXX To Shinji’s surprise, the mage that the others where chasing was in completely different attire. ‘Hm, this may work in my favor then.’ He thought as he twisted his head around and stole another look. He saw the magi begin to run in his direction. His hands pulled on the war hammer at his back. He tugged it off with his left hand and gently put the head of the great hammer on the ground. He reached out with his right hand gripped the leathery hilt just above his left hand and waited. Two magi where in pursuit of the man, which gave Shinji a better chance then before. He heard them now and he could smell burning wood as the lightning zapped everything except it’s original target. ‘Stupid magi…’ He thought as the footsteps where closer now. He knew that the man was a full ten strides ahead of the magi, leaving Shinji plenty of time for two clean kills. The foot steps came closer and closer, Shinji stopped breathing, his heart pounding in his head like an old war drum. ‘Master help me…’ He thought as the man ran past him. It was time…
XXX He gripped the war hammer with all of his might and swung precisely three seconds after the man past him. When he was mid swing, he dropped his left hand to his side and finished the swing with only his right. The head mage was in mid stride screaming. “DEZRII-UGH!!!” Shinji’s hammer stopped the man mid-scream, the hammer came smashing into the head mage’s chest, crushing most of his ribs. The mage was wrenched off of his feet and thrown into the air. The hammer followed closely in is wake. The mage stole a glance or two in Shinji's direction, to figure out where the blow came from, but saw nothing. He cursed as he tried to block his fall with his hands, but the hammer stopped him, it hit the ground only moments before he did and it lined up perfectly with his head. When the mage’s forehead connected with the hammer's, it cracked his skull and pronounced his death almost immediately. Blood rushed from the man’s mouth as he lay on top of the hammer, the pain he felt in his chest and face was unlike anything he ever felt before, but luckily for him, it was the last bit of pain he would feel. He laid there with wide eyes as he breathed his last, walking over to Hell's gates, but never once laying eyes on his killer. Shinji had managed a clean kill, but wasted no time getting out of sight and waiting to make his next move.
XXX Shinji, after making contact with the man’s chest, let the hammer fly up with the mage and smash into the ground. He then rolled his body around the tree ninety degrees, hidden out of sight, but still using the same tree as cover. He suspected that the second mage would check his head mage’s condition before searching for Shinji, that left him a full ten seconds of preparing. Shinji gripped his sword hilt and withdrew it from his side, he crouched and moved silently around completing the next ninety degrees around the tree. He came out into the open just behind the other mage’s exposed back. It was just as Shinji pictured it only moments before. The mage never knew what it him in the next instant, nor did Shinji give him a chance to. He stood and stabbed his sword through the man's upper back, paralyzing him only for a second as Shinji's sword connected with his spine and a few of his internal organs. Shinji let go of the hilt and let the already bloodied man fall forward. He hit his master’s back with a low ‘thud’ and was gone from the world. The mage joined his master quicker then he may have wanted to, but he didn't have a choice, now. They where probably sitting at Hell’s gates together now, wondering what happened and waiting for their sentence. Somehow, Shinji had managed to come out unscathed and still unseen, but there was still more to do.
XXX He walked over to his hammer and grabbed it’s long hilt. He pulled it gently out from under the man’s face and slung it over his back. He looked towards Emane, who was still in a stand off with the mage. ‘Looks like I’ve got to give her a break.’ He thought as he rushed over to the edge of the clearing, yanking the sword free of the body as he ran. When he came to the clearing he stopped and stretched his right hand towards the mage’s back. Sure, he could go out there and chop his head off, but right now, Shinji needed to play the support role, because he knew that the guards could be on them at any moment. “Mi-la Del-le…” he whispered as he felt a surge of purge energy eject from his body. He shot a small lightning bolt directly at the man’s back, giving Emane a ‘shocking’ advantage for only a few seconds. If she didn’t kill the man now, Shinji would. All he could do now though, is wait…
XXX As he waited, he felt his body begin to shake. Shinji never killed a man before, so this was a little new to him. He wasn’t worried about it in his mind because he’d seen a good number of deaths in the past, but his body had other plans. It was shaking uncontrollably as long as he crouched still. ‘Emane hurry…’ He thought as he took a look at the sword in his left hand. The blood was dripping in spurts due to Shinji’s intense shaking. He couldn’t hold this position much longer, he had to move, but he waited.

