"It doesn't look that dark from here," she said tilting her head. "And such HUGE buildings! I mean, this is it, this is the future and the human race is still around! How about that, I would have expected a nuclear war to have wiped us out by now."
She suddenly felt hungry so she dug into her coat pocket and retrieved her pear. She bit down and ate quite pleased with herself. She was in the future, sitting with a Time Lord, eating pears.

His eye's widened and he was suddenly a few meters away from her. "Why are you eating a pear?!" he squeked in alarm.

Aven looked at him as if he were asking why she was breathing.
"What else do you propose I do with a pear?" she asked raising an eyebrow, "I was hungry... Oh wait, I think I have another one, here."
She dug out a second pear and offered it to him.

The Doctor was even farther away now. "Throw it away!!" he panicked.

Aven looked at the spare pear and took a bite out of her own.
"Why? There's nothing wrong with it," she said standing up and following him. Was there something in the time traveling rules against pears? "I just bought them this morning and... why are you so far away?"

Aven blinked a few times waiting for him to continue.
"That's it?" she asked, "Well now you're just being silly, Doctor. Have you even tried a pear before?"
She chased him down. "Here I thought I'd violated some obscure time law regarding pears. Besides, pears are good for you!"

She started chasing after him pear in hand.
"You're being ridiculous, it can't possibly be worse than a banana, and I manage to choke those down!" she called out. He was fast but his long coat trailed behind him and Aven quickly grabbed at its hem.

The Doctor landed on his face and started to crawl away for safety. "Bananas are good!" he yelled in defense.

Aven finally tackled him and pinned him down.
"Bananas are vile!" she said, " They're nature's sick little joke. 'Oh yes I'll give you potassium, but I'll package it in a disgusting mushy paste.' Incredibly gross!"

He squirmed and tried to push her off. "NEVER! I WILL NOT LET YOU!!!" he said while pulling away even with her on top of him. From far away this would extremely odd.

Aven pinned him by his shoulders and practically sat on his chest.
"Honestly! How old are you?" she asked the squirming man, "You've probably never even properly try a pear have you?"
She waved the fruit over his face. "Well?"

He got a look on his face that he was about to barf. He could not even stand the smell of pears which with his Timelordy sense of smell made the scent of the fruit nosiating.