Eliya ~ [ooc- Dusky I would like to point out that your character should not be able to use invisibility or chameleon spells until she is a journeyman in the school of illusion, which she shouldn't be since you have yet to complete any quests - don't worry about changing your post, but please check out the spells available to use at novice and apprentice level. So we have three of the four mages dead, and one guard am I correct? That would leave one mage, and five guards, one of which Emane is staring down XD And then the rest inside...which is probably another five or so?]]
Eliya ran swiftly through the grass, her attention focused on a single target. Chaos was everywhere, but she was not looking at the others; no they would take care of themselves, and if not...well no great loss. The mage assassin felt no attachment towards any of them, though Mora, well Mora's death she might regret. Still invisible, the Altmer reached within her clothes and pulled out two poisoned throwing knives. They zipped through the air, simultaneously finding their marks in the throats of the two guards who stood at the entrance of the ruin. As the bodies dropped to the earthen ground, their faces still held looks of confusion.
Eliya now visible, quickly found a dagger in each hand as she suddenly found herself parrying the sword of another mercenary guard. He'd appeared out of no where and had her abruptly on the defensive. The sound of steel clanging against steel resounded in the evening air as Eliya expertly held her own. But that's exactly what she was doing. She wasn't gaining ground this way. Both her hands were busy keeping the soldier's sword from slicing her in half and it gave her little room to shoot off a spell.
She wouldn't be able to keep this up much longer. Though it was only moments, the sheer weight of the other man was tiring her as he continued to press his attack. He was obviously an expert at swordplay. If Eliya didn't think of something quickly she would likely soon become his next victim.
[ooc- this is an entrance for zel to intervene some how or mora to shoot the guy with an arrow, though I admit I would much prefer zel coming to the rescue XD]

Mora notched another arrow, and took quick inventory of the chaos the erupted around the entrance of the ruin. Spells and confusion dominated, but the Bosmer thought she could pick out of that was not of their group and not of the bandit's either. She furrowed her brow, perplexed, but there was more to worry about now than a guy who didn't look like he was against her party. She quickly chose a hostile target and loosed the notched arrow. The man fell with an arrow in his heart. She didn't even watch him fall, however. She had to take inventory of the rest of the party, as she was the only healer in the party. The first person she saw was Shinji who, while not looking physically injured, was looking extremely shaken but determined. He had the look of someone shocked by the death around him. She knew the feeling. She could also help.
Mora removed herself from her hiding spot and sprinted over to the pale Redguard. She touched his shoulder and channeled Inspiration through her fingertips. His body would rally with his emotions for a while, and he would probably stop shaking so badly when he was still. "You're doing well," said Mora as she did this. That should be enough to keep him going at the pace he was. She had seen the blood splatter his hammer had dealt and was duly impressed so far.
Just as she finished this action, she looked up to see Eliya in a rather bad position. Mora gritted her teeth and quickly aimed at the man putting pressure at her elven friend. She sent the arrow whizzing through the air and into the man's leg. Hopefully it would cause him to falter, but she had seen men take a wound such as that one and not even notice it until after their target had been killed. The Bosmer cursed her inability to get a better shot than that one.

Nothing could prepare Zel for the amount of undisciplined carnage he met at the surface. Either the group was terribly unorganized and lacked a leader or simply hadn't the time to organize an ambush in time. Either way, Zel would have to improvise. For now he would play the faux-tank, the tease to distract his hunters to the point of obsession. He threw the occasional thunderbolt behind him and though many of them hit, none had the strength to land a fatal blow. That was not Zel's intention anyway, he simply wanted to annoy them enough that his new allies could deal with them unhindered. Of course, that could only last so long.
Typically Zel was a formidable opponent both at range or in melee, utilizing his quarterstaff and sword for target and touch spells respectively, along with using the staff to parry and the sword to cleave into his enemies. For now, though, with both hands bare, he would have to make do with raw magic. Zel wasn't complaining much. Raw magic was perfectly fine with him.
Most of the mob was cut down before they managed to disperse, but one particular guard had a mage, a female by the look of it, on the defensive. It was remarkable that she could hold the longsword with simple daggers at all, she must have been quite proficient in their use, but Zel was well aware that it would not last. A simple target spell was risky. His aim could falter. He could miscalculate the needed power. The smallest mistake and the girl would be gravely, if not fatally, injured. He had to be certain. And, as every good archer knows, the only way to be certain you'll hit is to fire point-blank.
So Zel ran. He picked himself up and charged at the guard, gathering momentum on the way as he brought his chin down and shoulder forward to brace for impact. Sure, Zel had more strength than your average Altmer, but this guard was no Altmer. Of course, his lack of raw strength was replaced by his understanding of momentum and friction. The guard's footing was leaned forward, making a sideways charge impossible to brace against. This particular Redguard, however, either had a shred of intellect or really good instinct, because he managed to tilt his head to the right as a passing glance to see an Altmer mage charging at him with fists engulfed in flames. His body rushed with a surge of adrenaline in an attempt to make a last stand, giving the girl a good, unbalancing shove before turning to the right and- SLAM.
Of course, he was too late. Zel already had one hand wrapped around the guard's sword arm, with the other firmly around the man's neck. With a quick twist of the arm, Zel sent a shock of pain through the man's body strong enough to disarm him, dropping the sword to the ground, the hand around the man's throat inching upwards over his helm's visor, the burning power growing more intense as Zel surged all his remaining magicka into the touch spell. There was no holding back now. There was a loud hissing sound as the visor began to melt. As Zel expected, there was flailing. A lot of flailing. His adrenaline rush spent, however, there was little the Redguard could do but have his roars muffled to gurgles once his face was covered in molten iron.
Zel himself was panting heavily, his knee firmly placed on the fallen guard's breastplate. He gently, slowly began to let go once he was satisfied that the man was dead, along with the rest of the team that had made it to the surface. Isolating the magi had given them a powerful advantage. For now, though, the panting Altmer needed a little down time to regenerate his physical and magical energies.

Emane Anarion Health: Mostly Full
Location: Hrotanda Vale
Mood: Fight xxJust as the mage was about to throw another lightning bolt at Emane he staggered and was stunned as he was attacked from behind. Emane hesitated for half a second, but seeing that this was her chance to slay the mage in front of her she put both hands onto the handle of her blood soaked sword and ran at the mage in full blast. As she neared the mage she pulled the sword up and ran it through his gut. She stood there a second with the sword still in the mage. Deathly sounds escaped his throat. With no mercy she then pulled up with great force. The sword exited the body through the sword in a splatter of blood. Some landing onto Emane's face. After the event of mutilating a man Emane let out a gasp of breath. The whole time she had forgotten to breath, with sword still in hand she let it fall to her side.
xxShe opened her eyes and looked up seeing Shinji. Her eyes silently examined the blood all over him and his shaking body. Has he never killed someone before? She thought to herself while watching him. There was still fighting around them but she couldn't help but feel for him and had to at least say something. She would never forget the first man she killed. It was what shaped her into what she was now. Emane's feet walked slowly towards him. She stopped just a foot in front of him and placed her free hand onto his shoulder and gave it a tight squeeze. "Pull through this, keep strong." She said in a tight voice. She then let him go and turned back to the where the fight was. As she did so she felt the blood that had splattered onto her face slowly drip down. Slowly but surely she picked up pace as she went towards the others to help them out.

Eliya ~ As Eliya parried, she fought the panic that threatened to well up from within. She was going to die if she didn't think of something. Think Eliya, think! The clang of sword on daggers rang loudly in her ear as Eliya twisted and maneuvered the sword away from her face with her weapons. Her strength at such a furious onslaught was weakening and as she deflected a fraction of a second too late, the sword of her nemesis caught her cheek making a shallow cut on her face. No! With a surge of strength Eliya continued her parry, reaching out and slicing him lightly on the arm. It didn't do any major damage but immediately after, he stumbled and with a quick glance Eliya saw an arrow protruding from his leg. That had to hurt. Thank you Mora.
The mage assassin's relief quickly dissipated as the monster of a man continued fighting. Eliya aimed a strong kick at his bad leg, but the mercenary seemed to see it coming and moved out of the way. Then, very abruptly, the redgaurd male did something unexpected and Eliya felt herself shoved, hard to the ground. Reflexively she rolled with it, only to jump up and see a man she'd never met before kill her previous nemesis. She felt no compassion or remorse as she heard the screams that came from the melted helmet, but quickly he was silent, dead.
Who was this man? He was likely the one who had ruined their carefully laid plans, but didn't appear to be part of the bandits...but then perhaps he was, and perhaps he was a deserter. Eliya held her daggers in front of her defensively, ready to unleash a spell as she waited for the man to face her. She risked a quick glance around. It looked as if they'd taken care of all those on the surface. Now they just needed take care of those who still remained within the fort. She turned her attention back quickly to the light haired man as he stood up. "Speak quickly stranger." Even as she spoke Eliya made a quick decision and released a silence spell at the man. If he was a threat she could quickly dispose of him, but she certainly wasn't going to let him do to her what he'd just done to the merc.

Yaa'namora Mora slipped out from the brush she was hiding in and approached the rest of the party who was standing at the entrance of the ruins. She took a moment to retrieve the arrows she had shot. There had been only two, she realized. The carnage of the other members of the group had left her with with the chance to kill only one enemy. Had she been anyone else but Mora, she might have resented the other members or felt as if she had fallen short. But she was herself and could only be glad that the fight was over and they had won. The first arrow she shot was in good shape; she wiped it off a little and put it back in her quiver. the second arrow, in the leg of the big guy who was molesting Eliya earlier, was bent and broken. She examined it for a moment then threw it back on top of the corpse with a shrug. The loss was apparently acceptable. She stood, looking at the others standing around.
"Anyone need healing?" She asked them, but they all looked relatively unscathed to her. It was polite to ask, of course. Some people were marvelous at hiding pain and injury. Those were the type who hated feeling vulnerable. Mora trusted that these people weren't as foolish as that.
The whole time the Bosmer woman was watching the new guy who had created the chaos. She regarded him warily. He had been a great help in that particular battle, but he had come from below. Either he was a spy and had blown his cover or he was a prisoner newly escaped. She didn't trust the kind of spy that infiltrated the enemy; too often they ended up sympathizing. This warlock didn't look like a newly freed prisoner. Mora wanted to question him before the advanced, but Eliya had already asked him to explain, so she stood back, listened, and readied herself for anything.

Emane Anarion Health: Mostly Full
Location: Hrotanda Vale
Mood: Devastated xxSeeing that so far everyone was alright, except Eliya who had that one guy who was running around next to her. But from the looks of it, it appeared that she had it handled. It was only until now that she realized that she had been panting this whole time. Running around and swing a heavy sword with one hand can be quite the workout. She thought back on Shinji. Even though she didn’t like his nature she felt worried about him. She did not realize that this was his first time in a true battle where there is real death. It happens to all of us eventually but its different for everyone. Some take it well, others enjoy it, and then there are the ones who can’t quite handle and comprehend it. Emane wasn’t sure if it would be a good idea to leave Shinji alone at a time like this. His will was fragile and could turn on him at any second.
xxShe dashed back to find Shinji, but saw that he was nowhere in site, that was until she barely got a glimpse of him running into the fort. She cursed loudly and ran after him. He was going to get himself killed. Before entering into the fort she looked back at the others, she hopped they saw that she was going into the fort and would soon follow after disposing of the last of the bandits. As she entered the fort she found herself in total darkness. She used a light spell so she could actually see what was in front of her. It was extremely quiet and surprisingly so; she had expected more bandits in this area. Off in the distance her eye’s caught a figure moving ahead of her. Thinking it was Shinji her fact pace came to a jog. When she finally reached him she pulled him back by the shoulder. ”You shouldn’t be running off like that. It’s reckless and could possibly get others killed not to mention yourself.” She said sternly. But to her surprise he didn’t say anything back. She thought he would be talking roughly back at her but he didn’t. Probably still shaken up. She hopped he would get a hold of himself soon. It would do no one any good if one of the members of the party suddenly gave out.
xxThey were far from the exit now so there was no point then to just push on and get this quest over with. Things so far have not gone the way she had planned, actually things were way off of what she thought would happen. As they went deeper in she felt a chill go through her. It was perfect weather outside but in here it was freezing. The old stone around them seemed to be closing in, the passage appeared to get narrower. A stench of death enclosed around them. Something was amiss, and the feeling got even worst as they kept walking into the abyss. Emane stopped and held Shinji’s arm so he wouldn’t keep going on. ”We should wait for the others, there’s something not right here.” She said in a low voice. She was normally the fearless one who would go running headfirst into these kind of situations but this time there was something different. Something besides bandits was here. Shinji pulled away his arm. ”What are you talking about? Were almost there, and if were lucky the bandits won’t even know what hit them and we’ll clean out the place even before Mora and Eliya get in here.” Emane narrowed her eyes in a scowl at him. This boy was getting more foolish every hour.
xxShinji started to move on again and not wanting to leave him alone Emane followed. As they went Emane went over in her head on why she was even bothering to babysit this boy. The light spell was now wearing off and they would both soon be back in total darkness. She wanted to save up her mana for the big fight later on so she made the decision not to use any mana to cast another light spell. They would have to deal with getting through the dark. Emane was used to working in the dark so it wouldn’t be that bad for her eyes to adjust. As for Shinji, well he would somehow get along. When the light finally went out to her surprise there was a torch light not far away. She picked up pace but still remained a sufficient silence. She stopped and hugged the wall putting a hand out to Shinji telling him to stay there and stay quiet. She looked around the corner and bones and weapons laying on the floor with a crouching fury creature in the corner chewing on something. Emane tried to make out what the monster was, for she had never seen anything like it before. Shinji then poked his head around with her and examined the site. ”It’s a troll.” He whispered. The two came back to there original position and gave each other a look. All Emane could think of was to go charge the damn thing and kill it. But Shinji seemed to have the upper hand here on the knowledge of trolls. ”What do you know about trolls?” She asked quickly, Shinji gave her a thoughtful reply. ”All I know is that fire really hurts them, they can heal themselves, and well…..they’re just really hard to kill.” Little did Emane know Shinji hadn’t exactly fought a troll before, he had only read about them in books.
xxEmane thought out their battle plan. It was a simple one and should at least do something. ”You know some destruction magic right?” ”Why wouldn’t I?” Emane was getting irritated with his cockiness and was planning on beating him by the end of this. ”I want you to throw a fireball at that troll, get his attention onto you. Then when he’s got his back turned I’ll charge him.” ”Is that really all you got?” ”It’s good enough for now.” Emane said hurriedly.
xxShinji started to charge up his fireball and jumped around the corner throwing the fire at the beast. A blood-curdling howl escaped the beast and charged at Shinji who was overwhelmed by the speed of the troll. He ran to the other side of the room and the troll followed. Emane looked around the corner and saw the side of the troll. It wasn’t exactly a back stab but she needed to get in there before Shinji was eaten. She actually wouldn’t mind that since he was a little annoying p***k and more loot for her in the end but she wasn’t one to betray her allies. She ran towards the troll with her sword unsheathed and ready to spill blood. The troll noticed her at the last second and used its great arm to throw her back. Emane hit the ground hard and found the troll now over her body. It had a horrible stench and slobbery saliva dripped from its mouth and fell onto her. It made her want to gag. The troll was just about to bite down and take what would be Emane’s face but Shinji had thrown another fireball at the beast. Taking this opportunity she used her sword and shoved up into the belly of the beast. It gave out a howl and staggered off of her. Shinji ran to her side and helped her up. In the meantime the troll was starting to regenerate its health. ”We need to kill this thing fast!” ”I think that’s going to still take some time.” Shinji took a step forward and always wanting to be the hero he would attempt something his body was not capable of handling. ”I’ll charge him this time” Before Emane could stop him Shinji shot off towards the troll.
xxShinji pulled out his iron warhammer and threw another fireball at the troll. As the troll cowered from the fireball Shinji took his warhammer and bashed it down onto the troll’s head. Although it was a devastating hit the creature still lived. When Shinji lifted his warhammer once again trying to get another hit on the troll this time hopping to kill it the troll grabbed hold of his neck and pushed him to the wall. Emane seeing what was about to take place charged the troll. The troll squeezed on Shinji’s throat and clawed him across the stomach. Blood now gushed from his mouth and wounds. This all happened so fast that Emane could not do anything about it. When she reached the troll she forced her sword up through its head. It took great effort because of the thick skin and fur on the troll but with the great rage of the troll about to kill a comrade she had a new strength. Once the sword passed through the skull the creature let go of Shinji’s mangled body and fell heavy to the earth.
xxEmane ran straight to Shinji’s side. He was still alive but barely. That idiot, trying to be the hero. ”Shinji stay with me! Emane said desperately. Her eyes went to his stomach where you could see some of his organs and the pool of blood that was now forming around them. She moved an arm under him and pulled him up so he was close to her. ”You’re going to be ok, I’m going to get you out of this.” She said while putting her free hand onto his face tenderly. ”It was a good day.” He said with a smile. ”First time I was ever with respectable people. People I would of liked to call friends at some point. But now…I see that’s not going to happen.” ”Don’t talk like that. You’re going to be fine.” She said with a choke. Even though she never did really like Shinji she was starting to look upon him almost like a little brother. They both had something that connected in the strangest way; it wasn’t visible but something in the soul. She knew nothing about his life and never would, but that doesn’t stop her from wishing she could have known him better.
xx”I know I’ve been bothersome but….all I’ve really wanted to do was be of some use to others. Thank you for putting up with me.” ”You’ve been quite a pain in the a** but it was an adventure.” She said with a laugh. Emane could see now that his life was coming closer to an end. Every time he spoke blood would gush a little more out of him. Shinji started to cough and blood started to spit out more now. Emane’s leather armor was becoming a stain of dark red. It would never wash out and would always be a reminder for her of how she had failed to save Shinji. She could have stopped this. It could have been her on the floor dying right now, not Shinji. She felt responsible and would need to account for it. If she could trade places with Shinji right now she would but it was all a useless wish. She could now feel the darkness starting to come over Shinji. ”I just hope the Divines accept me” He said with a smile. Emane smiled with him. ”They will, I’ll make sure of it.” She then placed her hand over his head, closed her eyes and spoke a prayer. When she finished she reopened her eyes and looked over Shinji. ”Walk the path of the Knights of the Nine and live with them in paradise.” She spoke as Shinji’s spirit started to leave him.
xxShinji now lay dead in Emane’s arms. She felt the need to show more emotion to his death but ever since the day she found out her parents had died she could no longer cry for anything else. She moved her hand over his eyes and closed his eyelids. She didn’t bother to move and lay him down. She couldn’t let go of his body. Even though she had been responsible for so many deaths, it hurt more when it was someone you cared about. Who knew what Emane and Shinji could have done. She could have showed him the ropes of fighting. She could have showed him the vast lands of Cyrodiil. Who knew…but it was all gone now. Her grip tightened and pulled his limp body even closer. ”It was my fault….it was my fault….it was my fault.” She kept repeating to herself. This whole quest was a foolish mistake. Far more was going to happen then she thought. She had lost comrades before and they all hurt but there was nothing like watching them die in your arms. This would be an event that would forever haunt her.

Eliya ~ [ooc- nice post dusky!] Unexpectedly, and to Eliya's surprise, the male mage said nothing but abruptly turned and fled. Raising an eyebrow in confusion, Eliya wondered if she should chase after him. Perhaps he was a coward. Or perhaps there was something more to his action. Shrugging Eliya turned and glanced at Mora; her green eyes wandered looking for their other companions but they were no where to be seen. They must have entered the ruin already?
"Do you think the others have gone inside already?" Eliya was already moving towards the entrance as she said this. She gave one of the guards she had killed earlier an absent kick to roll his body out of the way and then recalling she had used two of her throwing knives, swiftly bent down to retrieve them from both bodies. She deftly wiped the blood on the grass to clean them, and took the opportunity to search the corpses' bodies. One had twenty-six gold and the other had thirty. Not much but still helpful. One even had a weak potion of luck. Standing up, the mage assassin tossed the bottle at the Bosmer behind her.
They entered....[ooc- take it from there confusedinsanity!]

Yaa'namora The Bosmer met Eliya's eyes and shared her look of confusion at the sudden departure of the mage who had helped them. Though that was probably for the better that he fled. She didn't know if she could trust him no matter how helpful he had been to the group. Mora let out a deep breath and opened her mouth to say something to Shinji, remembering how shaken he had been in the battle. But she didn't see him. Nor was Emane in view. Eliya wondered aloud if they had gone into the fort. Mora nodded. "The boy does want to prove himself very badly." she agreed.
She wanted to go in immediately, but figured that Emane had gone after him and was probably reining him in by now. Besides, it would do no good to further separate the party and render them vulnerable to whomever else lurked down in the ruins. So she waited while Eliya picked through the bodies. Had she been the looting type she would be helping, but Mora didn't figure any of the bandits would have anything she wanted. The Altmer did find something useful, though, and it was tossed to Mora promptly. She snatched it from the air deftly and inspected it, turning the bottle in her hands and sniffing the contents. "Potion of luck... hmm... Might be helpful if Emane and Shinji aren't easily located." she said outloud to herself as put it with her other potions.
Seeing that Eliya was ready to go, Mora approached the entrance and walked into the dank ruins. Already she could tell it was going to be much colder down there. Especially if it went very deep in the ground. There were no bandits directly in view, but neither were the rest of their party. Mora grimaced. There seemed to be regular traffic going through this entrance - of course - so it would be extremely hard to track them. With one glace back at her companion, Mora downed the luck potion and silently hurried off where fancy took her. It was far from an exact science, and Mora knew she was just as likely to find an abandoned chest as she was the rest of the party. But it was the only thing they had going from them. She found herself going down a passage that looked a little less used, a little further and she came across an opening. It was dark, but she thought she could see bones and a furry lump on the ground and... Mora sprinted forward
"Emane!" she said in a strained whisper, not wanting to alert whatever else was out there. Of course, the battle that had seemingly just occurred would have produced plenty of sound but whatever. Mora knelt down beside the woman and the corpse, her face strained in anger and sorrow. She wanted to pump the most powerful healing spell she had into Shinji's broken body, but Mora knew in the rational part of her brain that she would only be healing lifeless gore. Instead, Mora began trying gently to extricate the body from Emane's grip, not caring about the blood getting on her armor. "We have bandits to kill. We'll take him up and give him a proper burial after we've cleared these wretched ruins."

Emane Anarion Health: Mostly Full
Location: Hrotanda Vale
Mood: Enraged xxOff in the distance Emane heard Mora call her name quietly. She wasn't exactly that far away but from her grief nothing around her seemed to be real. As Mora gently pulled Shinji's body away from her she refused to let go at first but then slowly let him go as Mora reasoned with her. She remained silent but nodded as a response to Mora. When Shinji's limp body lay on the ground Emane folded his hands over each other and standing up straight let her hand float over his body. She whispered yet another prayer. When she finally had herself pulled together she walked over to Mora and Eliya. "Let's finish this quickly." She said with a cold tone.
Without waiting for the others she started down the tunnel that was on the other side of the room. Surely it would lead them somewhere that would have bandits and if not? Well you just have to follow your nose. Emane at this time still looked uneasy and ready to just tear apart anything in her way. She was going to take her rage out on these bandits and give Shinji a respectable burial after all this. It was still just so hard to believe that he was gone. Here she didn't even care about what would happen to him but now all of sudden she cared. It didn't make sense to her. He really was a bit like her when she was younger and still a fresh fighter. After walking for some time she found a passage that lead down to where there was torchlight. She turned to Eliya and Mora to make sure they were with her. When she saw that they were she headed down the passage.

Eliya ~ Eliya followed the Bosmer woman as she moved through the dark corridors of the ruin. If the Altmer hadn't just observed the other woman drink the potion of luck she'd previously tossed at her, she might have questioned the instinctive way the elf was moving through the passageways. As it was, luck proved to be on their side and within minutes they found themselves at the entrance to a dark and stinking room, just down a hallway that looked seldom used. Eliya had discreetly slipped on her ring of night-eye when they'd entered the dark ruin, and now at the sight that greeted her, she almost wished she'd left it off.
The blue tones of her night eye vision did nothing pleasant to the sight before her. If anything it made it more unpleasant by sharp contrast. Emane was huddled in a corner, cradling Shinji's broken and bloody body. Mora had sprinted forward quickly, but having hung back a bit, Eliya just now approached the two woman who were kneeling over his body. His limp body was soaked in blood, his entrails hanging out of him, obviously the result of the dead Ogre piled a bit away.
Eliya said nothing, but simply watched as Mora gently took the body from Emane. Well....the young man's death was unfortunate....but they had a job to do and Eliya was hardly one to grieve for someone she'd just met the day before. Granted only a little while ago the mage had been alive and well....and now...he most certainly wasn't. This wasn't the first time Eliya had experienced losing an acquaintance on the job. Fortunately since she practiced having minimal attachment to anyone at all, his death did not bother her as much as it obviously bothered the other two women. As far as the Altmer was concerned, Shinji's death now meant one person less to ensure the success of their task.
But she wouldn't say any of this of course. She would keep her thoughts to herself. She was a professional and just because she kept herself detached during jobs it didn't mean everyone else did or could. That being said, his death did serve as a fresh reminder for Eliya not to become attached to anyone. She nodded at Emane's words as the other woman stood up, her eyes and tone cold, suppressed with deadly anger. Eliya smoothly stepped aside to let the other woman lead ahead. Her anger would be good fuel for killing the rest of the bandits and creatures that lurked inside. As Eliya followed behind Emane and Mora, she found herself thinking it odd that they hadn't run into anyone on their way in.... perhaps it had just been the potion of luck? Or could it be something else entirely?
Slightly discomforted at this thought, Eliya cautiously eyed her surroundings as she moved. The Altmer had the slightly uneasy feeling that something was about to jump out and ambush them. With a dagger in each hand Eliya kept a cautious eye over her shoulder. Abruptly she stopped in her tracks as she heard a familiar yet distinct metal clicking sound. Moving with an almost unnatural burst of speed she leaped forward and roughly shoved the other two woman down, hitting the floor painfully after them as a large WHOOSH sound was suddenly heard. Eliya looked up from where she lay, the wind partially knocked out of her, to see a large spiked log swinging at the place they had just been standing.
A yell from not far away was suddenly heard as well as the sound of several footsteps. More bandits!

Yaa'namora When Mora had finally wrested the cooling body of Shinji from Emane's desperate grip, she helped set him down on the hard stone floor. She sat back on her knees as Emane arranged his body in a more dignified position, and added to the Imperial woman's prayers with her own. She wished she had a cloak to cover him with, but they were all in their gear for a fight where a cloak would only get in the way. Mora stood, fists clenched until they grew pale with effort. The Bosmer had to keep her irrational emotions from blaming herself. They told her she should have been watching Shinji, should have known he would forge ahead and try to prove himself, should have known he would have gotten himself killed. I need to still be able to think. I can't let Emane and Eliya down. Not now. Mora looked over to the other elf, studying her distant expression. Eliya was taking this much better than Emane. In fact, it hardly looked like the Altmer cared. Actually, maybe that was worse than being nigh uncontrolled with grief. That was the sane way for any emotional being to act. Mora was struggling with it herself, but she didn't envy Eliya's control. That had to have either come with much practice or a complete disregard for party members. As a healer, Mora couldn't imagine either situation.
Her mind heavy with serious thought, the wood elf followed Emane out the passageway. She wasn't paying attention as well as she should, and let out a surprised yelp when she was pushed away suddenly by Eliya behind her. She hit the ground on her side, making it sting uncomfortably. It was much preferable to the heavy sounding object that swung above her. She cursed her inattention, telling herself that she knew better than to let herself get so complacent.
She was about to leap to her feat when she heard the yell of a man and a saw the feet of someone approaching at a jog. She wouldn't be able to untangle her bow in time to get a shot into him. Instead, se used her elven agility to sweep her legs forward and send the man crashing to the ground. He probably wouldn't have fell for it if he hadn't been expecting some dazed, crushed warriors who had fallen into the trap. The Bosmer pulled out her only other weapon - a dagger - and slashed out at the confused and downed man. He gasped, clutching at the blood spilling from his neck. Mora took the opportunity to scramble to her feet and step away from the man in his gurgling death throes. There were two other men in sight, and Mora figured there would be more to come, but the other two women would have to cover for her while she drew her bow. The Bosmer wasn't good enough to do much harm in hand-to-hand combat without surprise on her side.

Emane Anarion Health: Mostly Full
Location: Hrotanda Vale
Mood: Ambient xxEmane was ready to go on ahead but suddenly felt her body pushed by the Altmer. With sudden yells from around them. She looked around furiously looking for anyone coming close. Mora took down the bandit that had ran at them first. Seeing that she needed time to get herself ready Emane unsheathed her sword, the sound echoing through the tunnel along with the yelling of the bandits. Emane's eye's moved to Eliya, who appeared to also be ready for this. Gripping the sword with both hands she focused on a wave of seven bandits running towards them with clubs and swords in hand.
xxWith a shift of her feet Emane took off in a sprint towards the ugly bandits. As she collided with the bandit in front of her she felt her sword get stuck between his ribs. Unable to pull it out quick enough for the next bandit who was about to attack her head on, Emane let go of the handle of her blade and pulled the dagger out that was trapped to her thigh. She waited for the bandit to reach her, as he rose his arm to slam the spiked club in his hand down into her head she stuck the knife into the side of his neck and pulled out quickly. The bandit fell to the ground. Now having a little time she put her foot on the body that held her sword and pulled out the sword, a disgusting sound of breaking ribs coming along with it.
